Bludgeon of Ideological Infringement - Artifact ●●●●● (Or N/A, not sure how balanced it is)

Ockam was a Solar with a problem. In the closing days of the First Age, when the Solars were at the height of their power, Ockam was a Demi-god apart. He was one of the eminent warriors, hailing back to the first days of the Primordial War, in which he had accounted himself admirably. He was a smith with few peers, but his place was on the battlefield, smiting his enemies with a might hammer wrought of his own hand. But in the waning days of Solar rule, there were few mighty enemies left to test himself against. Nearly all of the rogue behemoths had been hunted down and slain, and there were few hosts left who would dare challenge a Chosen of the Unconquered Son. So Ockam turned his ministrations to the battlefields of the mind, to debate and discussion. But Ockam found himself powerless to fight against the accomplished and established seductioneers and wordsmiths that the Exalted who turned their full attentions to the field had become. He realized that he would never be their equal on even footing, and in his madness, he turned all his smithing expertise to forging this hammer, so that he might fall upon his enemies with martial might and come out with a mental victory.

Grand Goremaul, Speed 6, Acc +0, Damage 17B*/5, Def -3, Attune 10, 2OPR

This Goremaul can be used in combat just as any other weapon. However, it can also be used in social combat, in which case it can be used to make attacks against an opponent's Intimacies or Willpower. How it does this, whether the wielder actually physically attacks their target, is up to the ST. Attacking the opponent's Intimacies requires a regular combat roll, where the Intimacy has Soak (Sum of target's Virtues), hardness (Target's Compassion), and a DDV of (Target's Essence). They have a number of -0 health levels equal to (Target's Willpower). An Incapacitated intimacy is considered eroded, but the target can protect the Intimacy at a cost of 2WP. This counts as Unnatural Mental Influence. Any charms that raise MDDV can also raise a targetted Intimacy's DDV. The Exalt cannot inflict minimum damage in Social Combat, either with this weapon's Overwhelming tag, or with their Essence rating.

Likewise, the Opponent's willpower has these statistics, though its soak and hardness are doubled, but loses temporary Willpower points instead of health levels. If a target has no temporary willpower, the attacker can inflict derangements at a rate of 4 damage levels per EXP.

Let me know what you fellows think. More of a thought exercise than any particular attempt at a viable artifact.

I have no idea of how Exalted or any other WW game works, but that's an extremely cool concept, and even cooler name.

I applaud!
