Book reference? All books are open.Yes, which is why "there's a feat somewhere called Earth Power" isn't as helpful as it could be. If you add (RoS) behind the feat or group the feats by book they're easier to find.

True, but each of you have listed where they're from at the top of your posts. I can reference where they're from fairly easily with your posts.

Will others be looking for earth-based things? I'll consider doing that tomorrow...for now, I need sleep. :smallsigh:

The only one I can think of that hasn't been listed already is the Force of Nature 3.5 Epic Destiny.

One of the powers is earth themed. Gives you DR/adamantium, the ability to cause small tremors at will that knock people prone, and if you are a druid you can wild shape into any elemental of the earth subtype.

Sandstorm have several spells, couple of which are "bi" elements like sandstorm (Air, Earth: how's that for opposing elements?) and Wall of Magma (Earth, Fire).

This thread will likely come up in Google from now on if people search for DnD Earth themes.
So it would be a good idea to include the book abbreviations in brackets after each listing.

Sandstorm have several spells, couple of which are "bi" elements like sandstorm (Air, Earth: how's that for opposing elements?) and Wall of Magma (Earth, Fire).

Did we make it this far without mentioning the Shugenja, from C. Divine, who specializes in elements, and has the Elemental Sense ability to find them in a radius around him?

Races of Stone (I think, don't see a reason why it shouldn't be in the same book as the race themselfs) has the Goliath sub levels that give better earth elementals (but no air/water/fire)

Temotei

Updated and took out the phrase about keeping out of racial abilities. I originally created this thread for ideas on a homebrew and for general use for a character involving that homebrew, but now I think the thread should include those racial abilities so future users/observers can see everything related to earth.

That opens up a lot of things, methinks. :smallamused:

A quick search indicates that Earth Devotion from Complete Champion hasn't been mentioned yet.

Also, the Elements Mantle from CPsi has an Earth option. CPsi also has an Earth Walk power.

EDIT: A whole Earth Mantle (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070629a) is available online. And the Truenamer (Tome of Magic) has Utterances: Shield of the Landscape, Speak Rock to Mud, Transform the Landscape, and Anger the Sleeping Earth. (Not that anyone will ever pick the last one, since it's by far the worst of the three capstone Utterances a L20 Truenamer can take.) The vestige Agares has several Earth-themed powers too.

Elemental Savant is in Complete Arcane- was originally in Tome & Blood.

Also- it's divine counterpart- Elemental Archon, is in Faiths & Pantheons- however, that's a Faerun book.

Miniatures Handbook has an Elemental Summoner PRC, and Draconomicon has the Elemental Master PRC- that requires you to be a dragon.

Hmm- does Dragon Compendium count? If so, there is the Sha'ir- another 20-level class, specializing in elemental stuff, including Earth.

Updated, and thanks for the contributions, everyone. This list is getting to include a lot more than I originally had hoped.

Heart of Earth(Complete Mage)-The whole heart of line is great. Hour/level personal buffs with minor effects that can be dispelled to get a etter effect for rnd/level. Heart of earth's strong effect is stoneskin without the diamond component. Also having multiple heartlline effects running grants fortification.

Temotei

Updated to include Heart of Earth.

hamishspence
2010-03-17, 02:04 PM
Also- I made a slight error in the Miniatures Handbook example- the name of the PRC is Bonded Summoner.

Underdark (Faerun, but the content seems like it could work in any setting with an Underdark (Greyhawk has one) has a few monsters, and earth related PRCs.

And Earth Nodes.

PRCs: Cavelord, Deep Diviner

Monster template: Mineral Warrior.

Spells. Some are reprinted in Spell Compendium, those which aren't, are underlined:

Burrow
Tremorsense
Burrow, Mass
Hail of Stone
Eradicate Earth
Excavate
Mineralize Warrior
Stone Metamorphosis
Stone Metamorphosis, Greater
Changestones
Stone Shape
Stone Shape, Greater
Stone Sphere
Tunnel Swallow
Undermaster
Locate Node
Node Door

Watch out: nodes, IIRC, has been updated in Champions of Ruin.

There is a feat in PHII called Earthbound Spell. Did someone pointed it out yet?

A questions, OP: Do you need monsters?

Nitpick on ToB: you should report the whole stone dragon school, IMHO, because it requires contact with the ground and seems very tightly linked with earth.

Another thing: Complete Mage has Adamantine wings, too.. I've seen that metals spells are included, too, so...

Nope.

Why not? Sure.

I did. :smallconfused:

As long as the object of interest is included, the source doesn't matter, as long as one source for it is shown. If I get more ambitious, I'll mark individual things with multiple sources.

White text for you and me.
