The shot of Oscar was in 1533 AC. In 1542 AC, steam vehicles are very common, although all owned by the government (in the UNA, private property is almost non-existent, you don't even own your house).

First day of my last high-school year is starting tomorrow. Top of the heap at last, and in my school, to show that you're the best, you don't have to wear the horrible uniform anymore.

Best still, they let me in even though I failed the last year, and basically said (Fairly casually, I might add) "Well, pass this year and last year won't matter.". I didn't even have to grovel, and most teachers just kinda looked me over and said "You're in." without much consideration at all. Tomorrow I'll know what my timetable is, get to talk to some people, and leave. Next day is when school really begins.

And you know what? I can't wait, ABR. It's time to prove myself. Kick butt and take names - it's go time.

Probably somewhere in Schitzotec Schitzland, where resistance is strong and the UNA keeps order with a heavy hand. The two previously mentioned cities are Skornbail (A major port city) and Technograd (The capital), they could easily be in either one of those.

Depends on what child you ask. Tickle torture is using tickling as torture, in this case getting them to admit something, I find it a better way to achieve the goal than outright hurting people*

There isn't anything important in the Schizian Front, just some minor criminal activity, while in Merinas the Peacekeepers are searching for Lorna's emerald and the ALF is there to stop them. :smallconfused:

Also, should you want to make a Merinas comic, there are no "rookie" Peacekeepers like the ones in your non-canon comic, they are all highly-trained Special Ops. If you want cannon fodder use zombies.

Something's wrong with inkscape. I can't make things a layer higher, and when I try to make it a layer lower, it acts like everything is one object, and goes straight to the bottom.

I always only use one layer... I never bothered to figure out how to take advantage of multiple layers.

Apparently it helps when you're working off a reference, as you can trace it without moving the reference around. Also, some people make a layer for background, a layer for all the objects, and a layer for lightning effects.

it's funny. every time i see a mistake in those comics, and try to fix it, firefox crashes as i'm reloading it.

well, duh. Because then everybody bugs you to make another one that doesn't show off laziness/irritation (depends on the occasion) to everybody, and that makes you MORE irritated.
