(Exalted) Beasties?

So, wanting to make a lunar now. But I find the beast selection in the core exalted book to be rather narrow. Where are there more? Am I simply expected to come up with my own creatures/stats? What would be a good totem for a massive bruiser, aside from the obvious choices? Any other tips for a newbie lunar?
