One thing that's been bugging a lot of guys in my group for a while now is the fact that archers in Warhammer Fantasy seem to be direct-fire, line-of-sight combatants. I whipped up the following option, and would like opinions on it:

By taking a -1 penalty to the BS check in addition to any other modifiers they might have, a unit/character armed with a bow may choose to ignore intervening units and terrain (though forests, mountains, and other such large terrain will still block, discuss with your buddies beforehand) in the same way as a stone-thrower. The player must guess the range, within the range of the bows, and he places a template at the point of impact. The small template is used for 1-5 attacks, while the large template is used for 6 or more attacks. Shooting attacks are resolved normally against units within the template (if one or more units are within the template, divide the attacks up proportionate to their respective sizes).
