The large windows with the command chamber of the Green Nova provided a stunning view as the ship hurtled through hyperspace. A ballet of swirling colors and flickering lights performed for anyone who cared to glance out and see them. The command chamber itself was much less beautiful although it was certainly impressive in it's own way as well. Stark grey metal surfaces made up the floor, ceiling, and walls. The only furniture inside were large, cushioned, high backed black chairs that had been sturdily mounted to the floor in front of large computer consoles. More than a dozen humanoids of various species sat in chairs busily pressing at the consoles in front of them and shouting across the room at one another in a flurry of basic. Each of the crewmen wore nearly identical black uniforms trimmed with a stripe of dark green down the chest.

The passenger carrier moved with as much grace as a ship of it's size could manage, but it was force to travel at a speed that would not cause any discomfort for the passengers. Unfortunately speed was quickly becoming a concern for everyone aboard. Still a full three days away from their final destination on Coruscant heightened security had caused the ship to have to drop out of hyperspace regularly for searches by patrol ships.

Passengers were already expressing concern over whether or not they would meet their deadline, almost every one of them having booked passage with the hopes of seeing the Jedi tournament or the special Senate hearing. Ktio Rat, the ship's owner, had personally promised everyone aboard that they would arrive on time. Unfortunately it was now left to the crew to make his promise come true. Less than an hour had passed since they had last been ordered out of hyperspace for a pre-scheduled security check, it had cost them precious time to plot their new course through and several fresh complaints had already been registered with the crew.

Liaknik reclined in one of the many low sitting overstuffed chairs arranged on the dark blue tiled floor of the Lunar Shadow. One of many twenty-four hour bars and restaurants operating aboard the ship it was one of the most relaxed available. The brown robed Wookie happily busied himself draining the mammoth glass perched in his lap of the steaming purple liquid within. The dim lighting within revealed a sparse few seated in similar chairs around round glass topped tables, Service droids quietly worked their way through the room replacing drinks and taking orders while the diners carried on their conversations.

O-Chul sat at one of the tables eating some food. He occasionly glanced around, making sure to keep an eye on beings and what was going on.

[Sakutian]

A small service droid bearing a tray of empty glasses on one outstretched arm stopped next to O-Chul's table and glanced down at him. The droid was made up of metal painted a dark blue and it's eyes glowed a faded orange in the dim lighting.

"Can I get you anything else sir?"

[russdm]

O-chul nods. "Yes. You could get some candy." O-chul says. O-Chul continues eating.

OOC: Using red for him speaking.

[King Tius]

A young Kel Dor padawan enters the bar, wearing the traditional garb of a jedi apprentice. The breathing mask he wears makes a subtle hiss as he breathes and it gives his voice a filtered sound. He approaches the wookie Jedi and nods his head deferentially before taking a seat next to him.

"I have finished my archive readings for the day, Master. If we arrive on time, will you be competing in the tournament?"

[Sakutian]

"Right away sir." The service droid walked away quickly passing the Liaknik who attempted to flag the machine down without success.

Liaknik turned towards his apprentice and began speaking in hushed Shyriiwook, the strange sounds still drew the attention of some of the bar's other patrons though. "I think not my young padawan. The tournament is intended to serve as a means for un-apprenticed younglings to impress potential masters. Still I wouldn't refuse the chance at delivering a little demonstration for their benefit."The last statement was accompanied by a very mischievous smile.

[King Tius]

Dax chuckles at his master's sly comment. "I'm sure you would give them quite a show. I'll try and fetch the droid, Master."

He leans back and flags down a droid.

[Sakutian]

A second droid approached the Jedi's table with such speed that it almost seemed to appear out of thin air. It's toneless voice echoed as it spoke "Yes sir, may I get something for you?"

Liaknik held up his enormous glass offering it the droid with one hand. "Another Solar Eclipse for me and get the boy a large glass of water."

[Imbasel]

Jacen stands at the viewport of the bridge. As he stares into the dark abyss of space he sighs. All of the inspections of the ship was seriously slowing them down. The captain had promised everyone would arrive on time, but that was appearing to become more and more unlikely. Javen thought to himself". As the first officer it is my duty to run this ship to full efficiency. Stopping for all these wretched inspections is not helping."

Jacen turns to the senior navigator and says ". What is the status report of the ship? Also, when is the next inspection?

OOC: sorry for the poor post I'm on vacation and have to post on my iPhone for a week.

[Sakutian]

The young blonde woman sitting at the navigation station glanced over her shoulder at Javen. "All stations are reporting condition green sir, our next inspection isn't for seven hours."

OOC: No problem Imbasel, hope you're enjoying the vacation.

[Imbasel]

Jacen nods crisply and says . ". Thank you.. On his personal comlink he opens a private link to Kito and says ". Captain Kito may I have leave of the bridge? I wish to speak to you."

OOC: May I please have the names and positions of senior crew members? It just makes it easier for me to refer to them by name.

[Sakutian]

The comlink buzzed static for a moment before a sudden burst of noise came through loud and clear. It seemed as though dozens of people had to be screaming into the other end of the comlink to produce such a din.

"That you..."

"You promised you'd dance with me next Kito! You promised!" A decidedly feminine voice cut through Kito rat's like a lightsaber through tissue paper.

"...just a second my dear, work first... is that you Jacen? I Confound it I can barely hear you. If you need to speak to me you have permission to leave the bridge. Arani can handle things. You know the way to my cabin."

Back in the confines of the Lunar Shadow Liaknik turned his attention from waiting on his drink back to the Kel Dor sitting nearby. "You must be getting excited eh? First time in the presence of so many of the order?"

OOC: Yeah sure here they are. There are a few officers running to and from the bridge or busy doing little adjustments that you don't immediately recognize. Too many people on board and too much stress.

Kito's cabin is on the black deck and is actually very close to the command chamber, you can walk there in less than five minutes if you know your way.

[King Tius]

"I am indeed. I especially can't wait to see the Temple again and perhaps meet with Master Plo Koon. I wonder if he has any news from Dorin."

[Sakutian]

"Master Plo Koon will most likely be trapped in dusty chambers suffering through hours of tedium and squabble for much of the tournament. I fear any news he did carry would not be heartening to you Dax. Besides you must turn your thoughts from you world if you are ever to pass your trials. I've told you this more than once." Liaknik's tone was kind but firm as he spoke.

[Imbasel]

Jacen turns to Arani and says . ". You have the bridge Arani. I will be going to the Captains quarters I will be back shortly.". With that Jacen walks to the captains quarters and raps on the door once saying ". Permission to enter Captain? It's Jacen.

[Sakutian]

There is no immediate answer when you knock on the door although you hear a great deal of noise coming through the door quite clearly.

[Imbasel]

Jacen's face turns to one of puzzlement. Usually when he went to the Captains quarters there was an immediate response. With one hand on his hip holster Jacen opens up the door.

[King Tius]

"Yes Master, I know. If I may ask, do you know where the council will be sending us next?"

[Sakutian]

Immediately upon opening the door you discover the source of the noise from inside as the volume becomes deafening. Kito Rat's cabin, which you know to be the largest and most expensively furnished one on board, is in a state of utter disarray. More than two dozen men and women of various species are packed into the large central chamber of the cabin, all of the plush dark colored furniture has been pushed up against the walls. Any available space is filled by people eating, drinking, sitting, dancing, and more than one person lays slumped on the floor clearly unconscious. A haze of putrid smelling smoke hangs in the air but no one else seems to notice it's presence. The lights have been dimmed to almost total darkness.

In the bright light shining through the now open doorway you can Kito Rat is busily dancing with two human females nearby and has taken no notice of you.

"What makes you so certain that we aren't already precisely where the Council wishes us to be my young friend?"

[Imbasel]

Jacen moves his hands away from his holster and shakes his head. Threading his way into and out of the crowd he stops before Captain Kito giving him an admiring look at him with two lovely ladies. He coughs slighty and says . ". My lovely ladies, may I steal the Captain away from you, for but a moment? Captain I need to speak to you privately if you could please, sir

OOC: I will be doing two persuasion roll the first to make it so the ladies aren't upset. The second is to drag the Captain away from the ladies.

[King Tius]

The Kel Dor smiles at his Master's coy remark, though it is hard to tell under the mask. "I'm sorry, Master. I didn't realize that Cantina guarding was so important to the Council." The young padawan's sly remark is not meant to offend, merely to be playful (I figure this could be standard banter. Correct me if I'm wrong).

The young padawan accepts the glass of water from the droid when it returns and asks it for a straw, pointing to his breath mask if it inquires.

[Sakutian]

"Never underestimate the value of a good Cantina Dax. Besides which this Cantina isn't the only thing we're guarding on this voyage." Liaknik accepts his new drink from the droid as it hands a straw to the Kel Dor before bowing away from the Jedi's table. His master took a long drink draining a substantial amount of his beverage before wiping his hairy face on hi sleeve and sighing contentedly.

Kito and the women all notice Jacen at once, you can smell the alcohol on their breath. Both girls smile and peel themselves away from Kito clinging to Jacen instead.

"We don't mind cutie."

"Ladies excuse us, we'll be just a moment." Kito pulls Jacen free of the women hastily glancing at his first officer with an displeased expression before pulling across the room and out into the hallway. The women wave animatedly as they leave and shout something that is blurred by the many other voices. Once they are both through the door Kito shuts the door to his quarters and leans against the nearest wall running his hand over his face.

"Alright Jacen be quick what's so damned important?"

[Imbasel]

Jacen groans mentally at the Captains words ". Figures the Captain would be in a bad mood when I came. He's probably drunk right now, oh well."

Jacen looks at the Captain and says in a crisp voice ". Captain as you very well know it's looking more unlikely we will arrive on time. I'm here to ask permission to do one of two things. Ideally I want to arrive on time, but with app these inspections that is not likely. I want permission from you sir to try and talk my way past the secruity checks, to save some time. If not sir would you have a faster way of getting to Courascanr from your more..... dubious days?"

Kito groaned and pushed himself away from the wall on unsteady feet. "Damned inspections. You can try and talk your way through, bribe them if you have to. We can't miss this deadline Jacen under any circumstances though, I don't care if you have to get out and push the ship. As for your second question there are routes we could take but if we try to use them it's just as likely we'll be blown part by overzealous security."

OOC: Yeah you are quite persuasive.

[Imbasel]

Jacen nods at the Captain and says ". Thank you sir. I'm sorry I had to take you away from your lovely ladies. Let me help you back.". With that Jacen will help the Captain steady himself to his feet. With that he drops the Captain off to the ladies saying to them ". I know you ladies will have a lovely time with the Captain here. If you stick around him I'm sure you'll be in for a big surprise."

Jacen walks back to the bridge and says ". I will take the bridge Arani. Are there any updates since I was gone?"

[Sakutian]

Garn stands from his station and approaches Jacen as soon as the first officer reappears. He walks with a severe limp and his voice is a harsh scratching sound. "We've got a security issue escalating quickly in the Casino area sir."

[Imbasel]

Jacen frowns and says ". What's the situation Garn?"

[Sakutian]

"One of the guests has run up quite a debt and now they're refusing to give him anymore credit to gamble. He's been causing trouble and security was called to escort him to his room. His bodyguards trashed them."

[Imbasel]

Jacen sighs and turns to the communications officer saying ". Get a med team down to our guards, send them with a secruity guard in case they run into more trouble. Garn where is the man now?"

[Sakutian]

"He's holed up wit his bodyguards in his room, I've gotten reports that they're all armed."

[Imbasel]

Jacen sighs and says ". All right here's what we are going to do. We are going lock off that corridor so he can't escape. Next let's get a few guards on standby waiting outside the corridor or whoever we cam get. Also, somebody find out the comm number for the Jedi on the ship. Or try and find his Padawans. I will lead the team to the mans room, hopefully this is am open and shut situation. Also I want all the information about this guy as Im walking there, I'll keep my comm live. Any questions or suggestions officer Garn?"

OOC: My request for help outside of my characters knowledge will hopefully be the fellow pc's. Also I'm off to Disneyland so posting from me is going to be slow the rest of the day. I'll check a few times when I can sorry for the inconvience, that's why I tried to post as much as I could this morning.

[Sakutian]

"Already got the corridor locked down sir, I'd advise we send the droids in ahead of flesh and blood security. They only pulled out pea shooters in the Casino but there's no way of telling what they might have in that room with them." While Garn discussed the best way to handle the situation the Communications Officer was busily sending out a request for aid.

Liaknik's comm beeped in a high pitched tone within his robe, the Jedi took the device out and handed it to Dax distastefully. "See who that is Dax."

OOC: No worries I'm not trying to set a breakneck speed at the moment, a couple of our players are unable to post.

[King Tius]

Dax nods to his master and takes the comm. "This is Daxar Wynn."

[Sakutian]

An extremely high voice comes through in response to Dax. "Hello is this the Jedi? Is he there? The first officer is requesting his assistance with a security matter."

[King Tius]

Dax turns towards his Master and relays the message. "It seems the first officer requests your assistance."

Dax speaks into the comm again. "Where is the first officer?"

[Sakutian]

The Communications Officer quickly explains the situation and gives you directions on how to arrive at the guest's room. "He's already injured several security officers and we'd like to avoid any further bloodshed."

Liaknik plucked the comm from Dax and spoke through his translator in a computerized tone, the only way he could speak Basic. "We're on our way." He put the comm back inside of his robe and rose from his seat with more grace than a creature his size would have been credited. "Dax did you bring your lightsaber?"

[King Tius]

"Always. Just like Master Yoda taught us." Dax rises and waits obediently to follow his master out.

O-Chul eats his food. (does he notice the jedi getting contacted?) He sits patiently.

[Sakutian]

OOC: O-Chul can notice the Jedi leaving if that's what you'd like to have happen.

I'm delaying posting anymore for a little while since only three people have really been posting up until now. I really don't want to leave people in the dust.

Hish
The music blaring from the upper levels was distracting. Against all odds Hish had managed to bargain his way into a small cramped spot in one of the many maintenance tunnels. They looked as though they weren't traveled in often, and they were made for smaller creatures than he. There were a few dim lights scattered periodically down the side of the hallway, but it was barely enough to see. He sat scrunched up in a corner still in his armor and still exhausted. He fiddled with the edge of his axe idly for something to do.

The sound flooding down from the upper levels of the ship was carried through the many pipes, and it was hard to sleep with such noise. He couldn't even make anything out, it all scrambled into this loud hurricane blast of sound. To top it all off he hadn't eaten in a week since he managed to get to Mandalore. One good thing was the fact that no one had come to peek on him, and he was pretty sure he was forgotten at this point.

O-chul follows discreetly behind the Jedi, wanting to see if they are as skilled as he has been told.

[Edwin]

Hidden beneath his heavy, grey cloak, IG-100 walks through the inferno of swirling lights from the machines that fills the casino, making his way to the source of the ruckus. Seeing the wounded security guards hauling themselves off to the medical ward, he pulls out his staff, clicks upon his communicator, and starts reporting in a mechanical, slightly cheery voice.

IG-100 Casino Guard reporting for duty at the casino floor -apprehend the security threat. Confirm order?

[Sakutian]

Security Officer Garn's voice responds through IG-100's communicator after a moment. "Orders are confirmed IG-100. You are to proceed to the threat's cabin and assist in his apprehension in whatever way possible. Be aware we have a security team on route being lead by Officer Jacen as well as two Jedi. Civilian casualties are not acceptable. Move with extreme caution."

Lianknik and Dax arrive on the scene after quickly making their way through the Green Nova's many twisting corridors to the cabin. They are the first to arrive on scene. The corridor they've arrived at is in utter darkness, the overhead lights spark occasionally revealing shattered glass on the floor, most likely someone has blown out all of the lights with a blaster. Liaknik takes out his lightsaber and ignites it bathing the dark hallway in it's yellow glow. Several doors to cabins can be seen, all firmly shut except for one. Loud speech can be heard echoing down the hall through the only open doorway.

"Move with caution Dax."

OOC: Imbasel your security team is going to be made up of three security droids.

Clanking, IG-100 breaks into running speed, maneuvering past the guests and service droids. Moving quickly towards the cabin, loudly requesting the gamblers and other none-personnel to return to their daily business, he hauls past the the dark corridors, until he spots the ignited lightsaber of what he assumes to be a jedi.

Almost coming to a halt, bathed in the yellow light, he continues past the jedi, noticing that both of them are present, in a firm, yet inviting pace.

Going to apprehend perpetrators. Assist at your volition.

O-Chul continues to follow the Jedi along. This should be fun...

[Imbasel]

Jacen walks along the hallways slowly his footsteps almost silent as his soft, leather boots strike the floor. The 3 secruity droids following him glare at all who walk by and their blasters are at the ready. He opens his comm to the bridge and says ". What's the situation in the hallway. What do we still have control of there. Also, can you remote unlock the door upon my command."

Jacen walks to the corridor and sees the Jedi and his padawan among others ". My name is Jacen and I am the first officer on the ship. First thank you for coming here hopefully the sight of the famed Jedi knights, will stop this man. Here's the situation the man was losing credits gambling and we refused to issue him any more credit. He started to become violent and we sent guards to escort him to his room. He attacked the guards along with his bodyguards and is now holed up in the room. I would like it if you Jedi here could sense how many men there are and their locations. If we can't talk to them then we will have to go into the room and force them out. I would also prefer not to kill them as that just complicates things."

[Edwin]

Reeling in his feet and backtracking a couple of steps upon hearing his superiors voice, IG-100 turns in place, his eye changing from the officer to the damp hallway.

Permission to forego attempts at diplomatic solution, due to the clearly irrational nature of the offender - recommended solution would be to penetrate the room perimeter and subdue all resistance with none-deadly force as much as possible.

Scouting about the hallway, IG-100 takes a couple of lunging motions closer to the door.

Shall I execute, Officer Jacen?

Would be nice if I could get a specific distinction of your rank, rather than first officer. Sounds junk to say that.

Of course, that may be the correct term. I'm not much of a navy man. :smallbiggrin:

[King Tius]

Daxar ignites his lightsaber, casting a blue tint to mix with his master's yellow, making much of the hallway appear green. He listens to Jacen and waits for his master's instruction, knowing better than to rush into a dangerous situation like this without his master's bidding.

[Sakutian]

Officer Garn's voice comes through the open comm once more. "We've got that hall sealed down tight sir, the door is open according to my readings. Thermal scan reads three humanoids in the room, I'm guessing those will be our trouble maker and his bodyguards."

[Imbasel]

Jacen says " Thank you officer Garn, comm out, keep me informed of any changes." Jacen turns to the two jedi and then says " Here is my plan we send in you two first, along with the guard droids. You flank me, and I try to talk to them since I would like to see if that works, unless they open fire. IG-100 you cannot execute as of yet, but if I give the command or if they fire, respond with maximum non-lethal force. What do you guys think of the plan. I do not know all of your abilities so knowing more, could aid."

Jacen casually flips his heavy blaster to stun ready to rumble.

[Edwin]

Swinging his staff, IG-100 turns to stand at attention, his cloak heavily enveloping his entire chassis. Looking at the corridor leading to the barred up men, his voice communicator scrambles a bit.

Yes sir.

O-Chul continues to follow the Jedi around to see how they are. He keeps himself discreet but is willing to get involved if he feels it could be worth it.
