View Full Version : Yu-Gi-Oh PbP - Shadow Elf (Garden of Torment) vs Allan (United Army)

A black-haired man, perhaps in his early-twenties entered the arena; he pondered inserted his deck into a standard duel-disc, then made a declaration.

"May the best man win."

((I'll post my numbers after you, I think.))

A great stone archway in ancient Egyptian style appears before you. A portal opens beneath it, and out steps a lavender-skinned elf. His dueldisk is similarly archaic.

The Forbidden One has sent me. I wish you luck, for you will need it if you hope to beat the warrior Exodia has gifted me with.

I activate my facedown card, Pollinosis, which cancels the summoning of your Marauding Captain and destroys him, at the cost of my facedown card, which is Dandylion. Its destruction gives me two Fluff Tokens. Any objections on your part?

I summon Gigantic Cephalotus, in attack mode! I will then activate Black Garden, my field spell! After which I then attack your facedown with my deadly plant. After all of that, I end my turn.

"You have triggered my Warrior Lady of the Wasteland's special ability, which allows me to search through my deck for an Earth-type Warrior and summon it to the field; I choose Elemental Hero Wildheart, who's attack is halved by your Black Garden. Does this change your move in any form?"

Shadow_Elf
2010-01-30, 10:55 PM
No, but it does add a lovely rose token to my side of the field. The life force stolen from the Elemental Hero by the black-spined garden causes a flower to bloom on the elf's side of the field. ((It has 800/800 and is in attack mode))

Allan Surgite
2010-01-30, 10:58 PM
[roll0]

"Now that it's my turn, I believe I will summon Marauding Captain from my hand. This allows me to summon Rose, Warrior of Revenge from my hand as well."

The two additional monsters appeared on the field and were drained of their Attack; however, only one new Rose Token appeared. "And with that, I activate the tuner ability of my Rose, Warrior of Revenge; I sacrifice Elemental Hero Wildheart and Rose, Warrior of Revenge to summon the Colossal Fighter!" The giant beast reared up, and was drained by the Black Garden.

((The above is my interpretation of Black Garden's effect; if I'm incorrect, don't hesitate to correct me.))

"However, the attack of my giant grows for every Warrior type monster in my graveyard; I count four of 'em, so my Fighter is still strong at 1800. And I'm going to beef him up more with United We Stand, which raises his attack to a mighty 3400 attack power. I will then crush one of your Rose Tokens that are in attack position. You lose 2600 life points, and my Captain will eliminate one of the tokens left over from Dandylion.

Your move, once again."

A new development! Oh, how I do love those! Also, destroying those tokens gave my Cephalotus 400 more attack points.

Draw: [roll0]
Rerolls: [roll1]

Okay, now this ends here! Firstly, I activate The World Tree, which will back me up when plants are destroyed. I then summon Nettles, who have their attack halved to 600. Next, I use Mark of the Rose, removing Dandylion from play to take control of your Colossal Fighter. His attack is boosted by 4000 by your United We Stand card, as I have 5 face-up monsters, making for a total of 5800. I then destroy your monster with my Rose Token for 100 damage, making Colossal Fighter's attack 5900. He will destroy your newly-made Rose Token for 5100 damage, increasing Gigantic Cephalotus's attack by 200. I then activate The World Tree's effect, expending a flower token to increase the Cephalotus's attack by 400. It and the Nettles attack directly, for the win, unless your facedown can do something about all this. The elf breathes in and out, recovering from his long explanation of his turn.

...didn't see that coming XD;;

Good game, even if I'm not sure on whether United We Stand applies to the controller of the monster as opposed to the person who played the spell/trap. But it hardly matters, as I'm quite willing to accept this loss. Thanks for your time~

Very good game! I have never pulled off such a crazy combination, ever before. Ever. I enjoyed that game thoroughly, even though I didn't even draw Obelisk.
