There's a fair amount of feemales, as far as I've seen.

People just tend to assume they're male, either 'cause a) they don't look at the little gender thing or b) the person doesn't put the little gender thing on.

I for one welcome our genderbent overlords

"puts up a LGBT sign"

I started hanging out in the friendly banter and media forums during a GB week (07 or 08, not sure I think someone was getting married), so yeah, confusion was pretty constant for a while. And, I'm gonna go on a limb here, but I'd say that the male-centricness of the rpg forums is mostly due to

a: Total population (as in, world total)
b: The fact that the forum is about 3/4 mechanics to 1/4 rp, and from what little I know about female roleplayers (I've met a few in the flesh actually) they tend to prefer rp over mechanics and optimisation.

Welcome to life on this forum. Half the time I don't even look anymore. The understanding that there might be white text is like IRL, when someone has a really good deadpan but you've known them for years so you can sense the sarcasm.

I was soooo confused at first, especially since some people left their GB avvies up longer... :smallsigh::smallamused:

*really wishes we could settle on a non-insulting gender neutral singular pronoun, because we never really know, and at a certain point of egalitarianism, it shouldn't matter in most cases on a forum anyway*

And I notice that a lot of people join around that time of year. I wonder why?...

It's cold and depressing outside?*

*Yes, I know not everyone lives in the Northern Hemisphere, before our fine Aussies jump on me. However, a majority of the world's people (especially the internet users) live in the Northern Hemisphere, where the majority of the land is as well. And where it's cold and depressing right now.

8Yes, I know not everyone lives in the Northern Hemisphere, before our fine Aussies jump on me. However, a majority of the world's people (especially the internet users) live in the Northern Hemisphere, where the majority of the land is as well. And where it's cold and depressing right now.Actually, I think most people live in tropical or sub-tropical areas. India, Indonesia and Mexico are at least the most densly populated places, aren't they? And they're all pretty warm all year round, aren't they?
:smalltongue:

This song sounds awesome, in a terrible kind of way.Eh, except for that it's just amateaur (HOW DO YOU SPELL THAT?!) Aussie hip-hop. I'll see if I can find it for you, though.

You... might want to go over that logic again in your head.

Nah, see, bra, it's so that the vehicles don't get jealous of human women getting attention due to having primary and secondary sex characteristics.

:smalltongue:

No! Because Europe! And, and China!

Seriously, like I said, interwebs access is much more popular in places like Europe (gets really cold, even the warm parts get rainy and dark, ya?), North America, and Japan. Add in that these are the places where people are most likely to speak English (Australia again excepted :smalltongue:), and, uh, yeah. I WIN!

I mainly just felt the need to justify my argument more, did not mean to be arguing in a serious manner with you. Thread is way not serious enough for that.

I now return to our regularly scheduled silliness. Ni!

I think that being a member of the RHPS cast for a few years more or less demolishes any chance of sexual insecurity. I'll admit I was, once upon a time. But by the 5th time or so that you chase a man in tight gold underwear around a stage making kissing noises, it fades.

On another note, I was going to take part in GB week, but considering I haven't even got my OotS style avatar yet, the odds of getting a bent version of it would be both too late and kind of pointless.

I've had several dreams about the playground. Is this good or bad?

also no you're not the only girl on the playground. I'm not saying which I am though.:smalltongue:

I'm a level 300 Sorceror Paladin Warlock. Bahamut allowed an exception to the "Lawful good only"

Also, you were wearing a bunnygirl outfit. @_@ And melting between a redheaded woman with her skin dyed green-blue and a giant version of your avatar in a bunnygirl outfit as if the world of the gitp forums was reals.

Something about either eating your user or becoming free of the tyranny of the person behind the computer or something.

In hindsight, I'm not entirely clear on why I thought making a non-euclidean geometry "joke" was a good idea. :smallconfused: See, in standard - which is to say, Euclidean - geometry it is impossible to have two distinct, intersecting lines both parallel to a single third line. Therefore, by claiming that I'm going to do so, I'm saying I'm Californian, i.e., non-Euclidean.

Some of us got it!

I got a map when I joined. It was this big wrinkled peice of paper with "Here be Dragons" scribbled in the middle.

It wasn't lying.

And he was one of the lucky ones!

But humanity isn't made up of ameobas! Humans are eukariotic!

Amoebas are eukaryotes. But they're not female.

The ayes have it. Californians are now and forever Non-Euclidean Americans.

Pyrian, math jokes are never funny. You should've known better than to try one. For shame.

They are funny. Just because you're insufficiently educated to understand them...

What Pyrian said, however, wasn't really a joke, it just referenced a mathematical concept.

And how do you know how much education I have, eh? For the record, I got it... after running through the process of figuring out how two convergent lines could be parallel to something (not, unless they're on parallel planes). Math jokes are still never funny.

Maths jokes are funny if you have sufficient understanding of the maths involved. You don't find them funny => you're understanding is insufficient => you haven't been taught enough maths to find them funny.
Also, I reiterate, what Pyrian said was not really a joke.
