This is a thread where you can create a possible future for your characters. The idea all started when a whole room full of people in HALO got hit by age potions and were advanced ten years. Hilarity ensued, as it turned out some people were married, pregnant and so on.

Then seeing that Maya is out of breath Vaze quickly picks her up, looks for the beast and then starts to run again.

And hey look! A small little cave. It's going to be a squeeze to get in but at least they'll be safe. Maybe...

The beast who is following their scent, and has come close to the cliffs, looking at them as they enter the cave.

Maya had winced when she was lifted up. She managed to not cry out in pain, though, which is a good sign.

Maya painfully is at a further part of the cave.
She sits, and has a sharp intake of breath. "Okay." she says, clenching her teeth.


Outside, the beast prowls back and forth in front of the cave.
Prowling...walking around, sniffing, stomach growling, and so on.

Vaze stands closer to the entrance watching the beast. " Come on... just leave... " He says.

Then he turns his attention to Maya. " We're safe for now. Are you hurt? "

Vaze nods and sees the beast leave. He waits about two minutes and then cautiously looks out. Then he goes back in waits a minute and then steps out scanning the area.

He'll spend about ten minutes making sure that it's safe to come out again.
Cavern
After the (10+1+2) minutes, it is safe to come out again! The beast has gone somewhere else, evident by the screaming of a cougar off yonder.

Maya hasn't moved from where she was, except maybe to find a splint. Nope, rocks don't make good splints. Sticks do, though.

After making sure it's safe. " Okay, looks like it's safe now. Do you need any help? " Vaze says going back into the cave to help Maya.

Hopefully they can get back to there home without trouble.

Nathan and I went hiking and we got knocked out and Nathan hurt himself and I woke up and this woman said she picked us up 'cause we were on her land and Nathan's in a healing glade and she's got a safe place and she said I should have my family there at least until I give birth to Conky and... stuff.

Leaning against the wall, she says, "I might need you to carry me, but that's it."

Yes, that's the positive thing!

Maya gets carried back, so that she doesn't have to mess up her leg even more.

"Thank you," she says to him.

On the way home

Vaze smiles. " Anything for the one I love. " He says and keeps his attention focused on getting her back home.

He realizes that she hurt her leg or foot or something pretty badly but Vaze thinks maybe Maya just sprained her ankle or something.

And on another positive side they see there home and will be there in the next couple of posts.

Maya smiles. She doens't mind being jostled around while being carried now.

And, they're almost there. Like...pretty close.

"How about..." she starts, looking at her leg. "First, get me a long, straight, strong stick. Then, some ice after that."

She smiles at him to show that she's alright.

Vaze nods but still seems worried. Usually you don't need a splint when it's not something that bad.

But he will do as he is told and get Maya a stick for a splint as well as some ice. He will also start rummaging through his bag and pull out some bandages.

" Anything else? " He asks wanting to make sure she's comfortable.

Luro is sweeping the floors of HALO, since Pixie made him do so as punishment for being a bad influence on Trevor.

Vaze is only half listening. He enjoys the sound of her voice more than what she is actually saying. He's also really focused on finding and eliminating all the knots in her back.

After about ten minutes of trying to get all the knots out he goes back to just trying to make it feel nice. This will last about another five minutes or so.

Yes, it does feel nice. However, she concentrates really hard to continue reading the book.

She even does the emotions of the book right, as she reads through the first chapter, with Death as the narrator.


Vaze is only half listening. He enjoys the sound of her voice more than what she is actually saying. He's also really focused on finding and eliminating all the knots in her back.

After about ten minutes of trying to get all the knots out he goes back to just trying to make it feel nice. This will last about another five minutes or so.

Regardless of whether Vaze is listening or not, Maya continues to read the book aloud.

Some time after the massage's finished, she needs a drink, though. But she doesn't want to ask, because he's too busy listening, she thinks.

Maya's back should feel all not... knotted... or tense... because Vaze finished the back rub/massage. He goes and sits back down next to her and continues to listen for a while.

Vaze then starts to notice how much she's swallowing and other indicators of thirst. " Do you want some water? "

"Yes, sure," she says. "That would be great."

She smiles, and sets down the book, awaiting his return.

And, yes, her back does feel better. Thank you.

Vaze comes back with two glasses of water. One for each of them. " Here you go. " He says handing Maya one of the glasses.

He sits down and listens will listen more to Maya as she reads some more.

"Thank you," she says gratefully, taking the glass and drinking half of it.

She then puts the cup between her legs so it won't spill on the bed, before beginning to read again.

Vaze will listen to her read and drink his water. He tries to hide a yawn behind his hand as he listens to Maya.

It seems to be getting pretty late.

Yes, it does.

She takes another drink, drinking the remaining half, and finishes up her water.

After getting to the end of Chapter 3, she yawns as well. "Well, I think that's enough for now."

Vaze nods. He takes both of there glasses and puts them away. Then he'll come back and take the book to set it aside.

Then he sits back down onto the bed. " You have a really beautiful voice you know. " He says quietly to Maya with a blush.

While he was gone, she laid down onto the bed, relaxing.

"Thank you," she says to him. "I've been told that before."

Vaze nods. " Well today has been pretty crazy hasn't it? "

He starts to lay out onto the bed. " And the day is pretty much over... are you going to be fine sleeping like that? " He gestures to her injured leg.

"Yes, it has," she agrees.

Looking down at her leg, she nods, then shrugs. "How else would I sleep in it?"

Vaze shrugs. " Err... I don't know. Differently? " He asks with a quizzical look on his face.

"Oh. I don't think so," she says, shaking her head, still lying down.

"I think its good."

" Okay, you're the nurse. I was just making sure that you where alright. " Vaze stands up and turns off the light in the room. Now the room is filled with the natural star and moonlight.

He then goes and lays down on the bed. He turns his head to look at Maya and starts to say something but it gets caught in his throat.

Light's off...

She doesn't ask Vaze what he was thinking about saying, because she's getting her leg comfortable at the moment. Eventually, she does get it good.

Vaze is finally able to work through that thing caught in his throat. " I love you. " He says quickly and then turns his eyes up to the ceiling. He shuts them and starts to try to fall asleep.

Silly Vaze is not good with signs/sayings of affection.

After a brief silence, she says, "Love you too."

Then, she actually goes to sleep now.

And so they sleep. Well Vaze sleeps for the most part.

Can't say for Maya though.

Nothing really happens at during the night.

Exactly. Maya sleeps well enough throughout the night. Very few nightmares.

In the morning Vaze wakes up and stretches. He looks over at Maya and then gets up to go make breakfast.

Once Vaze has cooked breakfast, which is toast, sausage, and cereal, he brings it in to the bedroom.

He goes over and gently shakes Maya to try and wake her. " Maya... Maya I made us some breakfast... "

Cabin -- which is to say, of course not. Maybe a portal instead, for easy travelling. Or a bus stop.

Maya groans, then wakes up.

"What time is it...? she says, swatting at Vaze.

Vaze avoids the swat and looks out the window. " About eight thirty by the looks of it. " He says and sits down out of Maya's reach.

"Oh." She doesn't swat again, or ask if she's late for work.

Rather, she sits up, then remembers that her leg's broken. Guess how she remembered?

Pain from sitting up? Trying to stand up? Either way Vaze is soon beside her.

" You alright? " He asks with concern in his voice.

"Oh, yes. I'm alright," she says to him who is beside her.

Maya luckily didn't mess anything up with her leg.

Vaze sighs. " Okay good. Want anything to eat? " He asks and holds out the various breakfast items that he made.

"Oh, yes. Thank you," she says, looking over them and smelling the cooked food.

"It looks delicious."

Vaze smiles and scratches the back of his head. " Eh, thanks but it's probably nothing compared to what you can cook. "

He says and scoots close enough so they can both eat the food.

She smiles at the compliment.

:Then, Maya begins to eat some of the delicious food.

Vaze looks at Maya's leg. " Do you think I should go and get a healer for that or something? "

Maya eats the breakfast food. "If you can find one," she says to him.

"Good idea," she says to Vaze, at his suggestion.

Vaze nods. " Okay, umm... well find something to keep you busy and I'll go try to find somebody. " He says and stands up.

He looks around and goes over to the books. " Should a book work? "

She thinks. "Yes, a book would work," she says. Luckily, she already has a book. She's going to finish reading it.

In fact, she holds up the book to show.

Vaze nods. " Okay I'll be back as soon as possible. " He goes over to give her a quick kiss.

Then he will leave to go to HALO and try to find somebody that can heal.

"Bye," says Maya. She watches him leave, and waits to hear him exit the building, before she starts reading the book again.

So Vaze is wandering the hallways looking for people. He also checks the infirmary.

I'm not sure, mommy is close to giving birth to Conky, and she might have to go stay in some glade until she gives birth. She asked me to go with her but I can't just leave you Vita, and our children here without me, and I don't think that I would be allowed to bring everyone and their significant other in the case of the future kids. So I'll have to settle for teleporting to her whenever I have time.

When they get to the pool Pixie walks up to the side of it, turns and takes Lisa in her arms and noms her face off waiting for Lisa to take the last step that will make them fall into the water.
