Treankmonk's guide is quite good. It's here (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19873034/Treantmonks_guide_to_Wizards:_Being_a_God).

TLN's batman guide is good, too, although I'm not sure where that's at. Ah, ^ it is.

Figures I'd be ninja'd by an actual ninja, too.

The same thing in a different format (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=394.0)

Treeantmonk's (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19873034/Treantmonks_guide_to_Wizards:_Being_a_God) is a great guide to Spells, according to School.
Dictum Mortuum's (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19869222/The_Wizards_Handbook) is fantastic as far as feats and items are concerned.
The Logic Ninja's (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104002) is probably the best play guide for new players. It's pretty out of date by now.

(The 1st and 3rd have been linked already, but whatever.)

Complete Arcane???

Oddly enough, Wizards have no idea how to play Wizards.

TLN has a PrC section in his guide. I want to say so does treant, but it is blocked at work.

Anyway Archmage, initiate of the seven fold veil, and basically any class that doesn't lose full casting is worth it. Guild mage is fun, IMO.

Master Specialist and Archmage are safe choices for a focused wizard. Malconvoker is a great summoner for that Conjurer build.

Ok so how would this build look to you guys. It goes to 30 and you only loose one CL that can easily be made up.

Fire Elf (Dragonborn of bahamut after elf paragon levels)

Wizard 3 (abjuration Specialist)/ Master Specialist 3/ Abjurer 3/ Io7v 7/ Archmage 5

Feats:
1: Spell Focus (abjuration)
3: Cloudy Conjuration (for battlefield control)
BF: Skill Focus (Spellcraft)
BF: Greater Spell Focus (abjuration)
6: Spell Focus (Conjuration)

Any idea for feats for this build? Also what abilities other than Arcane Reach and Mastery of Shaping do you recommend?

the idea is to get the extra spells from being specialized. The only reason for Master Specialist is to get the bonus feats and his primary defense is the Io7v so please don't get rid of the PrC. He wants the versatility of of abjuration/conjuration/transmutation. I have no idea why divination is good so he banned Nercomancy and Evocation.

I'd shift it around a little more and go with either:

Abjurer5/MS4/Iot7V7/AM5
or
Abjurer3/MS7/Iot7V7/AM4
or
Abjurer3/MS6/Iot7V7/MS+4/AM1

Very similar to what you posted, but with different break points. The first build picks up the 5th level Wizard bonus feat, along with Minor School Esoterica, which becomes for this character a +2 competance bonus on dispel checks. Since this isn't a CL bonus, its not capped by the +10 like any other CL boost would be.

The 2nd build picks up Moderate School Esoterica, which is essentially Evasion + Mettle for X rounds after casting an Abjuration.

The 3rd build maxes out MS. The Major Esoterica is considered one of the best of any school. The ability to put your personal buffs (especially AMF) on other people is pretty significant. You only get one AM ability, which should probably be Master of Shaping, but MS10 is REALLY strong.

As far as AM, its really good to have Master of Shaping. Master of Counterspelling would be pretty good if you used a lot of free action counterspells like Rings of Greater Counterspelling and the Battlemagic Perception spell (Heroes of Battle), but otherwise not. Master of Elements is solid, as sometimes blasting IS a decent option, and its worthwhile to be able to match up elements with vulnerabilities from a single damage spell.

Ok I think i will take a look at these and see what he thinks.
