Keep, since we're probably attacking that first.

Leaving most of his gear behind, Zasz throws a brief glance to his horde allies before slipping into the shadows and stalking quietly towards the distant keep on the horizon.

Zasz nods to himself and scurries closer to the keep, staying off the beaten path. His reptilian yellow eyes scan the keep's ramparts and gate(s), looking for possible entry points or sentry posts.

you close in keep surprisingly not seen.

The main gate is at south side. The keep is surrounded by 20 ft wide moat. The keep seem manned and guards are posted in towers and on ramparts.
How do you wish to proceed?

How many towers are there? How many guards? After finding out, I'll search the surrounding hills for good defensible positions where artillery might be able to be set up, or spots of soft earth or rock.

After finding out, I'll search the surrounding hills for good defensible positions where artillery might be able to be set up, or spots of soft earth or rock.The keep is aprox 120ft x 120 ft. there are two towers. one in each of the southern corners. guards you can are there, but not how many. there is properly walking a dozen around on the walls right now. The surroundings: Plain terrain all away around, pretty much. Some naturals curves but else no hills.

Zasz will slowly circle around the entire keep, looking for other structures of note, gates, thing inside the keep, or even cracked patches of wall that might be weak.

Zasz notices a lot of the guards are war forged. no cracks though. At the northern end of the keep some buildings can be seen. They are not towers, but tall

Zasz nods to himself slowly and hurries back to camp, having formulated a report in his mind:

120ft square
20ft moat
1 entrance, heavily guarded
At least a dozen guards, many of them Warforged
2 towers on the southern wall

Last sound Zasz hears is a cranky sound. Like something heavy that rolls. The noise soon stops though. You may return or seek out the larger stronghold.

Oh, yeah. I had assumed the stronghold was much farther away, but if it's within reasonable traveling distance, sure, I'll go check it out.

As he hears the crackling sound, Meekis pauses, [roll0] intently.

A couple of more rolling noises are coming from the keep. Their there, and then their are gone. Have it not been for the quiet night, Zasz would not have noticed it.

Oh well. It is harder to reach, there is no natural entrance beside the main gate posting map. Across the walls you spot some dwarven soldiers bearing holy symbols praying for their gods. You hear some deep bumbing sounds from within the stronghold. Some massive is... walking around in there. that is all.
