Okay. My friend wants to know something about DDI. With the Dragon/dungeon magazines do you get every one ever or just the 4th edition ones?

Every one since 4e came out. So... Just the 4e ones.

Weren't the older ones actually physical?

yeah, but getting all of those in dead tree format would be a pain.
