so guise, it's that tiem again! Silly Mud, this isn't /b/! :smalltongue:
Anyway, recently my laptop at home just ain't cutting it--frequent crashes, insides (I can hear it sputtering when I open Adobe Products), and overall slowness. Needless to say, I'm looking into a new one.
I've got:
$1000 budget,
1GB of DDR3 memory laying around my house,
and the sub par components from my current computer.
I want:
Windows, preferably Windows 7.
Able to seamlessly video edit/preform CPU intensive tasks
General interwebz surfing
Maybe a full keyboard?
I guess what I'm really looking for is a battery powered pseudo-portable 14lbs. desktop, not an ultra-portable notebook.
Any thoughts on this? Should I buy or build? If buy, from whom?
And lastly, NO Dell.
