Please go here for the OOC thread for the rules: Rotten Tomatoes OOC Thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141004)
----------------------------------------------
Important
This is so important its an announcement, so listen up.

If you or someone you know has a plan to do a character assassination at any point in time, please PM me or otherwise let me know

Please state who you are planning to kill, and what reason.

The process goes like this:

1) You tell me who you want to die and why
2) I deliberate on choices, and say yes/no to the idea
3) Assassination attempt
4) Resolution via private talk with me, you and other party

If you have general plans, that's fine too, but this system goes into effect at the moment that you actually will do your plan in the near future (i.e. next game or this current game vs some time in the future)

You may vet ideas as a group if you decide to scheme together, and there is no previous need to talk to me to scheme (but you do need to let me figure out what happens once you're set to do your plan of action)

Failure to abide by these rules may be something as small as a slap on the wrist OOC and IC, up to and including expulsion from my game.
------------------------------------------------------------
Background:
The kingdom of Herrgoth has had a violent past, in the ages beyond yore. A neighboring empire, consisting of what people called “ratmen” had plagued the young empire for decades. Battles were never-ending, blood spilled into the streets, until King Kandred stepped onto the throne. With a cadre of wizards, fighters, clerics, paladins, favored souls, warforged, rogues, bards, barbarians, raging berserkers, and pixies, the King won the war, leading the kingdom into a golden age. After nearly 400 years, the kingdom was once again assailed by a new threat – corruption. As an empire got larger, so did its politicians grow in corruption. King Kandred the XXX had struggled with this growing corruption, but because of it, had lost his only heir. The line was dead… the throne was at stake… the people fought savagely for it. After a battle known as “The Field of Rotting Tomatoes”, King Tokioh took the throne; a paladin that abhorred all forms of evil. This man started to fight the corruption with an iron fist, and at first, his effort were hailed all across the land… But something changed after the last solar eclipse, roughly 2 years ago…

From the Bard:
“The Kingdom of Rotten Tomatoes… This euphemism might seem strange to you, traveler, but it means so much to the rest of us. You see, in your land, you find peace, prosperity, and justice. But in our land... you'll find more than just that.

Several hundred years ago, the line of kings that had graciously led our kingdom to a victory over the neighboring Ratmen empire. The peace that endured made our land wealthy, lush, and overall quite nice. And so, the kings and their progeny ruled for some time.

But just a few years ago, a new line of kings sat on the throne. When King Kandred XXX left no heir, King Tokioh sat on the throne. King Tokioh was an enigmatic man - a paladin, even. Yes, our country took up a paladin as our king! What a gracious man... so you would think...

But the hearts of men hold dark secrets, and even paladins cannot escape their grasps. King Tokioh took our land and he said he'd wash it away from the stains of past - there was a minor skirmish over the throne, you see. And so he went on his holy crusade....

The only problem was the crusade was against his own people... soon the populace would find relatives missing, fields destroyed, their tomatoes... turned rotten...”

---

The Story so Far:
The players have had quite a time... during their escapades they have fulfilled the following amazing feats:
Got arrested by Herrgoth due to being non-Good
Let insane prisoner's loose from the jail they were taken to.
Escaped said jail, and found themselves at the mercy of a strange creature
Ran into a cave, only to find a ratman who teleported away.
Used the rod of teleport, only to telefrag him.
See what happens when the sands of time decide to say "F- you!" to a town nearby.
See the shimmering wall as it embraces their minds.
Learn of the corruption of the nobility in Herrgoth and their plans to turn everyone into bodaks.
Meet a strange merchant who deals in selling large fruit and start a collection of said fruit.
Trick a town into hanging an undead party member
Go across the sea to relax at a private island.
Make an exchange: Tons of bananas for private island...
Meet an enigmatic sorceress of DOOM
Find allies on the Weapon-making island
Find allies on the Benny Hills Island
Turn into ghouls and gain soap-tails
Explode on top of a cesium boat
Find their old friend the scorpion-bard
Go into the desert on sand-skimmers
Explore and defile an ancient temple and REFUSE ITS POWER BUT WRITE THEIR NAMES INTO THE SEALS (/spin)
Start and expand a cult of Vecna
Discover the meaning behind the temple
Find Allies in the Alliance of the Coastal Stars - First tri-partate alliance versus Herrgoth and its evil menacing ways...
Befriend a killer whale (its Ecco!.... WTF GAME)
Find the country of "everything's made of wood"
Find the country of "everything's made of glass and fish"
Get taken to the edge of Pandemonium and escape by giving it cake (the plane goes "what...")
Choose to go through the door which I had no plot for.
Find the country of "everyone's a dragonborn adept and invisible"
Find the poison of "you turn into plants for the logging business"
Ally with all three strange nations.
Go towards the center of the world.
Talk to the dwarves and ally with them.
Journey to the center, accompanied by a strange tied up halfing-gnome-no-one-knows...

And that is where we are picking up from!
---

The rock around you is smoothened to nearly a shine. It is obvious that the dwarves who built this entrance chamber were highly skilled. As you go forwards, the slight wind in the tunnel seems to waft sulfer and brimstone; definitely unwelcome signs. A contingent of dwarves stands in front of what appears to be a portal, adorned with various dwarven runes. The leader of the dwarves holds up his halberd, making you stop...

For those with dwarven:
The Runes say: Into the Fires of the Earth Beneath Us.

"Halt, ye who go here. I see you have the pass that our great king gave you, but you still can't enter here with that horse and cart. The tunnel be dangerous, and it is unknown what manner of creature ye find ahead. You should prepare yeself for the meanest beasties this side of the Abyss, though if you are lucky, exile, you will find the tunnels that avoid the worse of these."
The dwarf looks upon the Meldshaper as he says his final sentence...

The dwarf steps aside after checking and unreigning your cart, but it is clear that he is willing to listen to any queries that you may have as he waits for your responses.

You feel that the journey will become much more difficult from here on in: you must prepare yourselves before you proceed.

A merchant suddenly walks by the guards, and you recognize him as none-other than Erjad himself. You may be able to trade, buy, and sell your stocks as it is clear he has a lot of goods on him...
---

((OOC: Alright, go ahead and post so that I know who is active and who isn't, and I'll continue the storytelling. Let me know if you are looking at anything in particular, and I'll do my best to stop and give you guys chances to do things, else I'll continue at a decent pace until one of you stops me, or a battle occurs :P Note that this will be how most of the thread will go: Story-telling and exploring, talking and bartering, battling and looting. Storyteller and Storytellers. Feel free to tell me whatever you want to do or say whatever you want to say to NPC's around you, so that you may partake in and create the storytelling as well =) ))

Due to popular demand, here's a recap of the last episode of Dragon Ball Z Rotten Tomatoes
-------------------------
The Party had found themselves in a strange dreamscape - the red sky above and the black sky below offered no reprieve to the dangers they faced: They were falling quite rapidly.

Luckily, with some quick thinking, everyone landed safely on one of the asteroids that were floating about.

You gazed upon the large moon above you. It almost seemed like it was gazing at you, piercing your soul and looking at what your true fears really were...

A doorway appeared, which had inscribed: "Choose your Nightmare". The party, seeing no other choice, went through it.

The chef, having a stroke of genius (or maybe just a stroke), left some cake in offering to the moon in an attempt to thank it. The moon and the plane were extremely confused... Pandora itself seemed to lose sanity as asteroids gathered to the cake as the party closed the doorway behind them...

---

Inside the new room, the party saw three choices before them:
A wooden door, with forest on the other side.
A glass door, with water and fish on the other side.
A ????? door, with ????? on the other side.

It is obvious which one they took...

---

The party appeared on solid ground once again, and could see the hills around them... There were no trees, and most of the ground was barren, without grass... The party were startled to find themselves unable to see each other...

As you gazed upon your hands, you saw that you could not see them... this contradiction in magic was very confusing, but luckily, if you had a way to see invisible, you would have seen the world around you...

Dragons!

Truly the party was in a strange place... The city they had landed in was completely invisible - all they could see were outlines in their magical vision. There appeared to be creatures - dragonborn disciples - flying around, causing will saves around the clock. A specific dragonborn explained that the had been expelled out of the cities fountain, which normally held a vile-smelling though extremely hearty concoction.

---

Seeing no other course of action, the party headed for the castle, finding that a talk with the king was easier to achieve than they previously thought possible. This was most likely due to the prismatic dragon of a king that towered above them. He quickly changed into his human form...

As you gazed upon the king, it was clear that his color shined through even the magic here. This dragon was obviously very powerful and very wise, though quite noncommittal.

The dragon explained that the magical effect was due to a mage being too good at casting invisibility sphere. He explained of the crystal that housed the magic and led the party there. The crystal was old, and had similar runes to the runes in the pyramids that the party had visited a long time ago. The dragon explained that the rampancy was the worst - invisibilit-ing hundreds of miles - 2 years ago on day of the full solar eclipse. The party managed to read the crystals and smear them, and proposed a course of action to the dragon.

The dragon summoned two beholders, and together they nullified the magic around the crystal.

As the beholders appeared, your mind reeled in their many eye stalks. You had heard of these strange creatures only in legend, and they were truly much more terrifying in real life than in the books.

The party suggested that the crystal be broken, and so the dragon put on some adamantine gauntlets, and full-super-power-attacked the crystal. It broke in the null-magic field and the party collected the runes. Upon the breaking, it was clear that the crystal's curse was over - everyone was now visible and visibly happy.

The world swirled into focus: the crystals magic was over, and now you could see the city as it truly was... DRAGONS!

The Dragon agreed to join the alliance, though he wasn't very interested in the foils of men and did not guarantee anything in particular. He did however, give the party several gifts for the dwarven lords as the party had mentioned going to the dwarves and towards the center of the world.

One of those gifts was a pure block of adamantine...

The party left the dragon-city and moved towards the mountains, jumping, gliding, and flying their way up. Quickly, they found themselves inside the cave to the entrance of the cave of the dwarves. The dwarves there recognized the exile... but they still abided by the rules of diplomacy of the ambassadors...

The dwarves. Though they respect the diplomacy of your quest, they still look extremely distrusting of your party member, the one they refer to as "the exile". You've never known Moror to be a dwarf, and so this revelation confuses you.

The dwarves allow entrance, and the dwarven king sees your assembly.

---

In the end, the dwarves did as the dragon: join the alliance, unwillingly, and did not promise overall support. They will most likely not go against their word, however...

As the party gathered to go towards the center of the earth (so they could reappear on the other side), they found themselves accosted by a halfling woman who had wanted to get rid of her daughter (under guise of "traveling with the party to the other side"). She tied her up and handed her over to Lo-Dag the Chef, who saw this as a sign (if somewhat of a perversion of one) that this strange creature would be the one he would have to protect and escort as dictated by his God under guise of atonement (he felt he was too evil). Now this gnome-halfing child is tied up in Lo-Dag's pack, hung over his back like a backpack... It is unknown what role she will purpose for the party...

---

The child is cranky and mad, and tries to bite through the ropes fruitlessly. It is clear she is neither gnome nor halfling, but it is unclear exactly what kind of creature she is...

Now you find yourselves in front of the guards to the tunnels towards the portal to the center of the earth.

In front of you is Erjad, the merchant, who is happy to trade wares and giant fruit.

Beyond him lies the portal and tunnel...

You feel the heat... this will be possibly the most treacherous part of your journey yet...

Why, just for you, I have here a free potato; its yours all for free for being interested in my wares! Belts of Healing, Potions of Remove Disease and/or Remove Curse, A Ring of greater Mage Armor, Another Bag of Holding and/or a Portable Hole

You can find a belt of healing, the potions, and a bag of holding type IV and below. No ring or portable hole though. Normal price for all.

"Why of course good sir. For your Hell Hound I have some meat here... 5 gp for the whole thing!

Party:

As your conversations continue, Lo-Dag notices his gnomish companion stir from her slumber... she starts yelling through her gag, though it is quite clearly muffled. Eventually she manages to rip through it with her surprisingly sharp fangs...

"Miscreants! Rabblerousers! Vile Cretins! How dare you treat me like this! I demand to be released from these chains and this .... backpack.... at once! When I get out of here you are all getting such a foot-stomping...."

As she continues to curse out the rest of you, you notice a sharp sound of footsteps coming down from the hallway behind you. It seems these footsteps drown out the shouting, until finally it is clear that there is no sound coming from the child, even though she is moving her mouth.

Suddenly, you see Jessica, the sorceress from before that almost blasted you in the pyramids... She seems even more beautiful than before, if that were even possible. Her hair is now braided down her back, and she is wearing a skimpy jumper that has left even the dwarves looking at her figure.

"Well well... who do we have here? I wonder what fates brought me to see you all again and again? Hm?"

"And what do we have here, but new faces... They have decided to join your quest have they?"

She walks by your cart and by most of you, stopping by Vasat. It is clear that she is heavily perfumed.

"And you, my precious little dancer. I see that you have been taking care of your tail quite well. How many orphans have you scrubbed with your soap so far?"

Jessica giggles, and then walks up to Erjad.

"My good man, I'm here to buy goods and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of goods."

Jessica entertains the merchant and buys several items, though none is of significant worth except for one: A Giant Apple with an arrow through it. She places it upon her head.

"Well then, I trust you will all be still alive when I meet you again... now then... where did I put that book... *Poof*"

Jessica left, leaving a suddenly quite loud gnomish child, who instantly quiets down once she discovers she can talk again....

"That b****! You are all officially on my stomp list."

---

The guard who was attending to your cart returns, not really noticing that you suddenly have more members to your party.

"Well, you're all set. I recommend going.... soon, as weather conditions are scheduled to get better for a bit and then taper off later in the evening. I pray tell you will find shelter before then."

True to his word, the portal shifts colors ever so slightly, and moves towards the blue end of the spectrum as several dwarven runes change shape above it.

Erjad nods in your parties direction and he closes up shop and wheels it towards the city, obviously going to resupply his wares. He wishes you all a good time and enjoyable weather....

You hear a 'ding' noise as Erjad turns the cavern corner - the portal's runes have changed again, and now they spell out in the common tongue: "Great weather conditions"

Packing up your things and leaving your cart behind, you assemble at the portal's periphery, gazing at its innards. Close to it, you can see very little of the landscape on the other side - something akin to a "buzzing" seems to be blocking your view.

One of the party tests the portal precariously:
You feel your hand slip through, and a heat envelop your hand on the other side. It is obvious that the environment can get much worse if these are considered to be 'good conditions'

Your hand comes back without any extensive effects; the thermostat is set to ~100 F at the moment.

Giving you a solemn nod, the guard pushes you all through.

----

Immediately the heat of the surrounding landscape besets on you. It is not quite overbearing at the moment and the atmosphere does not appear to be on fire.

The second feeling you have is that you are suddenly in a very different place. The cavern here feels, for lack of better description, weird to you. Alien, somehow. Those that binds the souls of other demons (like Paimon) feel definitely closer to their respective binds.... for better or for worse.

The landscape is infernal, similar to what you might expect in a children's story book about the Abyss. However, you can tell that this place is definitely not that place - you are still in piece and not beset by demons, for example.

The third feeling you receive is one of confusion, as you notice that the world has changed its rules on physics. Any movement is beset by a moment of virtigo, though your mind quickly reasserts itself, and all is well again - you can move a second time without quandary.

A cursory check around you ((search/spot)) finds several cracks that seem to emanate heat from magma flows, stalactites that seem to drip molten stone, and a few descriptions left by adventurers that warn you of the silly games of the "imps".

The "buzzing" seemed to be heading from above you, where you can see a hole to the above-ground surface. A giant Black "Sun" blazes from overhead, and if you move up there you see a sandstorm move off in the difference: the source of the buzzing you surmise. The landscape around you is parched, and many bones of many carcasses litter the landscape here: It is clear only the creatures most resistant to heat and radiation care to travel here, as the very atmosphere is being swept away off from the surface into the sun - it is a very beautiful, if not ironically chilling, sight. You feel that while you have not traveled the planescape, you are definitely seeing the inner workings of this magical world.

Back below, the light around you seems to be coming from these stalactites, giving off a dull eerie glow. Those with low light vision see vast strange patterns of dancing lights that seem to rhythmically flow with the passage. No one is in darkness due to the Awesome Torch.

The only path is in front of you (with the portal shimmering behind you), and so you walk on, careful to not step in any of the magma. The temperature, while hot, is not yet unbearable (no con checks / tomato needed yet)

Soon, you find yourself upon a split, and a single sign that seems to hold together even in this blazing heat...

Beware ye, who travel here. Let it be known that the heat here fluctuates, and sometimes it is hotter than it is not. Both of these paths lead to the core, though through different means. Choose the left path if your heart is full of fire, and choose the right if your heart is made of stone.

---

((If this roll is greater than your sanity score [roll0] you gain one sanity damage (max drops by one, though you don't lose any unless you go above the max) otherwise, lose one sanity drain. This is due to your mind reasserting the slightly different rules of this place.))

The left side of Caim's mouth unconsciously stretches and widens as Paimon's influence asserts itself. Caim fights to return it to a normal expression. Eventually, his mouth settles into a slightly twisted grimace. He sighs. (Damn it, I hate this part. Even the vestiges I bound perfectly are starting to infringe upon my mind. Luckily, I'm still covered up by the cloak. On the minus side, it's getting really hot...) He quickens his pace a little, before stopping at the sign. "Well, which way do we go? I vote stone. Lo-Dag will attempt to follow alice in between the two set paths, comfortable that his immunity to fire will help him in this gods forsaken place.

As you walk through the wall, you feel it shift in front of you. The wall shimmers and disappears, the path now visible to everyone. Ahead of you you see that the physiology of the stone changes: the rock to your left seems to be flowing, almost molten, and the rock to the right is dark and much more stable, almost worked.

The path slopes downwards, and you follow it...

((Final vote was 1-3-2 for fire, stone, stupid. Since stupid decided to walk into the wall, those two are gone. I will assume that the rest of the party will follow the chef, let me know if you are rather against it and go some other route))

For those that follow:
The features of the tunnel eventually change, as the tunnel widens. You have the feeling that you are going deeper, towards the core. Eventually, you reach upon a solid opaque door. The substance is unknown to you, but it does not seem to be conducting the heat. It is slightly propped open. Inside you see:

http://piotrkarwowski.home.comcast.net/~piotrkarwowski/Evil%20Game/Map1.png

The creatures inside do not yet seem to be aware of your presence, and you could swear that the sorcelator and huge elemental are drinking tea and reading a newspaper...

For those that dont follow:
You feel that the temperature is slowly increasing. You must choose a route to go down, with or without the rest of the party, lest you find yourself to be overburdened with the heat.
((Please let me know if you don't go and if you stick with your old choice, and I'll write your description in here after this post.))

For those around Vasat, you feel much more comfortable than those who are not. It appears that the air is significantly cooler around him, to the point of the heat being actually bearable and simply warm.

As you peer into the room beyond, you see the elder elemental suddenly peer up, and then disappear in a flash. The Sorcelator looks up from his tea, and then puts it down, placing his fingers in front of him in a Mr-Burns-esque manner. He then too, winks out, together with three of the Succubi. The rest of the room suddenly grows louder, and the Fire Elementals discuss what is going on, and the sole succubus is pouting over her non-winking-out ways...

Tim + mount(Maria):
As you go down the fire-way, you feel the heat grow steadily. It is almost unbearable when in front of you whisks in a Huge Fire Elemental. He blocks most of the passage, and holds out his firey hand.
"Halt, mortal. I have seen you here down in these passages before... What are you doing so far from the dwarven settlement, and why do you seek to journey to the center of the earth... You know the rumors... The path to the center is... how should I say... "hotter" than you mortals can imagine..."

Vasat, Caim, Moror, and Tarence:
As you go down the stone-way, you feel the heat retract into the walls. They seem to almost glow red in some places. Suddenly, a sorcelator winks in ahead of you. It is clear that he does not encompass the entire passage, though his stance tells you that he does not want you to pass.
"Halt, mortals. Why do you travel these tunnels of stone and work? Why do you journey to the center of the earth? Not everyone is simply allowed to walk into the lands of the Devourer..."

You see what appears to be a younger gentleman with dark pupils locked in a cage nearby the sorcelator. For all intents and purposes, it seems like he is simply waiting inside for something to happen...

Tim:

You hold on tight as the space around you warps, and the elemental appears, with you holding onto it and Maria, in another hallway. You see there is a red door ahead of you. The Elemental, sensing that you decided to come with it, bellows: "Open" The door opens, and ahead of you you can see another elemental and what appears to be a large doll... Suddenly, the elemental lurches forward, as though being propelled by a magical force... you find yourself in the room.

Please look into the Lo-Dag / Alice spoiler from now on (map is under that spoiler).

If he does not make the save:

The paralyzed mage seems shocked, but then his eyes calm. A sudden gush of magical energy brings 3 succubi around him, and one of them kisses him, freeing him from his binds. He then points at himself. DC 22 spellcraft Stoneskin. Succubi brought by DC 25 Limited Wish

If he makes the save:

The mage is amused and concerned about the magical energies of your claw. He lets out a shrill yell: "My pets!". 3 Succubi surround him, and they all seem ready to defend the sorcelator to the death. The Sorcelator points at himself and casts... DC 22 spellcraft Stoneskin.

Regardless of the above:
The 3 succubi all smirk at their targets: One at Caim, one at Moror, and one at Vasat.

The one at Vasat realizes who Vasat is, and has a face filled with disgust, and then instead looks at Tarence.

They Suggest for Caim, Moror, and Tarence, to "Come over and kiss me, beautiful." (no save needed unless you really want to, DC 21)

Free Action: Moror begins glowing with a black light. Activate Incarnum Radiance for +6 to melee damage. I'm sharing it. Everyone within 30' of me does +6 on melee damage provided you're part Evil.

Swift Action: Essentia does the Lindy Hop. Result is 4 in Adamant Pauldrons, 3 in Hands of Wrestler, 3 in Girallion Arms, 3 in Incarnate Avatar, and 1 in Keeneye Lenses.

Swift action: Use Quick To Arms to draw Callidus and Deneve.
Full-round action: Charge Succubus #1 (assuming I'm the PC on the bottom, otherwise charge #3). Callidus's Pounce ability grants me a full attack at the end of the charge.

Attack 1 (Deneve): [roll4] for [roll5] slashing and [roll6] acid damage

I'll roll for any other relevant abilities based off of hits/crit threats in the OOC thread and edit results into this post.

EDIT: Things of note: Attacks from Deneve rust metal like a rust monster and reduce damage reduction by 4 per hit. But since it'll still have its DR against my first attack, I probably won't deal 10 damage on the first hit, so I don't get a free trip attempt from the powers of Agares.
