You come to in the following room:

http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/5165/room1q.th.jpg (http://img130.imageshack.us/my.php?image=room1q.jpg)

There are 2 doors, north and south. There are vending machines in the room, with a notice that you can use these precisely once. (once as is, a single using session, not a single use total)

Can i wait with using it? As i just did my shopping.

Ok, assuming this floor is anything like the previous,

Hallways

If there are corners or choices of direction to go, always follow the left handside wall.

In said hallways Mr.Wrinkly will take point, (My Incarnum Zombie) (Dr 5/Magic and Slashing, Undead immunities.)
Me following aproxx 15ft behind, and polly (My Soulspark) in the same square as me.

My Essentia in DR 6/Magic, And Energy resistance 6. and N.Ac +3.
Hitting Air while Moving foreward slowly, fighting Defensively AC = 26.
Aura Set to Fast Healing:1.

Ill always open any plain basic doors* using my Hence forth Standard Door opening method**.
(*If said doors look odd for any reason please do notify me, as i might wanna change my mind)

**Door openery Method

Grim* Drops his (for now empty) loot bag, draws a javlin aura set to Acid Shield, Essentia to Polly +1Hit&Dmg, Flaming Mantle +1d6 and opens the door.
(*Grim is my Character)

Polly* Taking a Ready Action to Zap anything That'd come close to grim. (5ft around him, Polly is always in the Same Square as grim)
(*Polly is my soulspark)

And Mr.Wrinkly* Taking a ready action to charge/move towards any hostile's (closest if there is choice) in the room And attack it.
(*Mr. Wrinkly Is My Incarnum Zombie)

If the Shopping can be saved till later date,
Ill start From the North door and open it*
(*as per standard door openery method previously mentioned )

I will probably save that because this floor is nothing like the previous one..

The north door reveals a dimly lit corridor flooded with murky water, running to the east and west. To the east, it runs for thirty-five feet before turning south. To the west, it runs for thirty feet before turning south.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-10, 01:09 PM
not? But but.. aaww,

Ok, Grim will grab his 10ft pole and'll try and see if he can determine how deep it is in said water, From the door opening.

If he cant reach ground/the floor with his pole, or if its higher then waist deep, i suppose, we'll open the southern door.

If he can, and its not waist deep, ill step in, Following the hallway Left as previously mentioned.

Sliver
2010-03-10, 01:13 PM
No ground. You note that there is no descend, just it goes straight down clifflike.

The south door reveals a 15-foot wide corridor, flooded with murky water. It runs south for fifty feet before ending in a sandy beach that continues for another thirty feet, ending in a door. 15ft down the hall there is a 15ft wide corridor splitting towards the east.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-10, 01:21 PM
Aww, More water?.. I dont like this dungeon, Grim aint used to swimming.

I assume its again clifflike,
nonetheless

Check again as previous,
If waist deep step in,
If not wel...

Suppose ill have no other choice,
as there arent any other doors left,

Grim wanders to the coast line,
Essentia hallway stance (Very Defensively), But with Aura set to Acid instead.

And bravely...

Orders Mr.Wrinkly To jump in and check the water for anything hostile or traplike, and if anything hostile, kill it!

Sliver
2010-03-10, 01:30 PM
How far do you order it to go? Check all the water area?

I'm not that good with incarnum, do you have a way to get information from Wrinkly? If so, it tells you that vision is limited to 5ft and even at that distance it is hard to see well.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-10, 01:51 PM
I can detect its presence if its up to and including 30ft away from me.
And have complete mental control over it as long as it remains in that line of effect.
(And Control is immidiatly re-established if it gets back in that range again)

If it goes beyond that range it can and will communicate in Common if at all possible and tries to relay information that way as he goes along. (as i in the previous adventure "told/Tought" it  )

If ever out of mental reach and Voice reach.

I suppose he'd keep following My last command till its filled out and then returns,
aka out of Space's to check for Traps and Hostiles, and wander back For more orders.

on that note ill command it to keep checking for now but remain in that 30ft radius.

and suppose ill sit back and relax, maybe take a nap, as i think this might take a while with that kind of vision.

...

If nothing is found in that 30ft Radius. (Aka The entire room as far as i read (15ft/15ft right?) )

Ill strip down give Wrinkly the all Gear, (Except my torches, And Liquid light)

And have him transport it across the floor, under water. to the other side.

And then swim across myself i suppose.

Sliver

15X15 is only the part before the split. You are notified the water is 30ft deep.

Anyway, as it floats around and beyond the split, it is attacked by an eel-human hybrid that leaps out and attacks in surprise with a spear:

Is the thing immune to bloodsucking by any chance?

The eel drops it's spear and attacks with pincers and a bite.

[roll0]
[roll1]

[roll2]
[roll3]

[roll4]
[roll5] + attach

(if it gets attached then you can either kill it or grapple+pin down to remove. Killing is attacking!)

Angelic_Dawn

Checks big stack of immunities

Immunity to all mind-affecting effects
(charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects).

Immunity to poison,
sleep effects,
paralysis,
stunning,
disease,
Drowning,
and death effects.

Not subject to critical hits,
nonlethal damage,
ability drain,
energy drain.

Immune to damage to its physical ability scores
(Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution),
as well as to fatigue and exhaustion effects.

Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save
(unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless).

Oh also just noticed Undead Traits give it
Darkvision out to 60 feet. Yay.

Oh also bit late, but if its still within 30ft of me,
It also gets the bonus of my Acid Shield aura
(Anything that hits it Recieves 2 Acid dmg per hit)

1 hit, it takes 1 Dmg (HP=15). (you potentialy 2 Acid if Wrinkly is still in aura range)

Grappled Retaliation Strike.
So taking One Natural attack -4 (i recall)

[roll3]

Sliver
2010-03-10, 03:23 PM
What grapple? Only the last attack (which is a bite) is an attaching attack. And it doesn't start a grapple either. You can start a grapple to take him off, but don't have to.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-10, 03:27 PM
ups well then the N.Attack of previous is at +4 To hit.

And add.
Second N.attack. For a full attack.

Just a in between random Question,

but theorethicly if your solo (as in i lost my/have no pets/or didnt wanna use them),

Could I...

Move action, Poke a door,
And then as the door is opening, Ready Action to attack the first target?

Oh wait the doors here where 500lbs of Thick Steel right?
Doubt that can be poked open. or..?

Sliver
2010-03-11, 02:18 AM
Both hit.
13
[roll0]
[roll1]

[roll2]
[roll3]

[roll4]
[roll5] + attach.

As for your question, no. Doors open right away with no delay, so you can't use a standard action while they open. It was only relevant on the first floor anyway, and isn't relevant in any of those already made. Don't know yet if the 5ft floor will make it a relevant question anyway.

Angelic_Dawn

huzzah, we'll suppose it'll keep looking trough all the other squares if there is anything hostile or trap like left,

If not or at least not any he can find, wrinkly returns.

Mean while Grim sip's his lemonade on the beach. :smallwink:

Sliver
2010-03-11, 06:00 AM
You are not on the beach, the beach is on the other side of the water, 50ft away. If you want to, you can swim over there.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-11, 06:08 AM
Aaww.

No ill wait for now,
Suppose Ill sit on hard concrete waiting for My pet Zombie to return then.

As it seems thats one hell of a big area, i might as well get comfy as that might take a few mins.

If he returns ill ask him about all the stuff he encountered.

Sliver
2010-03-11, 06:09 AM
I already gave you the map. No more encounters, although there was a trap that tried to sink it. There are 4 doors out of the area.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-11, 06:24 AM
oh sorry,

hm.. Ill take off all my stuff, and have him carry it to the other side, (the beach across the hall)
(except for my torches which ill keep myself, to keep them dry.)

Then ill swim to the other side, taking 10 Scoring 14,
assuming there is no hurry ill get there eventualy.

on the otherside ill get dressed again, while ordering Wrinkly to recover the corpse, which ill add to my big bag's of corpses, allso getting hauled across the water (probaly under water) by wrinkly.

And if he's done, have him look for any loot in these hallways,
while i sort myself out.

Sliver
2010-03-11, 06:25 AM
You can also have the spear. You stumble upon a chest sticking through the sand.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-11, 06:32 AM
Assuming i gained a spear *Ding Spear gain*

Wrinkly is probaly back, Ill have him open it. (Grim's paranoid much? :smallwink:)

Sliver
2010-03-11, 06:42 AM
You find 5000sp, Quaal's feather token, anchor and a scroll.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-11, 06:55 AM
I stuff it in my lewt bag,

Well on the beach me, polly and wrinkly lugging loot and corpses.
Wander to the south door and open it**

(** As per previously mentioned door openery, Maybe there are some sane rooms in here)

Sliver
2010-03-11, 06:59 AM
No.

http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/6451/room21.th.jpg (http://img503.imageshack.us/i/room21.jpg/)

There are doors and the gray star is a note.

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-11, 07:53 AM
Ah shoot,

well seeing grim wouldnt know about the note yet
or how awsomly big this room is...

i suppose id follow the previous chain,
commanding wrinkly to once again check the room,
and return afterwards to report.

seeing the size of the room that'll take while,
grim wishes he had brought something to read..

Sliver
2010-03-11, 08:32 AM
But you do see straight away that you don't have to go into the water to get to other places. Do you still want to explore the entire body of water?

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-11, 08:43 AM
Well in that case ill start off with having him explore the land and report , first.

If he locates nothing of note, ( besides the note)
have him explore the water afterwards as well.

Sliver
2010-03-11, 08:50 AM
It's like you test how quickly will it die!

Out of aura range, it is attacked in the water by This humanoid has scaly skin with webbed fingers and toes, and sharp fangs fill its mouth. It has a long tail ending in a curved fin, and it has fins on its arms, back, and head. Its great, staring eyes are deep black.

It attacks through the water, which acts like obscuring mist, so 20% miss chance to all attacks

[roll0]
[roll1] 1 miss

[roll3]

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-11, 09:12 AM
Funny isnt it, its not like i really care about it,
Its highly unkillable,

And i got a big stack of ex-Overpowered critters waiting to take its place.
even if it does go down,

Wonder which one'll last longest.:smalltongue:

Miss,

Its a soulmeld that allows me to animate any living critter,
(up to my HD, in HD = 2)
(necrocarnum circlet)
in trade for hp loss/dmg..

I cannot go below half hp without my shaman aura kicking in,
So i can unlimitedly heal that dmg with my shaman aura.

But i can control only one at a time, :smallfrown:
else there'd be dozens running amock all over the floor.

In short im using your own creatures against you, with the help of a small combo.
(the entire concept of the char)

its not as powerfull as it seems tho,
assuming any next creature is stronger then the previous in theory i should run out of corpses eventualy, and gotta aid the last one, and team up, to collect new.
(and thats not even taking onto account the things i cannot animate,
like constructs & undead. So i should run out of corpses even sooner)

and grim cant fight for the life of him.
( usualy the guy targed in combat previous floor,
the huge rooms are only an asset to grim)

Angelic_Dawn
2010-03-11, 09:42 AM
Yups its dying already..

Takes 4dmg Hp=11.
Well if.. Matching Ac is good enough,
if you have to beat it, miss.

Hope my stack holds out for a level or two
so ican tune grim a bit more to help out in combat.

Like DR, you get the one that is most efficient so no penalties and it's a kill.

300xp, trident and it finds a chest underwater.

You are also the first to actually fight it, the rest missed it.
