I just noticed something odd in the text of tree stride, the range depends on the tree you entered and at the bottom of the chart is this:

Other deciduous 1,500 feet
Any coniferous 1,000 feet
All other trees 500 feet
I found myself thinking, "I it's not coniferous or deciduous, what is it?"

It would have to be an evergreen tree that is not a conifer, i.e., doesn't produce cones for its seeds. Tropical rainforest trees fall into this category. That's right, druids love oaks but they're not too hot about the rainforest.

I see what you did there.

Why on earth would that restriction be in place?

Seriously, what were they thinking smoking at WotC when they wrote that?

Please enlighten me. I think I took flaw(unintended inuendo) to get a bonus feat.

I suspected as much, but that's where I hit a dead end on further inuendo.

Ehm, it might be a legacy of previous generations of D&D, much like the "bag of holding + portable hole = doom" thing. I don't own books for the older editions, but it sounds vaguely familiar from when I used to.
