Is it possible to do without a stunt? I'm using a powerbow, if that makes a difference.

Not without a stunt, but getting a 1-die stunt is trivial with most STs (unless you're currently brain-dead from too much work or something), so it's a moot point.

You can parry with anything with a stunt. Without a stunt, if it has no defense rating, no-go.
