Just thought I'd continue this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6409476#post6409476).
Probably the one change I'd make is apply an additional -1 penalty to caster level for unpredictability, that way the odds of not get a negative aren't less then the odds of something un-penalizing happening.
Also maybe conjuration spells should be one level higher for the black mage - making 9th level conjurations for the wizard out of the question for BM.
