All Combatants, please roll initiative and declare final purchases, if any. Remember that this is a single elimination Endurance tournament; all damage and effects carry over, with one hour between matches.

Wildgesit Reporting.

Rolling Initiative [roll0]

No final purchases.

I only have some personal doubts about Mork's abilities, but I'll wait for him to report in, so I ask him myself... I'm kindda not familiarized with Psions... Hehehe.

I hate to ask this so close the match starting, but did Mork get an OK on Strongheart Vest reducing the ability burn from Body Fuel?

In the same vein, what action was decided on for using Body Fuel?

Not that I know of. While it would reduce the damage, the wording of the feat states that you gain PP only in proportion to the damage you actually take. Body Fuel is a standard action to use, being a Su ability that doesn't state otherwise.

:smallsigh:

If I don't get the "Ok" for that, can I "substitute" a different character that has already been approved and has already actually lost out in a different round?

Substitutions don't seem right. These tournaments are random selection for a reason; if one person got to choose who they brought to the fight, they could pick a character better designed to combat that particular opponent and have a huge advantage. So I guess the choices are play anyhow, or drop out of the round to either fix this guy and resubmit him or retire him altogether.

So.... Then what's gonna happen here??? Does the character build of theterran gives him some kind of "off-the-rules" unspected advantage??? I really don't know how psions work so I don't get what's the problem here... :smalltongue:

The problem comes from the fact that, depending on how you interpret Body Fuel. Body fuel lets you take 1 ability damage to Str/Dex/Con to gain 2 PP, and Strongheart Vest reduces all ability damage by 1, so I would basically have unlimited PP. But as Sallera has ruled that I actually have to take the damage to get the benefit, the character won't work...

I guess I'll just drop and give him the win...it would have been nice if someone would have pointed that out when checking the sheet...:smallsigh:

And so, Wildgeist defeats Mork by character building issues!

I'm fairly sure I did mention it shortly after the sheet was submitted, when someone asked the question.

Ah, here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7898716) we are, from a month ago. I mean, sorry you missed it, but it's generally a good idea to confirm questionable combos before trying to use them.

Meh...didn't seem "questionable" to me...but to each his own...:smallwink:

Infinite PP didn't seem questionable?

Honestly? Not considering you can't go above max, it takes a standard action (I believe), and I could only get it 2 at a time w/o actually taking ability damage.
