What if...

There was an Elder Evils campaign in which all signs manifested at the same time.

What if...

Only one group had the full knowledge of the significance of these events and was in a position to stop it?

What if...

It was a band of bards, called Dragonforce:
With a Seeker of the Song/Abjurant Champion as the singer.
With a Virtuoso/Sublime Chord as the guitarist.
With a Arcane Duelist/Swiftblade as the drummer.
With a Dracolexi/Sublime Chord as the bass.

And finally, what if...

They were all kobolds?

You lose points for not including Paladin, Paladin variant, or Blackguard levels in Charisma based characters when possible.

But I like your style, good sir.

A-

And I'd totally play in that campaign.

Sounds Epic. If only there was someway to work in a City being taken over by mining Robots. Or would that be too much epic together?

I just vetoed a player's desire to use Disciple of Metal in my potential Expedition to Castle Ravenloft campaign. I shall tell him to join this if he wants to use that class.

It was a band of bards, called Dragonforce:

They can even investigate, moving from town to town, using the excuse of a world tour... :smallcool:

I would totally be down to play that drummer.

Perhaps with the CWar Lightning Maces feat...

You need a second Guitarist and a Keyboardist portable Harpsicordist.

Dragonforce, I believe, was more a kobold reference than a band reference. Still, there are two guitarists (bass can quite easily do standard guitar as well), and the drummer/swiftblade would likely have no problem pounding ivory.

I don't get it.

It's a band of Kobold musicians saving the world from the most ancient evils the world has ever seen, all at once.

There's not much else to get.

If this idea happens...I so want in

Please?

I don't get it.

Imagine rocking out so hard, that your rock literally defeats the deepest darkest things that Asmodeus sees in nightmares.

Imagine doing it with kobolds.

It's the D&D epitome of "I'm in the band"

I've already called in.

I can play pretty much whichever one no one else wishes to, or whip out one of my never-before-seen bard builds.

Only way to improve I can see?

A battle of the bands against the Amazing Joy Buzzards. Or a reasonable simulacrum.

Woot! I've been sigged!

If the final boss fight/fights don't end in a massive, multiway rockoff, I will be very disappointed.

Also, I so want in.

Please, with Sublime Chord, such things take the form of spells cast. Miracle (Rock and Roll Dreams Come True- Meatloaf), Power Word: Kill (Talk Dirty to Me- Poison), Dominate Monster (Walk this Way- Aerosmith), Balor Nimbus (Ring of Fire- Johnny Cash), Irresistable Dance (Big Balls - AC/DC), Disjunction (Paint it Black- The Rolling Stones)

The right songs have power, when played right.

Right, right, stop it. This campaign idea's got silly. Started off with a nice little idea about Elder Evils attacking civilization, but now it's got silly. The sublime chord's hair is too long for a kobold too. These sign of Evil are pretty badly made. Right, now for a complete change of mood.

Dragonforce, I believe, was more a kobold reference than a band reference.Wow, I can't believe I didn't catch this. In that case dragonwraught would actually be good RP :smalleek:

About the 'im with the band' mentality a Dragonfire Adept + Heartfire Fanner could be the pryotechnics/stage manager :)

If you do this, I want that character

Your party is walking down a long and lonesome road, when all of a sudden there shines a shiny demon in the middle of the road. He says, "Play the best song in the world, or I'll eat your soul." Roll initiative.

Win.

And I'm joining the chorus of, "Can I get in on this?! Please?!"

The only way I can see this being better is if they can each summon a giant dragon-mech, all of which combine into a weapon of mass destrawesome, wielding the ultimate axe.

Yes, I know, Threadomancy. But Mr. Roland, this is way too awesome to leave. True rock will never die.

Could their equal-and-opposite anti-party antagonists call themselves Dethklok, who seek to bring about the Metalocalypse?
