The air surrounding you fairly hums with the residue of magic, an aftereffect of the spell that brought you to this place. A quick glance reveals that you are in a small room, devoid of any life save for yourself. The sound of dripping water can be heard faintly, and the stone walls are slick with moisture. In complete defiance of logic, a torch is already lit, resting in a sconce near the room's single door.

Dang it. Ok, I put away my weapons and take out my 10-ft pole. I walk over and poke the door a couple of times. Does anything happen?

EDIT: does the door have a lock on it?

The door is a large sheet of lead, weighted to slide easily. It slides into the wall, as far as you can tell. It is not locked.

You don't know what that roll was for....

I slightly open the door, walk back 5 feet, and open it the rest of the way with the pole.

Nothing happens as you open that door. The light from the torch doesn't spill far into the corridor though, and there are no sources of light in view. You can see about 5' to the East and South, and the corridors seem to go on for a fair distance.

And no, I was telling you that you don't know what that roll was for. Not IC, and I'm not telling you OOC. :smalltongue:

Yep.

Outside the door, you can see a hallway extending 80' to the East, and a hallway to the south extending 30'.

To the East you see:
A North/South split after 10', a door on the North wall after 30', and a North/South split 60' away, and at the furthest reaches of the light, 80' away, there's a turn to the South, and a door on the Eastern wall.

To the South you see: A split to the East after 20', and a T-junction East/West at the end for the corridor, 30' away.

I move to the east, to the first split, and look down the north nd south pasages. What do I see there?

At the junction you can see:

To the North:
20' corridor ending in a turn to the east.

To the South:
20 foot corridor ending in a turn to the west, with a door on the eastern wall 15' in.

Yay. I back up 20 ft, then attempt to jump across the pit. I can take 10 on that, right? So I succeed in jumping it. Then I proceed to walk down the corridor.

At the end you look to the west and see a 10' corridor, with a North/South T junction at the end.
