So over at the Avatar Theme Week Central (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139065) we decided that our next theme week will be:

Pokémon

This means that we'll be using Pokémon themed avatars for the week beginning 10th of May. We'll be using our normal avatars as Pokémon, as Pokémon trainers (like mine) or totally new Pokémon themed avatars.

This thread is for cajoling artists to make you a Pokémon avatar, discussing the week, discussing the avatars and probably once the week starts a bunch of inexplicable roleplay which seems to be the norm in avatar theme week threads.

Alright. I have decided. I must has HORSEA!!! The coolest little guy ever. I always run him solo through the last two gyms (original versions) to level him fast since you don't get one until Cinnabar. I also keep him from evolving because Horsea is way cooler than Seadra.

Honestly, the 2nd and 4th generation had some... odd... designs, in my opinion. 1st and 3rd are my favorites; Dragonite, Arcanine, Growlithe, Flareon, Jolteon, Tauros and Gyarados are all awesome (though some of them started out... odd), as are Absol, Jirachi and Deoxys. And Absol is my favorite Pokemon, and has been since the first time I saw it.

Wait for gen 5 (coming out this year in Japan), the 3 main gen 4 games have very poor save speed that kill the enjoyment of the game. I'm told they fixed it in HGSS, but you (likely) have alreddy played Gold/Silver/Crystal.
