so a storm last weekend knocked out my computer. after trying to fix it myself I have turned it over to a professional.
I'm told the power supply is gone completely and the first harddrive (the one with most of my stuff *and the OS* on it) is irreparably damaged. I'm told a data recovery is potentially possible, but i might be losing all my music, writings, anything I've ever made :smalleek:

life sucks sometimes :smallyuk:

If life had a ctrl+Z function so you could redo stuff and make back-ups for occasions like this, life would be so much better. :smallfrown:

Thats why ive always told every customer that even remotely hints about that at work, get something like cds, dvds, or better an external hdd to back stuff up :P

I had to learn the hard way myself, now I keep 2 backup portable hard drives. So much cheaper in the long run.
