Formatting my hard-drive and re-installing XP! 'Twas a hard battle indeed, forcing my computer to boot from CD, then to recognize my hard drive, not to mention driver installation, copying saved files back onto disk, dowloading and installing essential programs...

But after 13 gruelling hours, my desktop is back in prime condition! Booting at lightning speeds! Gigabytes of free memory! Firefox, open in seconds! I feel like it could open a thousand browser tabs!

So, what did you do recently that just felt sooo good?

Meditating. I found some really relaxing classical music on the radio a few days ago, and I parked my car, closed my eyes and just let everything wash away for a few minutes. Afterwards I felt utterly reinvigorated.

WoWing it up for seven hours non-stop and FINALLY killing Arra'Chea. Stupid Kodo, running all over the Golden Plains and being all Kodoish...

Also, at long last, discovering that Jean-Claude Van Damme is going to be in another movie. I have sorely needed a new infusion of my kick-ass Belgian man.

And this one is entirely unrelated to the other two, but it still stands...I got an A on my first Humanities exam!

Holding a friend close, feeling their heart beat, feeling the race of their pulse, the rush of their blood, and the soft susurrus of their nervous system, and feeling it slow and stop.

Don't look at me like that, I decided the moment was too good to end too soon, so I used a meditative technique to slow my perception of time.

I lik cudlz. Alot. Nobody cudlz wit mi. :smallfrown:*

You'd think more Non-euclidean americans would be okay with truly non-euclidean americans.

I don't even see deep sea fisherman, I get to see my handlers. Not always daily, but most days, for at least a couple hours. And every few weeks I get to take a trip to visit friends.

Curling up in my bed as if I had cuddles.

Funny. That is why I stopped using pillows, and unless it's extremely cold sheets. Living a lie is such a depressing thing when reality hits.

I felt good when I saw my actual chances of getting accepted to a certain school, as well as the probably financial aid package, when the factors concerning me as a person were added in, rising from 5% and 50k/yr to 40% or higher and 0k/yr.

My wife and I joined a Saturday morning circuit training class. First session consisted of four circuits, each of which included running up and down three flights of stairs three times! The burning ache feels sooooo good! It's nice to feel some of the winter slack frying away!

I'd find it hard to sleep without a pillow to hug these days. =/ I think I'll take my depression elsewhere, this thread is hardly a good place for it.

Wow, VT, excellent pics. I wish I had somewhere around where I live that I could climb up that high and get such a good view of everything. Alas, I am left with nothing but vague memories.

Anyway, back on topic. I'd like to second both Jazz and singing as things that will usually make me feel good.

I get an extraordinary amount of huggles. I kinda scared some of my old friends a while ago by hugging them all too much. I'm spoiled rotten for hugs.

I feed the pigeons (sometimes I feed the sparrows too), it gives me an extraordinary sense of well-being. (Park life!)

Also, helping friends help other friends cope with depression. Hearing people call me a good person. Honestly, I don't know whether GF knows what she's doing, but every time she calls me a good person, it is EXACTLY what I need to be told at that moment.
