How do wizards gamble? There are so many ways of cheating. Whether its wagering for money, or simply a coin toss to settle a disagreement magicians need a way of making sure the result are fair, unaltered by trickery like telekinetically moving dice, illusions, or direct probability manipulation. Here's what they use:

Randomness
Universal
Level: Brd 0, Sor/Wiz 0
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 10 ft.
Target, Effect, or Area: See text
Duration: 1 hour
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

The randomness spell is either cast on oneself or on an object used to generate random results such as a coin, a pack of cards, a set of dice, etc.

If cast as a personal spell, the caster gains to ability to create tiny transparent illusions floating above their palm. They must specify aloud a specific set of items (such as "numbers", "numbers from one to a hundred", "letters", or a list of images) and then the spell will randomly display one of them. The randomness spell is designed to be very easy to observe and very hard to corrupt, and any attempt to fake the randomness spell with another spell grants an observer a +5 bonus on their spellcraft check to identify it as not truly random.

If cast on an object randomness adds +10 to the DC of sleight of hand checks to falsify random results, and grants observers a +5 bonus to their spellcraft checks to identify magical trickery.
