After many years of nomadic living, your tribe has settled onto a large mountain. There are only a few small lakes, but there are many natural caves. The rocky land isn't very fertile, though some plants can be seen growing. There is much easy game on the mountain, and below the mountain is a large desert.

(Events)
1: Your people have asked you to be the leader of this village, and as such they want a name for it.
2: Your people have begun settling within the caves, but some have shown signs of something else dwelling within. Your people have requested something to defend themselves.
3: Your people request that tools be made for hunting.

I'll try and go more in that theme from now on.
Clarification questions
1. What season is it currently? How harsh are the winters (or would the tribe know)?
2. Is there a cave or series of caves capable of holding the entire tribe, with space remaining?
3. How much lumber is available locally?
4. How many dwarves are in the village currently?

1: Early Spring, the tribe is unsure how further seasons will turn out.
2: The caves seem quite expansive, though the dwarves have not investigated far into them.
3: There is a good amount of trees on the mountain.
4: It's a fairly large tribe, about 50 or so.
