If I were to combine this with a spell that hits a target multiple times (like magic missile) does its effect stack? would the five magic missiles bestow one negative level each tot eh target?

No. It gives 1 negative level to any creature the spell damages. It doesn't matter how many times the spell damages the creature. You do inflict a negative level on each creature you hit, though.

The follow up, of course, is "how does that work with things that hit people multiple times over multiple rounds" - such as, say, Flaming Sphere, Produce Flame, or similar (oh, hey - Druids can now cast actual negative levels at the cost of a feat, rather than just pseudo negative levels with Quill Blast - coolness).

It's still from the same casting of the spell, so IMO only that first initial damage gets the Fell Drain applied.
