This is going to seem like an odd request, but is there a generator that allows you to input a maximum-number and get a resulting die amount? How about over 10 levels? over 20 levels?

Example:

10. That would be 1d10 or 2d4+2. Over 10 levels it'd be 1/level. Over 20 levels it'd be 1/2 levels.

50. That'd be 2d20+10, over 10 levels that'd be 1d4+1/level. Over 20 it'd be 1d8+2/5 levels or 1d20+5/10 levels.

Anyone else confused by this? pretty much it'd be a reverse dice-roll generator.
Maybe a table with all the possibilities of the powers of 5 or 10? is someone that nerdy?

(forgive my numbers if they're off. Math was never my strongest suit)

Biggest problem is probably the fact that you have huge numbers of possible solutions. 50 could be 2d20+10.or 10d4+10, or 5d4+30, or 1d6+44. The possibilities are endless.

No, I understand what he means, although the implementation would be difficult. It is double the maximum standard, plus one half. So 2d20+10, 10 is half the maximum of a D20. So It is basicly the maximum rollable amount +1/4. Or so it seems. 2d20+10, 2d12+6 2d10+5, 2d8+4, 2d6+3, 2d4+2 etc.

Yeah, exactly! I think!
