The air surrounding you fairly hums with the residue of magic, an aftereffect of the spell that brought you to this place. A quick glance reveals that you are in a small room, devoid of any life save for yourself. The sound of dripping water can be heard faintly, and the stone walls are slick with moisture. In complete defiance of logic, a torch is already lit, resting in a sconce near the room's single door.

I pull out my Everburning torch, who needs normal torches? PEH!!

I approuch the door, open it, pull out my 10 foot pole, an (if it is a corridor) walk down the corridor, poking every tile that I am about to step on. I stop at the 1st intersection.

You open the door. Outside the door, you can see a hallway extending further than your light reaches to the East, and a hallway to the south extending 30'.

To the East you see:
A North/South split after 10', and a door on the North wall after 30'.

To the South you see: A split to the East after 20', and a T East/West at the end for the corridor, 30' away.

I head south, prodding the floor in front of me with my 10'' pole, stoping and looking down the split that leads east. If it is another empty corridor, I keep prodding and walking untill I reach a door or intersection.

The split to the east is a 10' corridor that turns north after only 10'.

Technically they just impose the normal -5 penalty (-2 with a listening cone, I believe.)

There is a human wearing a chain shirt and holding a longsword standing behind a beast with patchy dark fur that covers its unhealthy shrunken black skin in some places. Open sores dot its hide and a feral, catlike head glances with it's blank eyes at the wall in front of it.

They know you're there, and the beast vanishes as a wave of color washes over you. Make a will save.

To your north, the corridor goes on 35' before turning east. You see the junction with the corridor you saw earlier (east from your starting room) before that.

To the south, the corridor goes 5' before turning west..but you already knew that.

Well, at the end of the corridor, you look north and see a 20' corridor, which turns east at the end.

There's also an east/west split 10' in. You suspect this was the same split you saw at the start down the eastern corridor.

5' from you, there's a large blue notecard hanging from the wall.

Ok then....I place all my stuff at the foot of the chest (Inside), including armour, and try to go to sleep inside. I tell my wolf to stand guard outside, and keep my swords closeby.

I try to stay inside for 24ish hours (I have food/water) To get rid of the metal armour poisoning.

I'm gonna rule that it takes at least a move action to open the chest from the inside, so you can't full attack. Thankfully for you, the first attack is a hit...but I'm gonna make you keep that second roll for your full attack next turn.

Yes I do go back to sleep, but I do some stuff 1st:

I rub my soap of the ground infront of the two doors, enough so that it`s slippery. I then tie a rope in front of the door. If this works, it`ll trip people when they try to enter. Chance of a concusion, or at least waking me up.

You hear scrabbling, and then the chest is wrenched open.

The reason you didn't hear your traps go off was that the creature in question was already inside. On the bright side, the wolf is back on his feet. On the not-so-bright side, his eyes remain glassily dead, and he smells...funny...

Oh, and he definitely wants to eat you.
