The BBEG in my game is a an gnome arcane caster that uses constructs. The constructs are directed in the field by his half-brass golem general.

The trouble is, I'm having a hard time finding creative, yet level appropriate constructs to use against my PCs.

I've been using the effigies in ComArc, and the Golems in MMI, as well as some from the XPH. What other kind of constructs are out there? Have I played myself into a corner? I don't think they are ready for Inevitables, yet either.

Where can I find some more constructs? Do you have any recommendations for really cool encounters?

Astral Constructs?

If you take away the homonculi's thing where they cause HP damage to the guy who made them, there's a number of interesting varieties that have been created by Eberron. Those're constructs.

Many of them have quite interesting abilities.

What level are you looking for?

Eberron's warforged are very customizable since they're a PC race. Depending on how you build them, you can make them heavy fighters, nimble skirmishers or even spellcasters (pretty much whatever you can do with PCs). There are also the unintelligent warforged titans, which are enormous robots. Info on them can be found in Monster Manual III, Eberron Campaign Setting, and Races of Eberron.

Monster Manual II has the clockwork horrors, insectoid constructs that can be a lot of fun. However, be very careful with the Adamantine Horror. It has at-will Mordenkainen's Disjunction, Disintegrate and Implosion on a CR 9 Monster. I'd remove the Disjunction (using that on PCs is just cheating), Implosion (It's another 9th level spell for crying out loud, the DC's going to be way too high) and either replace Disintegrate or reduce its uses, or give it a recharge time ala dragon breath.

I'm looking for all levels.

The three PCs are all level 10: a sorcerer, psychic warrior with that awesome sword acf, and a rogue.

I wanted some lower cr ones that could attack in mass. I want some higher level ones for the future, and just whatever I can find.

Edit: The clock work horrors are perfect! The gnome is attacking a newly established Kobold settlement.

Any more suggestions?

Monster Manual III has a few mid- to high-CR golems:
-Alchemical Golem: Walking chemistry experiment. Secretes acid when damaged.
-Gloom Colem: Goth version of the clay golem. It has no face, but instead a gaping hole that emits horrific wailing continuously. Fights with a spiked chain.
-Hangman Golem: Made out of rope; strangles people.
-Prismatic Golem: It may be pretty much made out of rainbows, but it's kinda powerful. (Imagine a walking prismatic spray).

Fiend Folio has the Blood Golem of Hextor, which is essentially a mass of animated blood inside a leaky suit of armor. It has two arms with three flails each. Nasty customer, though I don't think it suits the gnome tinker feel.

A while back, a few other posters and I on the WotC boards worked up some more homebrew horrors; they were lost in the forum change, but I saved them, and if you want I can post those stats for you.
