The Inauguration of the New Death [Acro Plot, Private]

Assuming they went through the portals...
Ari, Esande, Nerine, and Genkai will find themselves in a large, dark amphitheater.
So will Brigitte, Elodie, and Tsuna.
They have a great view of the stage from their seats.
Nerine and Gen are seated together. Ari, Esande, and Bri are each a bit separate.
Elo and Tsuna are seated together too.

There are other entities around.
On the stage, there is a podium. Nothing else.

[Viera Champion]

Esande steps through the portal, and takes her seat.

I'm just waiting for Moofin to post for Nerine before I do anything with Genkai.

[Moofin Bard]

Err...this is tough since I have four characters here. All who have done it with Carrie which makes this even more awkward.

Ari sits way in the back.

Elodie stands in the shadows.

Nerine boldly chooses to sit in front.

[Beans]

Lights come on, shining on le stage.
A tall, well-dressed skeleton walks up to the podium.
"Greetings to you all, both my fellow members of The Cycle... and others, our distinguished guests.
We have asked you all here today to witness an inauguration.
The Inauguration... of the New Death."

[Quinsar]

Riara and Erica appear here, both in very nice clothing. Riara is in a bluish purple suit, his cat boy tail sways as he sits.
Erica is wearing a dress, in human form. She sits next to Riara.

[Viera Champion]

Genkai sits down next to Nerine nervously. She is practically shaking.

[Beans]

"And now, here she is... Carrion, the soon-to-be New Death."
Carrie fades in; she wears black jeans and a black tank top.
No fanciness.
She steps up to the podium.
"Place your hand on the Tome of Names.
Do you, Carrion Janet Kaworu, swear to do your duty as New Death? To send souls to their afterlives? To uphold the justice of death?"
There's a silence.

[Viera Champion]

Genkai grips her seat as she sees Carrie. It takes all her willpower to not run up there and either beat Carrie up, or kiss her.

[Quinsar]

The two deities quietly watch.

[Beans]

I...
Do.
"Then, by the authority of the Cycle itself... I declare you... Carrion, the New Death Inaugurated!"
There is a quiet rustle of power.
Nothing fancy.
A glint at Carrie's heels.
"Now, Carrie, is there anything you would like to say?"
There is. Carrie's voice is almost devoid of emotion.
First of all... I'd like to thank people.
I'd like to thank Erica and Riara for killing the previous Death goddess and making this all possible.
I'd... I'd like to thank Ari. For saving me first from others and then, time and time again, from myself.
A-and... and I'd like to thank Genkai. Gen... I'm sorry for... everything.

[Moofin Bard]

Ari shrinks in her seat.
Bri does nothing.
Elodie fumes in the shadows.
Nerine holds Genkai's wrist firmly.

[Viera Champion]

Genkai knows she probably shouldn't say anything, but she does. A tear forms in her eye, as Nerine grips her wrist.
I-it's ok. Just don't do it again...

[Beans]

Tsuna glances at Elodie.
I also want to thank Elodie and Tsuna.

... And... there's more.
I want to thank everyone who helped break me down into the wreck of a girl you see today.

She gradually gets harsher and crazier sounding.

Hearing all this, Genkai begins to cry.

[Moofin Bard]

Ari gapes.
Bri winces and slides into her seat.
Elodie glares from the shadows.
Nerine holds Genkai, comforting her and holding her down.

[Beans]

Genkai is crying.
You made Genkai cry. No, you did, Carrie. But ah, the joys of crazy.
Come up here.
Get on the stage, you two.
Don't be shy. I just want to show my gratitude.
She means Elodie and Tsuna.

[Moofin Bard]

The latter.
Elodie transports onto the stage and smirks.
You did this to yourself you know.

[Beans]

Tsuna is with Elodie...

And Carrie begins to laugh. It's... like laughter and sobbing had a baby together. And the baby grew up in a broken home.
It's not a happy sound.
You have no idea... Her eyes begin to glow and the spurs on her heels gleam.
Her scars glow like embers. Her hair shines sleekly black.
Oh bugger.
No idea at all how screwed... you... are.
She smiles with glowing teeth.
Whose fault is this again, snookums?

Tsuna swallows hard.

[Moofin Bard]

Elodie poofs right next to Carrie.
It's all yours.
It's your fault Bri doesn't love you.
It's your fault you hurt Ari.
It's your fault I slept with Tsuna.
It's your fault you killed yourself.
And most importantly, it's your fault Gen cries.
Also, it wasn't her you slept with, it was me.
Then she poofs back, grabs Tsuna, and disappears.

[Beans]

Carrie's goddess aura fades.
She looks at Gen, bewildered and terrified of herself.
... G...
G-Gen?

Oops, I didn't even mean to delete the last post, my brother did it when I wasn't looking. >:(

Just stop Carrie. You're scaring me.

[Beans]

Carrie shakily sits down on the edge of the stage.
I...
D-do you... forgive me?

Gen nods shakily.
D-do you forgive me though?

[Beans]

Y-yes.
And she gets off the stage... and practically falls into Gen's arms, crying.

[Viera Champion]

Gen hugs her back. She is also crying.
I s-still love you, and I s-still want to b-be with you.

[Beans]

Carrie is almost totally incoherent in her sobbing, but gets out a clear "I love you".

Please don't leave me again...

Carrie finally stops sobbing.
