So I'm sitting here at work super bored (even though I have done work today) and no one else is coming in it seems. I'm just overseeing the people here. Cool, I guess.

I went on my old Livejournal account and was reading over some Poetry and Songs I wrote when I was 16 and thought I'd post them and see what people think.

Here goes...

Stone Etchings forming An Affidavit

Goodbyes are overrated
And machine guns hear my prayers
I wish I just could fake it
Not be aware of the shining glare
Then again I hear that voice
My love, I've come for you
Undertones of melancholy melodramatic primadonnas
Masculine inferiority for masochist majority
And forgetting weeping willows
That cover the grave site where ye lay
This Armageddon grants submission
Let's watch the children play in disarray
Some see me as pessimistic
Others know my bitter optimism
All you need to know is that
Helmets were made to restrict your hair from flowing in mid-air
And Steilacoom Boulevard has no idea
what's about to hit it, and nor do I
Imagery is for girls
Real men already know.

Timeless

It was all decided when
I had no clue what life had to offer
So innocent, So miniscule, So gullible, So alive
Frolicking the day away thinking I’d last forever
Time is infinite but I am not

I’m just an obscure chorus from an obscure song
I’m just an obscure voice from an obscure lung
The last time I saw you, you said “I’ll see you later”
But I swear, under your breath I heard goodbye forever

Everybody wants to be noticed but nobody tries
Thinking you can always wait it out
(yeah, you’ll have your chance yet)
Patience is a virtue and a waste of time
Patience is a virtue and a waste of time

I’m just an obscure chorus from an obscure song
I’m just an obscure voice from an obscure lung
The last time I saw you, you said “I’ll see you later”
But I swear, under your breath I heard goodbye forever

Now is better than never
And now doesn’t mean whenever
Now is better than never
And now doesn’t mean whenever
I never know if I’ll have another chance

I’m just an obscure chorus from an obscure song
I’m just an obscure voice from an obscure lung
The last time I saw you, you said “I’ll see you later”
But I swear, under your breath I heard goodbye forever

I’m just an obscure life that soon will be long gone

I want to stand the test of time
All I want to do is live life chasing my dreams
Chase your dreams

Try and tell me one thing that’s better than this
Tell me one thing that’s better than this
That’s better than this
Better than this
This

The Diary of Madge Oberholzer

It's 10 pm, well into darkness
The sun set on my daily practice
As soon as I can get out of this place
I'll settle down, with oh so good taste

*Barber Shops and fast food places
*Auto Shops and routine faces
*I'll bite my tongue, forgive our fathers
*We're getting by, the best way we know how

A life in dept, trapped in
a studio apartment
A mother wept, she wished that
you'd be better off than this
I will regret, one night stands
and a cavalier flashback on my youth
So the story goes, I died for
you on the cross
I bring you faith, when you can't even
trust the ones you love the most

*Broken backs, and lotto tickets
*Garage sales, and New York Yankees
*I have a feeling that this will not last
*We're getting by, the best way we know how

City lights, and downtown theatres
Pharmacies and compact parking spaces
An open bathroom door, I kissed that whore
It's almost four, and my back is, oh so sore
But tomorrow doesn't wait, and
brick walls will not break
Street signs are my smartest friends
And over the hill is 25, it's great

*Nicotine, and fancy purses
*Weathermen, and scenic golf courses
*The world will end, and we both know it
*We're getting by, the best way we know how

So yeah, if for some reason you want some more (I have a lot) poems or songs from my past or recently written....let me know.
