I'm afraid this is just the sort of thread that the rules are meant to prevent. To give a quick hopefully rules-friendly tidbit of my views on the matter, though: if athiests can get (presumably areligiously) married, there is no good reason why homosexuals can't.
And yeah, self-righteousness (vegetarian or otherwise) is excruciating.

Well, we've had several threads regarding Vegetarianism and veganism, and we already have one regarding homosexuality (along with bisexuality and transgenderism). As for religion and politics, yeah I don't think that's aloud here. :/

You were offering to pay for that insertion, yes? . . .I accept book credit on amazon.co.uk, gift certificates to any fabric retailer with European shipping, or chocolate (physical or gift certificate).

Yes, I realise this is a somewhat controversial title, and no, I don't plan to get in depth with the more controversial topics at all, so please don't close this.I'm afraid that the depths to which you intend to plumb these topics is irrelevant. There is no "acceptable limit" to discussion of politics or religion.

I take your double-facepalm and raise you one..

As said before, these discussions almost never end well and otherwise end in both parties at an impasse and each other's throats. THAT'S the kind of thing we're trying to avoid with the "No discussion of X" rules.

Oh. Well, nutbunnies. This is what I get for randomly clearing my head at 10:30 pm after a long day at work. Bleah:smallyuk:

err... it seems to me that you're the first entering deeply in such arguments. :smallconfused:
Anyway, you know that all these arguments are, more or less, off limits. Did you (at least) ask a MOd about this? from the opening of your post, it seems not.

There's a facebook group about this, which I think would welcome your discussion. Just sayin'.
