Look again; They are motivational recruitment posters.

That's not a Tie Pilot at all, it's a glamour model, a pin-up. The 'Snow Trooper' just happens to have a more revealing costume for that photoshoot.
Everybody knows the Emperor is an alien hating misogynist, there's no girls in the imperial army. :smallwink:

Still, does wonders for recruitment!

It works on the most basic recruitment psychology.

Go to ExoTic LocAles and defend the Imperial Domain !!!

When you need some disposable 18 year old boys with more balls than brains, go with what works.

Yeah, I was at boot camp two days after HS graduation.

Actually there are a few (very few). But they are kept down with sexism and bigotry, just as much as a non-human would be. there are some ways to get ahead, but it requires some *ahem* different tactics.

That last one's a repeat and I'm glad you did.

It's cold in deep space? :smalltongue:
Depends on how you define cold, actually. The definition of temperature (which is basically how much particles in a given volume are moving) becomes really wonky when you're dealing with volumes that may have extremely few, if any, particles in them at all.

But at the same time, you'll only lose heat very slowly because there's no particles to transfer energy to. Heat generally transfers one of three ways: conduction (hot thing touches a cold thing), convection (something to do with air moving heat from one place to another, I forget the specifics), and radiation (literally losing heat because you emit energetic particles that take some heat with them - photons, primarily, from what I understand). Without any other matter touching you, conduction and convection are out, leaving only radiation, and that just causes you to lose heat really slowly.

So even if space is cold, you won't lose heat and won't feel cold, at least not at an appreciable rate. Cosmic rays will fry you long before that becomes a serious issue. Of course, without air, you'll be dead even before that.

(lack of pressure is similar to lack of heat in that it is often incorrectly assumed to be more serious than it is - being in a vacuum does extremely uncomfortable - read, excruciating, if it happens quickly enough - things to you, but it won't generally kill you)

And you won't find them in most of the Stormtrooper Corps anyways, since the Corps is still mostly made up of clones (though after the Kaminoan Revolt, most aren't Fett clones anymore), even if they don't realize they're cloned. And the Emperor is a misogynistic xenophobic brat, so the only beings he'd allow as prime clones were human males.

Looks like leaves on a solid background. Where as realtree makes you look like a bunch of trees (http://www.google.com/images?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=s&hl=en&q=realtree+camouflage&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=FUJ1TNrqOMOLOIPavKgG&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCkQsAQwAA&biw=1440&bih=715).

Ok after browsing those, I’ve seen camouflage put on a lot of weird things. Drapes are an example, or furniture, that's a good one too. But then I guess if you have camouflage furniture, you'd need drapes to match huh). still I find that those camouflage bikinis crack me up.

Alternatively, there was no explaination of it, and he was thrown off because of his deformity.

Actually, the version I was thinking about was Zeus throwing him off Mt. Olympus because Hephaestus was born so ugly - that could have been the fault of incest.

The only thing is, it's really weird because I know that the Greek Gods didn't care about incest. (It's also weird that I recall the myth being Zeus as the one who tossed his son off the mountain, not Hera.)

Also - picture of "Serp" is... very good. Very, very good.

They widened the gene pool after the incident on Kamino. And sometime after that abandoned cloning altogether and just recruited.

And sometime after that abandoned cloning altogether and just recruited.
The Emperor continued cloning troops in secret even up to Endor, but the facilities' locations died with him, and thanks to his revised cloning standards, most of the clones didn't realize what they were. After Endor, most remaining warlords used natural-birthed troops (as far as they knew), with the exception of Thrawn during his brilliant attempt at crushing the New Republic, since he was just that brilliant. And had access to the cloning facility secreted away on Wayland.

She's holding it like a baseball bat. Almost certainly that's how the model held it, too. And though it's not the best way to wield a sword, I'm sure, I'd also be surprised if it was the worst.

It looks that way at first, but the palms of her hands are perpendicular to each other, so that the knuckles line up. Try holding a baseball bat like that. You can't do anything with it, except maybe hit yourself in the face. In fact, pretty much all that grip is good for is holding the blade up in the position drawn. Now take a natural grip (http://www.golfersavenue.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/baseball-grip.jpg). Note how the palms seem to face each other, the wrists are together, and the knuckles are on opposite sides of the club (or blade). To put it another way, her grip with the sword is like if you took a golf grip and rotated one hand out ninety degrees.

But hey, whatever it takes to get a good visual on the sword, right [whoever drew the picture]? :smallsigh: Actually, that doesn't make sense either, because the sword's angle is fine; what's off is the right-hand grip. So really, I have no idea why that happened.

Also, me losing my grapes:
Look up Ollam from Complete Adventurer, and Battlesmith from Races of Stone. I am disappoint, WotC. If you're into dwarven women, be preapred to be delighted and also upset.

And, to make up for my grape loss:

It's the facial structure I really like, frankly, and the angular lines and the slightly alien look and the shading and...

Also, the detective's arms aren't even vaguely aligned with her shoulders. Near as I can tell, the arms belong to a second person, possibly a midget, who is hiding under her coat. The detective's own arms are out of sight in the trenchcoat sleeves. (Or she lost them in an accident, which is why she hires a midget to hide under her coat and carry her gun and her cigarette for her.) :smallconfused:

Sorry, Fax; not meaning to poke fun at an artist you like. The faces are really expressive, and I could easily see cropping just that part of each picture to use as a character portrait. But the strange anatomy is...well, strange...and looks to me like a mistake rather than an artistic choice.

Huh. When I saw that picture, I assumed her shoulders were much lower than the shoulders of the coat, hunched down but the stiff material kinda supported off her neck, not drooping along the shoulderline because of the thickness or something. The anatomy still a little off when looking at it like that, but not too bad.
Now I can't see it like that anymore.:smallfrown:

She's honestly not using the stick, she's using Infernal Sorceror Howl to burn a spell slot for a 30 foot cone of sonic at 2d6 per slot level.

Lack of understanding anatomy? Alas, I can't show you this guy's best examples, but I can't help but think he's never seen a female body between the navel and knees. Can't link his page, but his name's lvl9Drow - if you're not over 18 and signed in, you probably won't be able to see much of his stuff.
SFW example, SFW example... I guess this is the closest: http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs50/i/2009/264/7/9/Cambion_by_lvl9Drow.jpgI might even take one of his better examples and blank out the naughty bits, just to show it.

Try to make her stand in that pose.
Compare.

edit: Note, my concern is not particularly with the pose itself. While it is a very awkward one, my point is more that even if you get someone standing that way, it will not look anything like that, not without several dislocated joints and organ misplacement.

Okay. A few points:

Have you ever seen anyone with:
-a midsection as wide as their thighs?
-with what I think are supposed to be hip bones reaching halfway up the torso?
-with such strangely twisted thighs?
-knees which are about as wide as their ankles?

Though I must admit, I've seen worse artwork.

Oh, for... Seriously, guys? I go scrabbling for a good idea of this guy's female anatomy that doesn't have vaginas thrown to the four winds and it turns out the only such example happens to be a goat-footed bat-winged demoness but who obviously works for what I was going for for his non-goat-footed, no-winged non-demoness pieces, and you start quibbling about how it can't be a bad example of female anatomy because she happens to be a goat-footed bat-winged demoness?! :smallfurious: Argh!
I even specifically said that it was the area between the navel and the knees that he is clueless about. Can you at least try to ignore the whole goat-footed bat-wingedness to focus on the bit I was actually talking about?!

Alright then!
1. Where are her organs?
2. Where are her lower ribs?
3. How often have you ever seen ribs go into waist anything at all like that?
4. Where, exactly, is the top of her pelvis?
5. What are those extra lumps towards her rump? Bone, or what? Or is that her pelvis and are the other lumps just belly or something?
6. Where are her hip bones?
7. Where do they attach to the pelvis?
8. Why is one of her legs apparently perpendicular to the other?
9. Does each leg attach to a different part of the pelvis?
10. Why are her thighs so skinny?
11. What is wrong with her knees?
12. Where does her spine go?
13. Exactly what direction does her vajay-jay point, and is it actually in the centre of her body?

I think that should do to start you off. Unfortunately, number 13 is a big part of what is so wrong about his art, but I can't really show how here. But, for good measure, I'll try to find another - non-winged, non-goat-footed - sample to bikini up.
For the record, I actually like this artist. I just wish he didn't make his women so hideous in their midsection.

Ngarg ngarg ngarg.

In other words, guys, contrary to what the media might tell you, women are not space aliens. Except for a few differences (the chest, "down there," more neotenous appearance in general, etc.), a healthy woman's anatomy is rather close to a healthy man's. Especially compared to that atrocity.
