So, I'd like to see some posts (my posts, if you're curious) that are rather old. I'm having trouble going about finding them. Specifically, the forum search only displays 500 posts, and I'd like to see some of the ones I made before the most recent 500. Could someone explain this process to me? It's quite possible I'll totally facepalm in the morning when I realize how simple it is, but for now...

Help please?

You could try googling "site:www.giantitp.com/forums skywalker" but that would give you all the times people mentioned the word skywalker, too.

Click on Search, then Advanced Search. Put your username in the Search By Username box. Under the Search Options, click on the Find Posts From dropdown list and choose a suitable time frame (up to a year). In the next drop down box, choose And Older. You're still limited to 500 results, but you can sort of guide the search that way.

What Zeb said.

To get the perfect time frame for posts 501-1000, you can bring up the 500 most recent and look at the date on the oldest one. Of course, then you’ll have to wait a few minutes for your search privilege to reset.

The wait time for search is down to 30 seconds again, so yay.

Damn. I thought it was still three minutes.

Well, goody-goody-good-good!

I approve of this. Spelling mistakes used to scare the hell out of me just because I couldn't be bothered to wait again.
