Edit: Thanks Ancalagon, HIT LINK TO VOTE! http://topwebcomics.com/vote/7307/default.aspx

Remember when Rich made us all those extra comics so that OotS would hit the top of the rankings list? No? Well here they are:

http://www.giantitp.com/comics/Incentives.html

Buzzcomix has since gone down and has been largely replaced by:

http://topwebcomics.com/

Voting requires no registration, and I'll be damned if I see it lying in a measly #60th

So lets all do the Giant a favor and get the best webcomic to the top.

Hum... why not link to Vote! (http://topwebcomics.com/vote/7307/default.aspx) right away? ;)

He really doesn't care, I don't think. Before he made all those incentives to get him to the top. Then, he just didn't care about being there, so he stopped making incentives.

(I got that right, right?)

But you can vote if want, nothing's stopping you.

Yeah, but I assume he is also very busy right now, and it's not like he has his own secret marketing department. Since he makes a living out of this, even getting 1 more fan is worth it :smallcool:

It doesn't really seem fair, since that site is for ameteur webcomics trying to get more fans.

All webcomics but like a dozen or so are amateur. And goblinscomic.com (usually at #1 or #2) also isn't quite amateur anymore. A beginner who still "tries to will never get the top spots anyway... and some comic is at 54 or 55 due to OotS getting voted up makes no difference at all). So I'm not seeing the problem.

For what it's worth I voted. But seeing as how you can vote 1/day/computer, and other comics likely have a fair few people voting for themselves, combined with Rich probably not being overly concerned by it, makes me think this is an exercise in futility.

But I voted nonetheless because OotS is freakin' awesome.

Yeah, when Rich tried to win, he won. Now he doesn't really try to win anymore. That OOTS is awesome is pretty well established now.

Incidentally, am I imagining things or have you had about 20 different avatars in the past week? I only recently stopped changing mine, and people still ask me what happened to Deadpool.

A lot of people gave their time and effort to make these avatars (mostly for various theme weeks), I think it's only fair I showcase them all. Admittedly I've been changing them more rapidly lately, no real reason.

Plus they're just plain awesome

Hmmm......
Seems it rose to 51th. Looks like the power of advertisement works.

I voted, and we're up to #50! Though to be fair I also vote for the comic that's in the #1 spot now for a while... these are my 2 favorite comics on the web.

Also, even if Rich doesn't care about his position on such things, that doesn't mean that we, his loving readers, can't take the initiative and vote him up out of our devotion for the comic.

Lots of comics offer incentives, and he doesn't exactly update the previews often or on a set schedule. He's had the same one for weeks.

"OotS on TopWebComics" ...Doesn't matter. Seriously.

It's just a scheme for ad revenue anyway, but more importantly hardly anyone clicks through those.

Rich did the same with these. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/Incentives.html) It's not cheating, people are more likely vote for you if they get something out of it.
