So, anyone else listen to them? ((link) (http://www.protomen.com/)

For those too lazy to check, The Protomen are a band loosely based (VERY LOOSELY) off of Megman 1/2/3. So far, they've got 2 acts for the... Rock Opera, I guess, and it's awesome.

Not many people seem to know about them, though. Anyone here even heard of 'em?

I've heard of em. Cool band, bro.

A hardcore megaman fan showed me this band, and i eventually turned into a megaman fan myself. It's contagious.

Yes, I have listened to them. And yes, I still listen to some of the best songs every now and then.

They were a big influence on me finally beginning to like musicals and such.

Great band, can't wait for their third CD to come out. Really intersted in where they go from their roots. They seem to like experimenting, their first an second CD being so different in tone and style.

I'd say my favorite song is "The Hounds"

I've been extremely tempted to send "The Hounds" to people and claim it's a number from the upcoming Doctor Who Musical. Because it sounds SO MUCH like something The Master would do.

Beard's Going Nowhere (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHyGakg3Ts0), anyone? :smalltongue:

Or Due Vendetta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y5kkkDyqOQ)?

"The Hounds" is pretty good, but I can't really decide on a favorite song.

I like Act I's Will of One Vengence and Sons of Fate, but on the other hand, Breaking Out and Light up the Night are also awesome. :smalltongue:

Though if I was pressed, I'd probably say Will of One is my favorite song.

The Hounds, Beard's Going Nowhere, Vengeance, and Unrest in the House of Light for the undeniable win.

I actually have a good amount of Mega Man music in general, there's a lot of good stuff out there. Remixes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsMthqSjJFU&feature=related) and covers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MvCwJiflBw&feature=related)of songs from the games, of course; but the Megas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJlNbBqK0Wg) kick good butt, Random's Mega Ran album has good tracks (Final Battle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbeEz4G1DvU), Splash Woman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCJ0-hyJ-YM), and his team up with the Megas for Metal Man (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UThLbjh0EZU) specifically), Kiwikenobi's English version of I Can't Defeat Airman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLzCfUM7BM8), and of course TheAdventuresofDuaneAndBrandO's somewhat infamous Mega Man 2 rap (which I will not link to due to gratuitous profanity).

Edit: Oh, let's not forget the German Intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA-NRCAW90o) to the cartoon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1Bec5tUtR4&feature=related).

I bought both their CDs and got them shipped to Switzerland. And in the end, it wasn't even expensive at all. I'm all for supporting these small and great groups.

First CDs I bought in a long time.

My girlfriend's really into them, and there's a chance that I'll be going to one of their shows when they tour soon, but I really haven't heard much of them except their second album, which was pretty good. I didn't much care for their sound at first, but it definitely grew on me.

TheDoujinChannel has lots and lots of great Mega Man remixes as well. U-GEN as well as MEGALOMANIA are my favorites.

And yes, the Protomen are totally awesome. My favorite song is hard to pick, but it would either be Breaking Out, Keep Quiet, or Here Comes the Arm.
