The real reason is because it's more fun to draw a bag with coins falling out than just a bag. But the first image is clearly the thieves making a mocking statement, as the bag is held securely; the second is clearly carelessness.

It is a little hard to tell that she’s stepping forward. But I see it now. I see what you’re looking at and it looks like the artist forgot how many ribs humans have. It also looks like her back might be arched a bit, which could explain the weird abdomen.

Also if she’s taking a step forward with her left foot, shouldn’t her body be twisted slightly to the right (our left, her right)? As opposed to the left (her left, our right), as if you know, her body is moving forward on that leg.

The first one has some of the coolest equipment ever -- I just spent ten minutes catching all the little mechanical details on that backpack steam engine, the wings (for steering, not propulsion, to judge from the jet nozzle on the backpack) the great brass headset and goggles...and that steampunk bubble pipe is brilliant.

The lady herself seems a little too perfectly groomed for a gearhead. Impeccable makeup, clean skin, not a hair out of place...she doesn't look like she's been digging through the guts of that steam engine with a wrench and an attitude, cursing at it till everything falls into place. It almost works, because the machines themselves are so elegantly designed...but even then, no. It's like a brilliant actress cast for the utterly wrong role.


The second girl has fewer cool toys, but an awesome artificer's attitude. If she wants to convert a lawnmower into a helicopter, it might as well give up and start flying, because she's not gonna quit until it does.

I think I figured out that part of what was wrong with that picture was that the upper body is too big for the waist. If it was shrunk down so the shoulders were about where the breasts are, it'd look somewhat better.

As said in the male pictures thread, it apparently wasn't such a good idea to split the picture threads by gender. The other one gets barely used, though we did occasionally have some very good male pictures before there was a separate thread for them.
I think it would probably best to make the next thread for both male and female pictures, there's really no reason to separate them.

Technically, Quiche is a french word, but point made. I can understand how you'd get confused. English is a language of many multiple vast lots of redundancies.
