For me, reading strip 710 then getting the joke in the title was easily one of the best OOTS moments for me yet. Is my memory just too short, or is it the best title joke ever? If you disagree, please let me know which one or ones you recall were better nasal beverage geyser moments for you.

I prefer "Hell Hath Exactly As Much Fury".

It took me a really long time to even pick up on the joke in the first place.

That being said, the ones that really stuck with me were the one Kurald mentioned and It Has Flowers, Hearts, and a DC 30 lock.

In terms of the title providing a perfect punchline to the comic, I commend to your attention:

"Hey, It Was Worth a Shot (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0069.html)"
"It Is Always Exactly Where They Intend It to Be (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0173.html)"
"Half-Dragons Are Even Worse (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0555.html)"

In short, no: there are many far better ones.

Furthermore, it's a gag that was already used in the comic; Roy wonders at one point when Eugene reveals himself as Shojo's accomplice if his father gets XP for killing the dramatic moment.

I second third the ninja diary title

Maybe not, but I think it was high up there. After all, I do think rouges are overpowdered.

I prefer titles that work on multiple levels, like I Need a Hero (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0613.html). (It took me a long time to get the sandwich pun. :smalltongue:)

Likewise, there are something like three jokes in In Azure City, Shark Jumps You! (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0542.html)

This one (#711) definitely beats it. Works on many levels.

It's all opinion; I happen to agree 710 was a good one; but that's because it took me a pathetic amount of time to get what they were talking about. As long as it takes me a couple read throughs to get what they're talking about, I'm fine with it. :D

For those who have played World of Warcraft it is a common joke when anybody spells rogue as rouge.

For those who have played World of Warcraft it is a justifiable excuse for homicide when anybody spells rogue as rouge, in the presence of a rogue.

Fixed for clarity :smalltongue:

Also, Wikipedia has a bunch of rouge administrators (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:ROUGE).

I have to say I prefer On Friendship (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0685.html).

It's got to be up there as one of the best, but there are a lot of good jokes to choose from and it's subjective.

My personal favorite is Meanwhile, His Teammate Was In Rhodes (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0560.html). It took me a couple reads to get the pun in the final panel, which in turn makes an even worse pun out of the title.

I like that one too.

Usually, I don't pay much attention to the titles. Sometimes they're nice, but then the next comic comes up, and finding the title of an old one requires, like, effort, so I don't bother with it.

Pleasingly, in the books the title is written at the foot of each page, which works even better considering so many of them are a continuation of the punchline in the last panel.

Haha, I was going to promote Someone Was Looking For You (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0348.html), but I think Hell Hath Exactly As Much Fury (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0394.html) is even better.

EDIT: Also, Regarding the Speed With Which One Removes Band-Aids (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0530.html).

I disagree on account of not finding it that funny at all.

Ooh, yes. That's one of my favorite strips of all time, and the title is a good part of why.

I still think one of the best is A Matter of Perspective (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0188.html). The payoff from reading the title is what makes the comic funny--thus one where the title is integral to the joke itself.

Cheers.

Half-Dragons are even worse (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0555.html) seems like a funny one, until you realize that they're generally conceived when the dragon is in humanoid form... Until the kid is born (with some pretty obvious draconic features), the other parent might not even KNOW they've been, uh, "mating" with a dragon.

My brother is incredibly fond of The Enemy of My Enemy is a Tree (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0169.html).
For myself, I don't know, really.
