Howdy, dudes! From the creator of My Name Is Q, The Q's Comic Review, Super Smash B-List and Smooth Moves comics a another fancomic!

http://i40.tinypic.com/2qsb5gm.png

This is a story about an epic adventure that will last hundreds of comics about a group of adventurers going to destroy an ancient evil and- no wait. It isn't. This is just a little experiment comic to see if I could do the gag strip as well as I can do comics with a huge story. I tried something like that a long time ago and got bored, but I don't think that will happen this time.

This is just a strip illistrating some of the weirder things I think about videogames, specifically the Mario Kart series. I doubt it will update consistently.

You should blurr the wheels slightly and background to make it look as if their moving

But its silly and i Kinda get it! =D

Thanks! I'll update the first two comics and try that out. I was really stumped how to make the wheels look like they aren't spinning, and now I can't believe I didn't think of that! Thanks, Fay!

Could you please explain comic #2 for me? I may just be tired, but I don't get it.

It's a pun based on the dog peeing at a fire-hydrant I believe.

So far so good Q. I'm reading this.

I've been experimenting with the blur effect in my art program. Although I'm not too sure about how they came out. It's an inexact science, which involves converting to bitmaps and a lot of complicated stuff. But, here are the comic updated to have blur effects. Tell me what you guys think.

I'm not just gonna EXPLAIN it! You know what they say about explaining jokes! "Don't do it"!

But I can say that Fayte is pretty close. Not exactly, but the same basic idea.

PPS: New comics are coming soon! :smallwink:

awesome i got it nearly there! =D
Slightly more blurring is needed by the way Q.
And also, try to copy paste the background slightly off to the left somewhat and make it slightly transparent to give the impression of movement.
(awww hell yeah! a bottle of whine in half an hour and i can still post somewhat clearly with somewhat good advice! =3)

Thanks again for the advice, Fayte. I will use it in future issues, though I have decided not to waste time updating the old issues with that art advice and instead make new comics.

Enjoy this new comic!

Nice Car

Enter Wario and Peach, who will be major recurring characters alongside Bowser and Baby Weegee.

I lol'd. I also await the inevitable Blue Shell Joke.
Also, your banner stretches the screen a bit.

I suggest you scrub the pic. quoting pictures is bad for bandwidth and stiff.

What up with the bottom of Warios eye? The half circle thingie, I mean.

New comic! Still experimenting with the blurring in this one.

Giant Banana
http://i44.tinypic.com/ms0pl5.png

Somehow, I feel like I reused this joke somewhere...

P.S:
What up with the bottom of Warios eye? The half circle thingie, I mean.

Those are bags under his eyes. Yeah. For some strange reason, when I was drawing his template, I thought he had purple bags under his eyes. I don't know why I thought that, but he does now. :smalltongue:

Ya, Giant Bananas are a pain.

My combination of drivers is boo with toadette in the silver pipes car. Toadettes golden mushroom and boo's random everyone's special is an awesome combination and the car is really good too.

My experiences are limited to Mario Cart DS XD

New comic! Again, experimenting with blurring, and I think I've gotten it this time. I certainly found a cleaner way of doing it.

Fake Item Box

I actually made this one yesterday, but my internet was down before I was able to post it, which is frustrating.

John Cribati
2010-05-02, 07:23 AM
That's why I always get ready to drop them, then do so immediately after I've picked up another one (This is the DS version, where you can get a new item when you have one hanging at the back of your car).

CrimsonAngel

And there's a major design flaw right there. I like this comic alot.

Ya, the fake item block kind of becomes recognizable after the first two times seeing it.

Green-Shirt Q
2010-05-15, 11:12 AM
Yeah. I suppose this experiment didn't work.

I'm giving this up. Gag-a-strip comics are not my strong suit. I need a story to keep myself interested. This is just far too tedious for me to continue.

I have a few more punchlines to deliever, but also the art is kinda a pain to do as well. I just don't really have the motivation to continue this.

So yeah. Just so you guys know. :smallfrown:

Aw, really? I actually thought this one was better than Smooth Moves... oh well. Ill still continue reading SM, though.
