I just preordered Bioshock 2 on steam, and I want to e-raffle my extra copy of Bioshock 1 on here, so I ask, is that allowed?

I did remember this semi-old thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118155&highlight=selling).

It was about selling used books via PM, so is different from your question, but I think the final answer can be applied also to your case (aka I'm sorry for you, but...).

Needless to say, I'm no Mod.

To be fair, he's not trying to sell anything. He's giving something away.

Ask the steam thread if anyone wants it. First one to ask gets it.

Thats what we've done in the past anyhow.

Doesn't bioshock 1 have DRM on it?

You can gift it to anyone

Free is cool, in any context. :smallcool:

Well if it's free I don't see what the problem is. However I doubt there are many people who'd want a copy of Bioshock 1 in this forum.

Well a precedent seems to have been set for it being ok.

Whether this is actually allowed, or Roland just didn't know about it is another matter.

Okay I know for a fact you're just saying that to prove me wrong.

Way to state an opinion.

I for one would enjoy a copy of Bioshock I, but I lack the proper requirements to run it. I'm certain there are many more on this forum who would like the game (even if it's to sell it).

Sheriff of Moddingham: You didn't and it isn't. :smallannoyed:

We don't so much care about Playgrounders giving each other things for free. But we don't really want this to become a site for that kind of thing and making a big deal out of it seems a bit excessive. Plus, there's always the threat of many people raffling off things and then we really have become a different kind of forum.

Mostly though, you shouldn't say you have mod approval when you don't.
