Die roller troubles.

I was wondering if someone could tell me the formula for making rolls on the rp section. I haven't had much luck so far:smallredface:

Quite a few people find it weird but mostly it's just a case of typing in a normal bit of dice notation and sandwiching it between and tags.

For example, this would be a roll of 3d6 if it was actually in the right part of the forum:

3d6

This would be a roll of d20+7:

d20+7

If you want to pick out the best few results from several dice and add them together, then you can add a 'b' on the end as well as the number of dice you want to keep:

4d6b3 would roll 4d6, pick out the three highest scores, and add those together.

If you want to see the individual dice rolls, you can use and tags.

This would be a roll of 7d10, showing each of the individual scores:

7d10

You can also give dice rolls a name, using or [rollv=name]

For example, [roll=Attack Roll]d20+12


The dice roller never works if you try to preview your post.
