About to start a level 5 evil campaign in a heavily homebrewed 3.5, low-magic world. The PCs are high level criminals in an illicit drug-running guild. I'm checking out the drugs in the book of vile darkness as well as the arms & equipment guide, but I'm looking for a list of homebrewed drugs and alcohols I could use in the campaign or a third party source that I could procure that would aid me in my creation of terrible, horrible, no good, very bad drugs. If such things do not exist, I'll be using this thread as a resource to post the creations of me and my friend (who has recently DMed a campaign containing some of these themes).

Also of note, I'm intending to addict all the PCs to some of the product (it's the tactic the crime boss uses to control them). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Haven't really reviewed them in detail, but there's alternate alcohol rules here (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Alcohol_Rules_(3.5e_Variant_Rule)) as well as links to a few different drinks on that page, a whole bunch of different alcohols here (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Types_of_Alcohol_(Zyanya_Supplement)), if you're using standard rules (I think, never bothered with it), and a few non-alcoholic drugs here (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Beneficial_Drugs_(DnD_Variant_Rule)), though they're all very simple.

Those aside, there's also a 'April fools' type bartender class here (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Barkeeper_(3.5e_Class)) (though it is still quite playable, I think), and a variant take on a drunken master here (http://dungeons.wikia.com/wiki/Drunken_Master,_Tome_(3.5e_Prestige_Class)), which might come in handy, might not.

I had originally planned on making an addict type class at one point, though it never came through. I may go make a few drugs now though, just for stool and giggles. Will link/post if I do.

If you are looking for more poisons then you should look at the free preview for Pale Design from Bastion Press. You can find it here: http://dragonwing.net/Pale_Designs.htm. If you Google d20 and poison, I'm sure you'll find other resources.

As for rules on alcohol, there have been several 3rd party supplements. Sword & Sorcery's The Book of Taverns, Dark Quest's The Taverner's Trusty Tome, and probably others.

Oh, poisons. I almost forgot. There's an interesting re-write here (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19573462/Wrecans_Variant_Poison_Rules?pg=1), though you'll still have to determine some things for yourself.

Aww, I came here expecting a game where the premise is that the adventure's all in their head...
