Factotum+Tripping = Awesome?

I've been thinking on the Factotum's "Brains Over Brawn" ability. That's the one that gives you your INT to all STR and DEX checks. Is tripping not a STR check? At the cost of a few HP and 1 BaB, could one not change Tripping priorities from buffing STR and size to STR, Size and INT, allowing one to use a headband of intellect and a tome of clear thought to boost one's tripping ability. You'd also net a few class features and EVERY class skill. Worth it?

Yes, it's a solid combo. Consider also dipping a little Swordsage for the Mighty Throw line of feats, allowing you to trip with Dex + Int and ensure that your size modifier is always positive even if you're smaller than your opponent.

Initiative is also considered a DEX check, so don't forget to add your INT to initiative rolls. :smallwink:
