I forgot that rolls don't work on the first post.

Did you notice the comments that I stated in the waiting room thread? The glass area is easiest for it allows LoS at the start. The only time LoS checks are needed is when there are 2 or more panes of glass seperating us.

I have almost all the books, so if the is anything that you would like to know, just ask.
You may also wish to spoiler the map for ease of viewing.

OK, one (and only one) purchase...the spell component pouch. My spellbook is in the back somewhere.

As for my other choices...well, you'll see why they don't really matter. :smallwink:

Start at B13, Move to D6 and Ready an action:

Cast Enlarge Person on myself if he takes an action within LoS.

Ok then,
Veldrin,R-1
Start in Y-13, with masterwork short sword equipped.
Swift action - Enter child of shadow stance (I gain concealment and you have 20% miss chance.)
Free action - Designate you as my chosen foe.
Double move to U-3.

End turn

Standard: Cast Enlarge Person.
Move to I2/J3.

End.

Standard: Cast Enlarge Person.
Move to I2/J3.

End.

If you had a readied action, that involved anything that I did to triger it, then it goes off and you have a complete round to use. However, it switches the Ini order so you would go after me.

So is it my turn?

term1nally s1ck

It wasn't triggered. Either way:

[QUOTE=SRD]If the triggered action is part of another character’s activities, you interrupt the other character. Assuming he is still capable of doing so, he continues his actions once you complete your readied action. Your initiative result changes. For the rest of the encounter, your initiative result is the count on which you took the readied action, and you act immediately ahead of the character whose action triggered your readied action.[QUOTE]

That was my turn on Init count 25, and it's now your move.

Ok, here we go: Also the key to Veldrin's build is to attempt to keep from getting hit.

Veldrin,R-2:
Continue to designate you as my CHosen Foe - free.
Activate Gift of the Spider Queen Feat: sacrificing daily use of Faerie Fire and Dancing lights to cast Mirror Image - swift/Interrupt
I gain 1d4 images: [roll0]
Double move to J-1.

End turn.

Are all your images in the same square or thereabouts?

EDIT: Doesn't affect my turn, so:

5' step to J3/K4.

Ready an action:

Blink 10' above him if he takes a standard or full-round action within 10' of me.

Readied action triggered.

You see me disappear from your sight as you attack. You look around, when suddenly a heavy object falls on you. It's me. (Teleport to your square, 10' above you (+15'))

You take damage of [roll0]
I take falling damage of [roll1].

If you're still alive, I can Abrupt Jaunt as an immediate action, and do it again...

Do I get a save against that? What about miss chance for concealment and the extra images?

term1nally s1ck
2010-02-19, 04:49 PM
Your actions are completely taken up, actually, so I *will* do it again, on my turn, as my standard action.

EDIT: Here's the rules of falling objects...:

You should rename this character to The Fat Chocobo!

We've had this discussion a couple times in the waiting room, but I don't think we ever came to a satisfactory conclusion on how the falling object rules would work when involving falling characters.

RandomAction

I still say rename, but with the damage you did to yourself, another match could come to a bleed off.

I have rageclaws, I did 40+ damage to you, and still have another 4 HP left before I'd die, and my damage rolls were quite high.

On the debate, the only mention ever made of a save is for catapults, and traps. Any other mention of falling rocks is just straight damage.

One Precedent example. Others with different rullings also exist. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88539&page=5)

Sometimes the ruling has been reflex save. Other times the ruling has been that the falling character treats them self as an improvised weapon making a touch attack. We have yet to come to reach a final conclusive ruling, but to the best of my knowledge we have never permitted falling to be a no-save insta-hit.

I think Sallera's ruling is best. A character is not an object, so by RAW, does no damage when falling.
