[4ed] Invoker|??? Hybrid optimization

Blarg, I'm trying to come up with a controller for my playtesting, and I'm hoping for a hybrid character to test out the hybrid mechanics and how effective it is/isn't.

So far, I've made a party consisting of the following

Barbarian, (will multi-class to fighter)
Warlord|Bard
Battlemind (thinking of staying pure Battlemind)

suggestions/questions?

A reasonable controller hybrid is Wizard | Swordmage. On the other hand, in terms of pure control, plain Wizard blows it straight out of the water.

And those stats you rolled are very, very good. 50-point buy where the normal score is 22? Wow.

Well, its the same system of rolling like my 3.5 campaign, 4d6, keep 1's & 2's
e.g. 5, 5, 6, 2 = 18, (don't knock the lowest off because its a 2)
