A Western Lemurian Port City:
Welcome to the Imperial class cruiser known as the 'Black Tornado'. Swirled red and black sails are the trademark of this very modern sailing ship. An Imperial cruiser is a fast sailing ship, and often used by pirates, merchants, and even the navy... though this one is said to be the fastest of them all. Captain Allie Alandra, the young woman who is majority owner of this ship, was gifted it by her mother. Currently, the original crew secretly believes that she is not in her right mind; and is likely influenced by the 3 wizard-admirals living on the ship. These three are a 'gift' from imperial wizards... those nosy watchdogs of the empire.

The sides of this standard cruiser, have been painted black, and has artistic red swirls everywhere. Allie continually repaints and repairs the ship with an on-ship painter (also a professional artist-- Zhako).

Many new faces are seen onboard this morning, as you prepare to leave the high magic port city. The blood red hair of the captain is unmistakable.
This young woman's cocky swagger betrays her skill and confidence in her 2 sabres that dangle at her side. She wears an expensive tailored suit of black studded leather at least masterwork in quality.
Her hair is very deep red, with a tan complexion. Her jeweled green eyes betray the hint of noble family from which she descends.

She stands looking down from the command deck with the black-robed wizard-admirals standing behind her. Those of you that saw Zhako's earlier art piece of the crew and deck will remember the wizard-admiral's placement exactly. None of them saw the piece of art and it is now stashed below decks. The four top officers peer over the new crew as much as they do the original crew.

Indiga hired a bunch of specialists via work unions, including two pretty priestesses. Both were hooded, and were given officer rooms near the captain. Among many new faces was a professional navigator named Yondrick. Yondrick used to be a wizard-admiral, but apparently was released due to disagreements and insubordination. Indiga thought he might be a good specialist on these wizard-admirals.... even if hard-headed.

The lower regions of the ship (rear Hold) are arranged so that 'specialists' are separated from the crew's main bunk-room and into small sleeping chambers, enough for gear, and a small padded bunk to stretch out on. Your things should be safe here.
Two particularly well respected new figures onboard will be given rooms down here. The handsome Admiral Rockfire with sparkly green eyes and neat short cut brown hair, much some people's surprise, will greet Arha and Olrik, and apologize for the cramped quarters. He will look at Baka and Indiga and explain, as he tries to take and kiss Arha's hand. "I am Thrace. Thrace Rockfire. Welcome to the Black Tornado. The other officer's quarters are taken. And we can't deny our ship healers." He gives a cheesy smile to the hooded priestess who are being shown the way to their shared room.
Everyone can tell by Arha and Olrik's treatment that they mean something special to the top wizard-admiral. Rear Admiral Rockfire eyes also reveal he is already planning on how to get into Arha's panties. "It is an honor to have such distinguished guests among us. Lady Arha and Lord Olrik have already made a name for themselves fighting Voidites. It will be a pleasure to serve with you both." He gives a respectful nod toward Olrik, but his eyes and attention will quickly go to Arha.

At this point of the embarkment he will attempt to lure and recruit the wizardess into his 'cabal' in the Captain's chamber. The other two pretty ladies with colorful hair seem to agree with lusty inviting eyes. The three wizard-admirals will leave Allie with the crew... a rare moment indeed since they showed up. Allie will continue to look blankly over the crew. Likely Indiga will be in the moment of getting the ship to embark.

Baka and Indiga the Hadozee stay near the Captain's quarters in their own special separate room in the main cabin. Their rooms are the first doors on the left and right into the Captain's Cabin. The other two rooms closest to the Captain's door will be the priestesses' rooms for now.

All ranks are free to associate with one another on Allie's ship. Something that Arha and Olrik notice different from most imperial ships they had been on. The crew and cook, are very busy, and for the most part will go about their business on the ship. Olrik and Arha, nor any of the other new mercenaries will even see Calli. This hobbit will be assumed to have stayed at the Port with Tolm. Those in the know, know otherwise. :smallwink:

Some of the new enlisted men had been on the ship for days, and these mostly Lemurian men were already working well under Indiga's orders.

Olrik walks along the ships deck mingling amongst the crew. He has tanned skin covered in many places with tattoos, particularly upon his scalp which is mostly shaven. He has a small moustache and goatee and a tanned skin tone. He wears a long green robe and matching cloak but this is clearly not for fashion so much as functionality as his entire appearance is fairly scruffy. His precise age is hard to tell as his features are a mix of both old and young. The most bizare feature about him is a third eye (currently closed) upon his forehead but anyone with a basic knowledge of Psionics would recognise this as a simple Psionic item not disimilar to a headband.

Walking along with a quaterstaff in hand he looks up at the captain and the admirals and smiles briefly nodding his head before moving across to Rockfire and whispering a few words to him with a grin on his face "Lord, Admiral?"

Arha

Arha is wearing sailor-ish type clothing, she went shopping in the city and picked out some likely clothing. It’s low cut in front and shows enough to tantalize anyone who leans that way. She has dark red hair that goes just past her shoulders and she has green eyes and pale skin. She wears several gold and silver bracelets on one slim wrist that jingle when she saunters on board. It should be obvious to the professional sailors that she isn’t the kind of woman to be climbing on the rigging and she doesn’t know a whole lot about sailing. She’s wearing spell component pouches and only one of her daggers is visible. There are half healed scars on her lower and upper arms and they look like they were made with a dagger or other sharp implement.

She looks around at everyone and smiles as she is introduced. Thrace is allowed to kiss her hand, but he won’t be getting much else without giving up a lot in return and she certainly isn’t interested in sharing with the other two (since the priestess with the ribbons, she hasn’t been to fond of cleric types). She gently takes back her hand and runs it through her long hair as she gauges the rest of the crew. “It’s a pleasure to be here and I’m sure the voyage will be pleasant.” As pleasant as it can be on a ship with so many others… She glances up at Allie and the wizards before looking back at the Admiral. “If you have no objections, I’d like to get settled into my own cabin?” Making it clear that his wish won’t be granted today or tonight.

Once settled, she’ll wander throughout the ship (except the bilge, ew) and learn her way around. She’ll smile and wave at her new crewmates, but she'll keep out of their way as they work. If they want to chat, she'll pause and get to know them better.

For once, maybe the first time, her familiar makes her presence known. Arha’s hawk stoops and lands somewhere out of reach of everyone on the highest rigging.

As Arha is searching the ship, except for the bilge, a pair of green eyes will watch her as she enters the cargo deck.

The young halfling rogue will stay hidden, believing this woman to be one of the wizards hirelings searching for her and the Sceptre of Green Dragons.

Her once long brown hair has been cut short. Her lithe body covered in newly oiled leather armor. Hiding in a dark corner, she keeps her hand on the hilt of her dagger, in case she needs to defend herself against this unwelcome guest.

Arha

Arha is probably blissfully unaware of the green eyes watching her from a hiding place. She has a low to nonexistent spot check and she isn't really looking for anyone, more just looking around, learning the layout so she can get around. Soon enough, she's tired of the dark and probably smelly areas underneath and she will head back up and find a place to lounge on the deck.

Tylo Riverbend

Tylo is a short and wirey young human male. He has short black hair that is not tamed into any recognizeable hair style, still it's short length gives it a somewhat well-kept appearance. This morning he has a thick layer of stubble on his cheeks and chin. His small eyes are a grey-blue shade and they dart around, taking in the sights of the new crew. He wears a mithral shirt, but it is mostly hidden by a large green cloak. Across his back there is a large quiver and a longsword hangs from his hip.

Eventually, Tylo's eyes look up to the rigging where he sees the hawk that belongs to one of the new people. "Look Vogel," his hand points up as he speaks to... well he has to be speaking to somebody, doesn't he... but nobody seems to respond. "Looks like you might have a new friend on board," he says.

Calli sighs in relief as Arha leaves. She lays back on the hay, hands behind her head. What happened? I.... I wish Sellyn were here. He would know what to do. Of course, he'd probably would've gotten himself killed by that..... admiral. She glares into the darkness. I'll kill him for what he's done to her.

Baka

Baka is on the deck for the morning, helping out in small ways, but mostly enjoying the fresh air and the last views of the city while leaving port. He is present for the formal introductions and greets the new shipmates warmly.

He is an Antarian by race, standing just over six feet tall with short-ish hair, seeming a little unkempt as if it were growing out. He wears a fine mail shirt and several marks about him that likely place him as a ranger. He also has distinctive tribal scars, and a few of his own making, placed on his face and arms. He is carrying a fine bow on his back, and holding a very distinctive golden spear.

"May each of you bring us success." His eyes take in the beauty of Arha, and he gives a respectful nod to the Sea Ranger, Roger Thobrick, remembering the many sea rangers that had helped the Red Tornado.

The place below decks is far below the standards that Arha is used to, but not smelly. Rear Admiral Rockfire will repeat his invitation to Arha. She can be one of the first to enjoy the newly remodeled captain's lounge... possibly even getting a sofa there.

Before he retires to the lounge with his lady-admirals, with or without Arha, Rockfire will turn to Olrik face-to-face when he is addressed by rank. "Yes. Do you need a word with me in private, Psion?" He boldly announces this man's powers before all. Olrik might still be uncomfortable with this, even with the new empress's open-minded laws. In the old days psions were openly burned at the stake. In fact, up until not that long ago, when Olrik was a youth. Rockfire is completely arrogant, and fears nothing on this ship.

Thrace's companions are young wizard-nobles. Arha will have seen these ladies plying their trade in Ibis's court, and other rich nobles she has partied with. The hair colors and styles are unique for all these proud wizard-nobles. Mostly the ladies have survived the many wizard wars, so most wizard-nobles were female. Thrace is likely merchant class, the imperial wizard 'union' was a meritocracy.
{Arha would actually know that this Captain Allie's brother is one of the few male wizard-nobles of the empire. A real goody-two-shoes however.}

The two priestesses are sweet and nice to everyone, they are wary of the wizardess, Arha. Arha will be the first to notice that the Unicorn Priestess is an elf. Like the psion, elves have had it rough, and only recently could they walk openly in the empire. The tanned skin priestess of Ibis will seek out Arha, and actually try to befriend her when she is not around the Admirals.

The ape-like Hadozee, Indiga, is amazing to watch as she swings all over the ship. If Arha wants she can be put to good use climbing in the rigging. She will get quite a good work out, and her keen mind will be of big help moving the sails about.

Arha's hawk will be wary of the spirit Vogel for now.

In the next few days that pass, as you sail northward along the coast of Western Lemuria, Baka will find he sea-ranger Roger Thobrick to be quite a disagreeable guy. He is clearly a thug of Rear Admiral Thrace, and looks at everyone not with him with utter disdain.

On the contrary, Baka and Indiga will find the supposed insubordinate Navigator, Yondrick, to pleasant and very helpful. He makes bold decisions, but his instincts are sound.

Calli's Hidden Room:
Calli's dreams are still rife with the green dragon. They are intense and she will awaken from them as if from a nightmare, but she is not frightened, only more intrigued. One night she will swear her arms and legs glowed green and scaly. Even seeing it briefly with her own eyes.

Olrik glares at the man.
"Actually I was more asking about your choice of title for describing me. I am no Lord Mr Rockfire as such I don't go around announcing the details of others lives to the public."

Olrik walks away from the man and heads over the deck, glaring menacingly at anyone who seems to give him the evil eye or look at him funny. Walking over to Arha he addresses her in a voice that anyone listening can hear (he suspects some people are watching him now thanks to the nobles petty little spite) "Certainly a fine ship Arha. Very ornate. I only hope this one doesn't burn quite as well as the last. I really was surprised it managed to stay afloat. Still, if we are going to be living here I will make sure to keep the fires to a minimum."

((As always Olrik has set up his trap this morning))

Rockfire is smug, even in his utter misunderstanding. "Rear Admiral really." Immediately, there is animosity from Rockfire, almost jealous of his friendship with Arha.

Olrik will also find the Sea Ranger Roger Thobrick equally annoying to be around.

On the first night away from the city, everyone on the ship will hear a painful scream come from the captain's chamber. It is a man's scream. Rear Admiral Rockfire's scream.

{Only Olrik will know what happened.}

The next morning Rockfire says nothing, seems okay, but does give Olrik the evil eye any time he passes by.

Arha

Arha will be willing to befriend (not bed) the priestess of Ibis and spend some time chatting with her. She talks about inconsequentials and her life at Ibis's court.

When Olrik mentions the ship he set on fire, Arha smirks and almost laughs out loud. Looking back on that incident, it was hilarious. She spends a little time reassuring her hawk about the spirit she can't see but apparently the bird is aware of. Most of the time, her hawk will spend time on the rigging or with Arha in her cabin. She declines the invitation from Thrace again... and chats with the other sailors and hopefully talks a little to the Captain about the weather, where they're headed and such.

Voyage:
Captain Allie will see that Olrik is getting dissed by Thrace and the Sea-ranger.
The dark red-head pulls him aside, "Don't mind the Admirals. They are all pomp and circumstance. On my ship there is no caste order. Even though the priestesses get the rooms, I think it is a respect thing. Look at this sharp Admiral Thrace. He's just mad because he's not a true noble like me.... or even to a lesser degree: Your friend Arha."

Though Olrik will feel how forced the Captain's actions are, he can see she makes a genuine attempt with Olrik to get him on the side of the original crew, who seem to be a tight-knit group with the Hadozee above silent except for the occasional bark of orders. Her movement above might even be mesmerizing to one if you just watched her agile leaps.

Arha's Whispering with the Priestess of Isis:
Arha might be surprised this priestess only seeks her friendship. Lady Kerri Seamster as her name suggests comes from a working-class imperial family. She took nothing for granted, and understood her precipitous rise in social position. She is very interested to get to know Arha, and in private will ask curiously about other 'thing' on Arha... such as one special hidden ability of transformation, that she somehow sees or knows about. "Does it change your mind too? Or can you harness it for your own will?"

Jair Barik

Olrik raises an eyebrow to Allie's remark.
"No caste order? Then what about the three gentlemen standing over the rest of the crew with you. That certainly seems to look like caste order to me. If you wouldn't mind I would like to meet up with some of your crew. Not the new people or the general rabble. I would like to speak with those that you feel you have a greater trust in. The ones who more likely represent your feelings... Purely for my own benefit of course. I would like to get a feel for what life is like here aboard the Black Tornado. Oh and one more thing. Do not try spying on me, the good Lord Rockfire has already proved it is not a good idea."

Baka

Baka notices the hawk familiar and comments to Arha. "That is a fine bird. Strong and intelligent. You are fortunate to have such a friend. I left a similar friend in the jungles of Antaria before boarding the Red Tornado with Captain Allie." With Arha's permission he will also pet the bird and give her (guessing gender) some giblets from Olmeric.

He will also try to get a feel for each of the new crewmates. Roger Thobrick and his underlings seem to have declared the allegiance so he will leave them to their own musings on the ship. He is of course respectful of the preistesses and somewhat formal until he can get to know them better. They are revered in his land and he has always treated them such with few exceptions.

Olrik is possibly the person that interests him the most at first. "What are the meanings of the tattoos? I have seen many religious markings before, but I have not seen any like these before. And, if you don't mind my asking, what is a Psion?"

Arha

Arha looks at the priestess, "Change? How do I control what?" She is a bit confused and doesn't want to admit to any abilities she might or might not have. She never considered that any other 'form' might affect her mind? It's an odd thought. Otherwise, she'll keep company with this priestess, she seems like pleasant company.

Her hawk is not really the friendly kind and it'll take more than a week for her to finally accept any treats and only with Arha standing right there. She doesn't divulge if her hawk has a name or not. She makes small talk with Baka, "The Jungles of Antaria? I don't think I've heard of it, where is it at?" She smiles and looks interested in the conversation.

Main Deck:
Allie winks at Olrik whispering, perhaps a little too leery for his comfort. Though this tough Captain Allie is a looker. "If you look under the other two's hoods, you'd see some pretty human ladies there. You might find them quite tasty. We'll just try to ignore those 3 until they leave." She'll sensuously nudge Olrik, trying to get on his good side.

Allie now seems to have free reign of the deck, and mingles with everyone as if nothing is wrong. Indiga might find it callous that Allie doesn't even look or ask about Calli. It is as if the hobbit had never been around her.

So far only Arha is allowed into the remodeled captain's lounge with Admiral Rockfire, Captain Allie, and the two lady noble-commandants.

Many days will pass and the shores of high magic Lemuria will be seen to your East. Dragons and flying-things galore will be seen. Sailors often play games trying to find the first 'whatever'. By now only the rarest of creatures were being sought among the many griffons, pegasi, and even flying hydra. Weird creatures were becoming the norm and quite expected when passing major sea-ports.

Before Lemuria is passed by and left to your South, the crew will tire of this game. Occasional flights overhead of many types continue as dragon-riders seem to be prevalent, including a spelljammer ship, which will get the whole crew's attention when it rockets overhead to the North-west.

Allie is mostly reclusive, and basically tells the Navigator Yondrick where she wants to go. Tylo feels the best guide is Vogel talking with the sea spirits, but the ranger Thobrick will insist his way is the best. Yondrick will openly agree with Thobrick, but secretly will go the direction that Tylo's spirit guide says. Only a select few would know this. And many won't even care the exact direction to get to the Northern Seas to notice the slight change in pathway.

Baka and Tylo will quickly see that this Roger Thobrick has traded some of the in-tune characteristics of the ranger for other skills, so his complete knowledge of the seas is likely limited to how he can kill things in it. His assistants are either thugs, hookers, and maybe even both. If they were rangers Baka and Tylo would assume them to be evil.

Callie Alone:
Her dreams don't manifest the way she expected, in the morning when she looked in the mirror, for a moment she will think she saw a green lizard face superimposed on her own as if Calli were wearing a green mask. It shimmers in the mirror only for a moment.

Calli will see that the sceptre is sitting in the middle of the floor of her bunkroom, regardless of where she had stored it the night before.

Walking across deck Olrik turns to baka when he speaks.

"What is a Psion? A step greater than a wizard. Some wizards criticise Sorcerers for only gaining their abilities because of their rich heritage. Some Psions criticise Wizards for only gaining their abilities from dusty old tomes and ancient texts. A Psion is one with his mind to such an extent they can manifest great power. I may not look it but I assure you that you do not want to mess with me in a fight. The tattoos on the other hand... they are mostly decorative with a few exceptions. Now tell me. What do you know of the good captain Allie and her three wise advisors?"

Baka

Baka gets almost a quizzical look on his face at Olrik's response. "Do you always feel threatened so that you need to threaten others? I assume that you are good in a fight, or Iniga would not have brought you onto the ship. You act as if you were an orphan who needed to stand down the bully." At this statement a short look of surprise hits Baka's face. "My apologies. I understand now. I did not understand the word through the Admiral's accent, but just realized the translation. I have heard stories of dangerous and powerful men with your abilities. But only stories. And like most bedtime tales, I assumed that most of them are completely ludicrous. You are welcome here Olrik. I will show you so by telling you of Captain Allie."

Baka turns to watch Allie as he describes her to Olrik. An obvious respect can be seen on his countenance as he describes her. "She is almost an outlaw among the ruling classes of the empire due to her brashness and courage, though she has many friends who trust her deeply. And her mother is one of the most powerful people I have met. But her strength is in her moral code. On her ship, you are treated as a person, fairly, though much is expected of you because the Tornado is but the epicenter of a larger storm. You may go almost anywhere and speak with anyone. You may even request to speak with the captain at any time if you believe you have cause. I have sailed with her on two ships, both hers. We lost the first, along with many friends. As to her advisors." Baka begins to choose his words a little more carefully, "The Rear Admiral is as he seems, thrust upon this crew by a greater authority that the captain owes some service to. And his two assistants seem to be as aloof as he is. I know little about them, other than they tend to stay to themselves except when they feel they need something. However, the captain has not been herself since their arrival. I am concerned for her. This is part of the reason I have not given my quarters over to Arha."

As they get further from port Baka's mood becomes more serious as his mind turns to finding the Antarian Prince Zgata. He will continue to consult with Tylo as to where Vogel believes Zgata is as well as keeping tabs on the Sea Rangers. Before the winds turn cold, Baka will also help prepare the ship for possible battle, returning the brazier for the fire tipped arrows and asking Zhako about the 'de-icing' magic that he was able to get at port.

Baka

Baka shrugs. "They have shown me nothing to like. My gut tells me they would sacrifice this crew to save their own lives if they felt necessary. Before they joined us, we were headed north in pursuit of Prince Zgata, who was taken from us during a battle. He is likely a prisoner of the Sahuagin kingdom. We were headed into the Imperial Port to restock for the journey when the Rear Admiral was assigned to this ship by... honestly I don't remember the other wizard's name. My goal has not changed, to rescue my charge and my prince, and that is still where this vessel heads." Baka doesn't mention the scepter because he has difficulty even remembering it as part of their mission since Calli left. No wait, she was hiding. In his room he has tacked a green ribbon on the wall to remind him to bring her food and water daily.

Olrik frowns. He appears and sounds slightly displeased by a part of what Baka has just said. "So they haven't actually altered the ships mission at all then? I see... I was under the vague impression that the word 'commandeer' was somehow relevant in this current situation? Still if there are any other crewmen who have similar loyalties to the good captain then I am very eager to meet them. Perhaps you could introduce us?"

Tylo

Tylo continues to speak with Vogel on a regular basis. Every morning when he wakes up, Tylo will head out to the railing where Vogel waits for him to report their current heading. He then heads down to get a bite to eat for breakfast. He sits down next to the navigator as he eats. He speaks quietly, but not so quietly as to arouse suspicions.

"Vogel says a few more degrees to the north." He pauses to wait for Yondrick confirm, then continues. "So I've noticed you seem to not care much for the admiral's commands. That's a pretty common sentiment from those of us that have been around here for awhile. I hope if worse comes to worst you'll be ready to help us."

"Me? Well then where to begin... Long time ago I was a seige engineer working with the Empire but that would be what, a good twenty or more years back now? Anyway after that I became an adventurer and have been going wherever my services are required. Generally they are required by the one with the most gold coins. After that brief stint in the Voidlands I joined up here. Currently I am following a lead on one missing Jinifir Kali grand daughter to the Sea Empress. One of my employers had heard of the capture of Prince Zgata and believed there may be a possible connection. Personally I feel he just wants me out of the way for a bit after the last job was botched. I had the idiocy to try sinking a ship with fire! Clearly in retrospect a concentrated ball of sonic energy to the lower regions of the hull would have been a mutch more efficient way of sinking it and would have had fewer casualties. Still, we learn from our mistakes and grow stronger. Now how about you introduce me to some of the other crew?"

Arha

Arha spends the journey talking and chatting with the priestess, the Rear Admiral and sometimes the Captain. She likes the refurbished quarters and wishes she was staying in them and not her own small space. She covertly attempts to figure out if any spells were placed on the Captain and what they might be.

Other times, she spends time alone with her 'dusty tome' studying her spells. At night, when she's shut the door, and she's sure she is alone, she telepathically talks to the Eye. She has a few questions to ask in private.

The Northern Imperial seas will be reached in a couple weeks, and the great sea trench lays before you, a massive and most dangerous Seaway.

At some point Captain Allie will call together a meeting of officers on the command deck, openly before all; as she has been doing most of her business recently. There will be three ways to go.

3 Routes:
1. Vogel's way: Straight through the dangerous wildlands of the massive Sea Trench.

2. Yondrick the Navigator idea to avoid the Trench; a longer route through the port towns of the good Northern Kingdom.

3. Thobrick: Wants to chance the eastern side, edging the Sea Trench dipping into Kandorian seas... known for pirates.

Edit:
Regarding Jinifir Kali, there will be mumur among some of the crew when this name is overheard. Baka would not know her.

Baka

"That sounds like a good story. Some of the crew is new, and I don't know them well yet. Iniga has secured reference for them however. I would introduce you to her, but that will need to wait, as the bosun is quite busy with the captain being off deck so much." Baka will first introduce Olrik to possibly the most important person to know on a ship, Olmeric the cook, a large man, and deadly with his knives. Baka will mention that Olmeric has saved his life more than once with the introduction. He will also find Zhako, an interesting man who's main skill is his art which he also uses to understand so much more.

At the next meal he will make sure to introduce Tylo as one of the specialists aboard the Tornado, and Iniga, the dexterous Hazodee that runs a tight ship.

Baka will also find each of the new specialists brought aboard, specifically, Golt, Thalt, and Uthall. He wants to know what type of men they are and also get to know some about their fighting style. Baka knows they will be fighting soon and wants to understand how they can stand together better than they have against the skirmishes they already had.

Olmeric is pleased to meet Olrik and assures him he'll cook him something special. Olmeric seems impressed by meeting the psion.

The mercenaries are a tight group, and well-trained mariners.

Arha and the Admiral:
The Admiral will have spiked Arha's drink more than once, and much to their dismay, she doesn't fall to their charm. She will return maybe insulted, but none the worse for it.

This Lounge is quite nice with a high magic scry-screen, that would rival any bond-villain. The two pretty wizard-nobles, were lesser whores back in Ibis's court. They are pretty sexy now, and don't exactly like having to answer to a non-blood noble like Rear Admiral Thrace. His blindness to get to Arha, will allow Arha to see this much into the relationship.

Arha

Arha is beginning to enjoy this voyage. So much fun to be had and all at someone else's expense. The Rear Admiral is amusing and interesting. She's liking the one priestess more and more (just as a friend) and someone to gossip with.

The only person she half way trusts on this boat is Olrik and one evening she seeks him out for a private conversation.

Baka will get an idea of the various mercenaries. Officer Golt is an 'entitled' man, he has seen a lot of war, and doesn't really want to do much. This attitude rubs off on his stooge, Mr. Juneberry. Juneberry and Golt will expect to pitch in, but will want to be officers or at least leads. Both these men do not mind taking night-shift, as long as they get to be in charge.

Golt is a skilled officer, however Juneberry is a numbskull for an officer, whatever his mighty warriorship might be. Indiga and most of the crew will not accept this idiot in anything more than tying up lines. He is strong, and has done sailor work for over 20 years, but not everyone is cut out to lead. It will take some convincing for Golt to accept Juneberry as not an officer.

Boggbregger is a huge man {6'9" 295lbs} and a warrior skilled with many weapons. He is full of himself, but a true man's-man. He immediately takes to mischief making with the men, a little insubordination, but nothing that will deter the mission. He is a confident man who wields a mighty double-axe, as well as two long swords worn at his hips. He wears black studded leather, and thinks he's a cool cat. His charm will win over the men, so that even his brashness is tolerated, because he works so hard as a mariner.

Unless there is a good argument, Yondrick will go his way. Both Thobrick and Yondrick will NOT want to go Vogel's way. No ships go into that deep sea, unless they seek great power or trouble.

Noticing the way that the ship seems to be deciding to go Olrik moves nearby to Thobrick and speaks to him in a low voice still audible to anyone who might be trying to listen.

"Submitting already? Surely a man of your high rank wouldn't submit so easily? Perhaps I pegged you wrong though and even you doubt your navigational skills. Still, at least we know who is really in charge around here."

Olrik smiles and slowly moves away heading beneath deck to some private and secluded corner of the ship to meet up with Arha. Thankfully the captains open door policy means even the lowest points of the ship are open making all sorts of areas perfect for private conversation.

Run ragged supervising most of the shifts, Miss Montoya, the boatswain, can get only a few hours of sleep during the day, when the most trusted of her crew can keep an eye on things.

During the long hours she is up, her hand's are full disciplining the unavoidable squabbles amongst the rougher crew and sweet talking and steering the rear admirals additions. Her skill with the whip is nearly legendary amongst the original crew, she hasn't had to use it in ages, but she is out of place dealing with the officers, that was the captain's job.

It is likely that both Golt and Juneberry will both get what they want, Golt will preside over one of the evening shifts and Juneberry's experience will be rewarded with the responsibility of helmsman on a different shift. The hadozee will keep her eye on both of them from her vantage point in the rigging. Unfortunately with all of her time spent above deck managing the crews, unreported mischief below decks is unlikely to come to her attention.

Juggling all of her captain's responsibilities has left the bosun with even more respect for Allie and a strong desire to have her back to normal. Montoya trusts her references and knows that Yondrick can do his job, he is left to handle his duties alone unless he makes a request for assistance.

For those that wish to make such a request the red furred hadozee will likely be found somewhere in the rigging, inspecting the lines or surveying the crews. The puffy sleeves of her courtier's outfit are held tight to the wrists and elbows by copper bands and the edges are hemmed with lace. Over this she wears lightweight studded armor that has been altered and intricately supported to allow the egress of the patagia that run from her long arms to her stubby legs. While not quite wings she appears to fly between the masts and only lands on deck when necessary, with the features of an orangutan she is far more comfortable when her knuckles don't rest on the ground.

Tylo

Tylo takes Vogel aside on the morning before the final route decision must be made. "So you really want to go through the deep waters? You know that's about the most dangerous route possible. If we go around like the others want to do, do you think you could pick the trail back up again on the other side? I might be able to talk someone into your direction, but I'll need a very good reason for people to agree to take that big a risk."

Olrik will get a 'bug' in Thobrick's ear and the Sea Ranger will swiftly march to the 3 Admrial-wizards in the Lounge. By the evening the admirals will angrily force the navigator Yondrick to go East {Thobrick's way}, and admonish the navigator for insubordination. Allie will try to cool things, but decides that going to the Good North might bring trouble to those innocent people. "Especially if we pass through with these guys!" She laughs heartily, openly thumbing the admirals. Thrace shakes off her jest with some annoyance, but says nothing.

Indiga will sense tension in the crew as they are forced to completely switch the sails to go from North-west toward the East. Olmeric rolls his eyes when he comes out to call the officers to dinner and sees the change in course. The officers always ate first. At this point of the voyage the meat is fresh and the crew got excellent beef stew from today's fresh slaughter.

{OOC- All the PCs are considered officers, only Arha is allowed to eat in the lounge. The admirals get Filet Mignon; the rest of the officers get choice steak cuts though cooks with excellent spices and sauces. Arha and Olrik will find that even the crew eat like kings with this 7-foot tall cook.}

Tylos Eyes Only:
Vogel looks at his human 'apprentice' and chuckles. "You must learn to trust the good spirits of the sea to guide you. This so-called sea ranger is blind. He is here for the promise to lay with one of those colorful wizard-ladies. The path I may lead you is dangerous, but is it no more dangerous than that of living men. I will say Yondrick's route is sound, but it will add weeks to our journey."

Arha finishes the conversation with Olrik with a kiss to the cheek and a whisper before she departs for the upper deck and dinner. She enjoys the good food around here and so does her hawk.

Her hawk often spends time soaring in the air currents over the ship during the day and Arha relies on her to inform her if she sees any other ships.

During the evenings and nights, Arha spends time with the Captain and the Rear Admiral as well as the priestesses, before spending time by herself each night. After all, she has to have time to talk to Sharon regularly.

Baka voices his opinions, though not strongly, at the meeting. Though Baka trusts Yondrick, he is troubled by the amount of time that the route would take, losing time to rescue Zgata. This leaves the wildlands and Thobrick's suggestion. He would rather takes his chances in the wild (with Tylo's recommendation) than the attrition they will take by fighting through the pirates.

He is disappointed, but his duty is not to find passage, but to keep everyone alive on the way. After the meeting, when Baka finds Tylo alone he does ask him, "Why does Vogel recommend such a dangerous route for us?"

"Vogel says we need to trust the spirits of the sea. Both of the other two routes will take us to the same place, eventually. Yondrick's route will take a few weeks longer than the others. Thobrick's plan will be a little shorter, but it is just as dangerous as the route Vogel suggests. Why not take the shortest route when the next best route will be equally problematic. I've never known my friend to steer me into unnecessary danger or let me go wrong when it was within his power to help. I have to trust him again now."

Rear Admiral Rockfire cares nothing for Thobrick's hurt feelings. If the crew advises him that the wildlands are better, he's not afraid. If anything he can teleport away, and all of you could see it in his eyes when he agrees to take the shortest route.

Arha's hawk will notice less and less ships the farther the Black Tornado gets from the Lemurian Isles. Ahead is dark blue seas and stormy skies, even the hawk knows not to fly too far from the ship. There are no ships in that direction.

Olrik in the lower officer hall:
Olrik with true seeing will see a strange magical haze at the end of the hall. It is part illusion, part shadow, and possibly extra-dimensional. He believes this little haze might be hiding another officer bunk, but even with true sight it is hard to see.

Into the Wild Deep Blue Sea, Indiga will be working most nights, and will usually see Arha return later to her room at some point. This night, two days into this dangerous way of the spirit guide, Indiga and her night crew won't see Arha until morning. This will be after an all night ceremony, that seemed to involve Arha in some wild orgy.

In the morning Arha will be shoved still quite dazed onto the main deck barely clothed. It is early morning, so she might even be humiliated as many of the crew are beginning their shift, and already Olmeric's steak and eggs are grumbling everyone's tummy.

Arha will no longer be enchanted, and can't remember exactly what happened, but she is sore.

On deck for the changing of the shift Miss Montoya takes note of Arha's departure from the captain's suite. To busy to deal with it then the hadozee shuffles to Arha's room a while later, with two plates of breakfast. Worn black knuckles rap softly on the wooden door, "It's not often I see someone leave the captains quarters unhappy after a night like that, but I guess it's not the captains quarters anymore is it..." A pregnant pause, "Um, I brought you breakfast. What happened?"
If the door doesn't open the fuzzy boatswain will leave the plate by the door and retire to her own room and collapse into her hammock.

Olrik is concerned about some of these recent events but there is little he can do at the moment. Retiring downstairs into the hull of the ship he begins making notes on his various theories regarding the captain. These various diagrams and tables are periodically burnt to a crisp in order to leave no evidence. Biting his pen he considers the possible options. He needs somebody who actually knew the captain! None of these current crewmen will do in the wake of what he currently knows...

Perhaps he should arrange a meeting with the apes or the cook...

In the mean time Olrik looks at any sea charts and maps available to find out more about the area they are in. Specifically he looks at what ports are nearest and how far they are controlled by various powers (namely the guild, void, empire and other such groups).

With Arha's special hidden item and Olrik's personal protection these two will realize they have a virtual seer-block. They will be able to arrange secret meetings away from the gossiping crew and the admirals. Olmeric or Indiga will likely meet them below decks near the livestock or deep storage.

Aust:
One of the swift and agile crewmen will turn out to be some friend or associate of Olrik and Arha. After weeks of travel it is clear this fellow, Aust, is something more than what he led on to be. In fact, a rumor on the ship is that he doesn't sleep in the bunkroom. Truth of the matter, he seems to be an elf, and apparently they need only an hour of meditation anyway.

Indiga will find this fellow Aust is a regular on the night shift. At first thought to be a young sailor, there will be something more to this one. He might be able to use it to his advantage, since the admirals do not see him as a threat at all. Arha knows him only as a close associate of her good friend.

OOC- Welcome Lothmar. I know Aust will likely be a mystery for a bit. By now this new, and quiet member will at least have met everyone on the original crew by now. He will be known as a night specialist due to his 'special' vision. In the day he is likely hooded if he does make a dayshift appearance. :smallwink:

Baka

Baka has tended to be an early riser since their new heading, if he was not on night watch himself. When he sees Arha pushed out of the captain's quarters onto the main deck in her condition he is enraged. It did not appear to be her choice in the matter. He shares a concerned look with Iniga at this event and offers Arha his cloak and will escort her to her quarters without a word said. He doubts any of the crew would mock her in this moment, but will stare down anyone who considers it.

He orders a few drills to be run by the marines and other warriors to get them working together, and to burn off some of his own anger. He will try to stay out of Iniga's way, but they also need to be able to work fighting and sailing together when the time comes.

Later, after much pondering, he will seek out Olrik. "I am concerned after today. I did not think that things had come this far. Captain Allie would never have allowed something like today's occurrence to happen. She has been altered. I am convinced. You may be the only person on board that could figure this out because of your talents. I believe that any magical means of investigation would be sensed or blocked by the admiral and his coven. Is there a way to break their hold on her?" Baka curses his frustration. "I am at a loss."

Despite being shoved out of the cabin rather precipitiously and although she still feels disoriented from the previous night, she attempts to hide it as she straightens and runs her fingers through her hair. She brushes down her outfit and considers that she now needs a new one. She hates that, ruining good clothes for something she doesn't really remember. When Baka offers her his cloak, she wraps it around her shoulders with a "Thank you," and a smile. She appreciates his offer and walks with him down to her chamber.

Once the door is closed, she sinks onto the bed and berates herself for it all. But, nothing left to do now that it's over with.

When Miss Montoya knocks on the door, she answers. She's changed into one of her usual black dresses and smiles a little as the smell of breakfast reaches her nose. "Thank you for breakfast. As for last night...I don't really remember, but don't worry, I'll take care of it."

Later that night, after sleeping all day, she'll see out Olrik and Aust for a private chat.

Olrik leers at Baka slightly.

"As I have said before I need to speak to somebody who knew the captain well. Seeing as there seems to be no such person aboard I will have to wait till we make port which from looking at these charts appears unlikely to happen any time soon. As for Arha any problems she now has it occurs to me may have to be her own for the time being. In light of recent events ones allegiances can be questioned. If you wish to be of aid to me and the captain all I ask is that you answer me one question and perform for me one task. What species is the captain and will you inform the boatswain that as we are passing through dangerous waters I will be offering my services as an extra pair of eyes on the night watch. If you have further need of me I will be in the hull where I can get some peace and quiet from the rest of this crew!"

Olrik seems angry and slightly stressed, his anger increasing to an almost rant like quality of speach as he continues talking. He does not appear angry at anything Baka has says in particular more he is troubled in general.

Baka was never the quickest fellow around, and he knows this, spending enough time around the priesthood and chieftains to know how quick and plotting wits can be used. But he starts to understand Olrik better, and to realize that Captain Allie's boat is not the place of freedom that he once loved. But he now is a place where he has always hated, a place where he questions who to trust, a place of secrecy and intrigue. He curses to himself as Olrik explains his own frustration, and decides to take a gamble.

"You are right about Arha. I cannot help her either. She is a strong person though and has held her head high. She should stop her nightly visits to the quarters though, unless she is seeking more trouble."

"To answer your question, the captain is human, as I know her. I did not understand the purpose of your first request, so I had shown you many who know the captain for many years. But I will reconsider this and see if I can find another to help. We will speak again this evening on this."

"I am not a man who enjoys lies or intrigue. I do not thrive in it. You speak as if you are a friend of Captain Allie's. I would like to know how, since you are new to this crew. But, regardless, I declare that I am taking a risk beginning now in trusting you. I do not do this lightly."

"As to your task, I will inform Iniga. We have a few, including myself, that are blessed with a special or racial vision to help us find trouble. My god, Osiris, recently granted me this ability after spending a length of time underground, studying their ways." After the discussion Baka will go to the deck and inform Iniga of Olrik's request for night watch due to his abilities.

Baka will also bring Calli her next meal and ask her permission for a meeting. "There is a new member of this crew, a Psion named Olrik, that claims to be able to help the captain if he could meet you. He says that he needs someone that knows the captain very well. He has met Olmeric and Zhako. I can think of noone that would know her more intimately than you. It risks knowledge of you on this ship, but would you meet with him? Either here or in the hold? Aust is short at Five foot four, but he seems to speak oddly and to possess certain strange mannerisms that seem beyond his current employment and station - he is most likely a foreigner but from exactly where is hard to place. His skin is pale but such things are normal for a moon-elf but his eyes no longer seem to reflect a shade of blue they once had and seemed to have grayed slightly. He keeps his silver hair well combed but one would only notice this if you were observing him during a night shift or casually met him below decks. If he is on the decks during the day his visits are very short and he wears a dark Grey cloak that seems to provide shade no matter the angel oddly enough and he seems to keep it with him regardless of the time, however at night he wears it around one shoulder and arm for flare as if he were ready to perform a magic trick on stage or fight a bull.

Though faded it looks as if his face once possessed some tattoo's around his eyes, however the pattern seems to have reformed nearly perfectly as light scarring - possibly from someone skilled with a knife who surgically flayed them so it makes one wonder what the point was in removing them if it's so evident something was there... If you interact with him Aust seems to be a man who presents himself with a strong air of confidence and seems to value eye contact and strong impressions - you may even get the feeling he's swallowing you whole if you look too deeply.

It is obvious that Aust has a decent wardrobe and seems to change his clothing every few days unless he has obvious stains - but most of his clothing seems to be simple tans and browns, grays and blacks or shades of blue and green. The only obvious gear that might signify him as a warrior would probably be his dark wooden large shield with a blank white canvas and the masterwork halberd both of which he keeps in the bunk room - though he does wear an impressive longbow if you examine it you might wonder how anyone could possibly draw such a weapon and use it effectively just from sheer resistance. In fact he tends to joke about it saying 'if anyone other then me can string my bow i'll gladly consider them worthy for a test of strength.' However he seems fairly friendly to other forms of competition and will freely compete in drinking to try and improve his station amongst the other sailors and crew - especially if it's chased with something exotic like snake venom or poison peppers.

In fact he seems to work almost around the clock except when feigning to be social with the other crew, during the morning when it's not his shift he seems to be constantly cleaning inside - mainly as a means to pass the time and as an excuse to explore the ship without seeming suspicious. When examining the ship he for the most part doesn't seem to be looking for anything in particular, as the old proverb goes 'Look with your eyes, not your hands'. In fact with his eyes Aust feels secure that he has meet everyone at least once or at least knows of everyone's presence if they seem less then social or actively trying to avoid him. "Night soon falls again, time to work and time to mend." he adds stretching in the bunk room before casually polishing his equipment and seeing to its quality as he double checks his list to make sure nothing is missing.

Aust is curious as to certain peoples positions and so begins to investigate whether there is cleaning staff for the admiral, the clerics and even the other officers rooms. With such seasoned clerics disabling any such individuals from accidental injuries or sickness would be difficult and of course if they went missing and someone just conveniently showed up to replace them it would probably be even more so. More then likely he'd simply have to show that he's capable of the duty and either volunteer if the position comes up or get 'reassigned' for the position during the day shift if they cant lose him during the night.

Every day and night Aust is tempted by the glow of those around him, and considers the plan more and more as a missing person would be a more then ample of satisfying this secret sin of his for a week... Then again, perhaps he could find enough volunteers that it wouldn't be too noticeable - especially if he made sure to hide the injuries with a potion and some bindings. But such things were a distraction to work and he tried to put them from his mind as he struggled to retie a knot for the third time gritting his teeth.

Clandestine Meet in the Hold

Calli watches Olrik's eyes. Her Grandmother always said you could better understand someone, if you watch their eyes.

Allie is as Human as any other Human I've slept with. If she's anything else, she never informed me, or changed before my eyes.

And the last I saw of her was when she entered her quarters with..... that bastard and his two b****es. And she seems more cold, more distant since then.

But as I said, I haven't seen her since she entered her room. I've only heard what the others have told me, and what she said the morning I went into hiding, for fear of my life.

Calli looks up at Olrik, defiantly. So, I have few questions of my own. If you care not for our Captain, where do your loyalties lie? What are you looking for? And why should we trust you?

Olrik stares back at her and judges how much he can tell her.

"My allegiances lie with my client. He is looking for the captain and his interest is for her betterment and the detriment of those who have performed a specific illegal function aboard this ship. Hopefully I will be able to tell you more when the ship comes to dock and this business is wrapped up and dealt with. If you will excuse me I have as Baka knows voluntered for the night shift and so if you have no further need to keep me here any longer I will be getting to my duties. So long as you are around me you are safe from being spied upon through magical means but if my absence is noticed the more traditional issue may arise of somebody coming looking for me."

Baka

Baka scowls, seeming very displeased with the exchange. He stops Olrik for a moment. "If it is for her betterment, then you stand with your allies now. The more we know of each other, the more we can help each other. I brought you here and revealed much to find out more about Allie, and all you have done is asked a few questions. How are going to help us? I have failed her once before, I do not plan on that again."

Jair Barik
2010-05-06, 12:38 PM
"The problem you see is that if I tell you how I intend to help you then you will not be surprised when I help you. I will leave no room for failure in this plan! All you need to know is that this will be done legally and as such no blood need be spilled, the captain can be rescued and you will testify against the new crew to aid in their imprisonment. If it was a simple case of killing the Admirals it could be accomplished in any manner of discreet methods but the politics of their murder could easily come back to haunt us all."

Olrik seems to pause for a moment, consider something and then sighes and turns to face Baka and Calli.

"These are dangerous waters we are sailing in Baka. If something were to happen I believe it is your duty as a respected member of the crew to point out that we should turn back. After all, if we were waylaid even slightly we may not have enough rations to make it all the way to our destination."

"That sounds very near a threat to this ship. We have a mission to rescue one of our own who was captured by our enemy. I have no intention of leaving Zgata out there while we turn back. This ship and her crew is not a stranger to hardship. We are not in port nor will be any time soon. You have grown too used to having the authorities of the city near you. Justice is here in the wilds as well. But sometimes you need to deliver it yourself." Baka steps aside to let Olrik report to his shift.

Tylo makes his way up to the central mast and carefully begins climbing it. When he nears the level that the bosun is working he calls out. "Hey, you need a hand up here? You've been working like nothing else up here lately. I know since the Captain's been less... available lately, you've been taking on more to do. You deserve a break too. Why don't I help you out for awhile so you can take a little more time to yourself tonight."

Main Deck: Night Shift after secret meeting....
The meeting seems to go off without a hitch.

Olrik can join Indiga on the night crew this evening.

Vogel will alert Tylo this evening, and he will hear the screams and excitement of the night-crew as it happens.

An ephemeral, many legged mass of pseudo-living ectoplasm appears before the ship and begins floating towards the prow. The men scream and yell so loudly that the whole crew, minus admirals, will be alerted and the ship at attention in less than 30 seconds. By this time this menacing ghostly, tentacle-beast is climbing onto the main deck incorporeally going through the sails and rope. This thing is massive, and stands about 100 feet high and is roughly 100 feet in diameter; the tentacles are each about 50 feet long!

A few men on the night shift including 2 Lemurian 'rookies' will leap madly into the sea, possibly lost forever.

Arha's Confidant:
Kerri will tell Arha about her hard working family from an industrial town. Apparently it was an honor for her to be chosen by the temple, and her family was given a lot of money. She is beautiful, tanned with dark hair. She wears simple white robes most of the time.

Many priestesses of Isis eventually become glorified hookers, making love to the parishioners: 'saving them and raising funds for the church'.
Likely these two could've 'developed' a lot together in this time that passed. Whatever is happening in Kerri's comfortable officer's room in the cabin this evening will be completely interrupted by the screams on deck.

Shortly thereafter while the crew is scrambling to the main deck or below decks to the arrow ports, these two ladies will also hear a short, quiet squeal this one from Pyae Raeariel's room. The elven priestess across the hall.

Calli's Green Friend:
Calli has likely lost a lot of weight, and won't be looking too good. But, for some reason she will feel fine, as if the sceptre has become a drug to her. She will feel as if she has almost solved it. On this night she will awaken to see a green field around her room. A glowing green energy that seems to have her trapped in her room. Calli will feel safe for now, despite what screaming happens above. She won't be able to get out and no one will be able to get in.

Her little green friend will appear to her in here at this time and talk to her about frivolous things and will pick this time to want to play games with her.

But then, the men in the water catch her eye, she bottles the anger, pushes it down and stores it, barking orders she gets those who haven't fled the deck to throw lines out. She dodges through the tentacles to try and get to the base of the mast. As she weaves and flips through it's arms she searches for weak points or flickers in it's form.

Aust Stares at the creatures approach from the rigging's attempting to identify one key quality with his eyes, whether it radiated an aura and thus was alive and simply possessed some strange quality that allowed it to be ghostly or if it was dead and likely a ghost at that point, in which case his bow and arrows would likely have almost no effect-along with certain other attacks.

As it takes the creature thirty seconds or so to reach the boat, aust decides to experiment to see if the creature can even be harmed by his and normal weapons. Drawing his bow he takes a few shots during its approach to gauge this theory, moving to a position closer to rope he could use for a dramatic swing to the rooms of the clerics and the admiral as he felt they would likely need every caster they had at hand. As she played, she thinks about what Olrik said. She doesn't like the idea of the admirals going to prison. She wants..... No, that's not what she wants.

She wants Allie back. What does she care what happens to them, as long as they haven't hurt her captain.

She sets the cards aside, and drifts off to sleep.

During the night, the green glow slowly awakens her. Wha.... what's going on? She looks around in amazement.

But then she hears the screaming. She immediately grabs her Mithril Shirt and daggers. But before she tries the doors, she notices the Little Green Dragon is back.

She tries the door. No matter what happens, she cannot let her friends die. But it doesn't open. She turns to the Dragon. Why won't this door open?

'Huh, is this what it's like inside a stomach?' he continues to think to himself, thankfully his natural hardiness has tempered his skin and what injuries he does receive seem to be getting handled well by his own natural healing. 'Well, these clothes are ruined.' he continues thinking casually until the creature finally goes back into the sea.

"Must have been something he ate," Aust adds blowing some slime off his lips after he makes his way down to the ship. "Guess we didnt agree with it." He adds flicking some more off his finger tips. "Im... Im going to go change my clothes now after this experience. . ." The blue-streaked raven haired wizard lady swings the door open just enough so her head pops out. Olrik and Baka can tell this sexy noble vixen wears little if anything, and there is the strong smell of rare incenses coming from the very darkened room.

"What's the problem? Did people die yet?" She looks as if you have bothered her.

Tylo follows the crowd to the captain's quarters. When Olrik tells the rest of the crew to go search the ship, Tylo does not obey. He is unwilling to let the psion out of his sight just yet. Tylo doesn't know exactly what Olrik's up to, but he knows he doesn't trust him.

"No, everyone was saved, but only barely. Little thanks to you lot. I would think if you were concerned about this mission, you'd also care about the lives of the people set to carry it out with you."

Calli Below:
Calli will hear the rush of feet above her as it sounds like many enter the officer's hall above, and even more crew gather outside to wait.
The fairy dragon looks sadly at Calli. "You don't have to take this responsibility. It is a very dangerous path."

Main Ship:
If the wizard-lady isn't needed any more she will slam the door in Baka's face.

The only person missing is Pyae the elven priestess. As well as the 3 admirals and Captain Allie, who were presumably in the Captain's Lounge/Bedroom.

Unhappy with Olrik for turning her crew into a mob, Miss Montoya knuckles through crowd tapping a couple of the less frenetic crewmen on the shoulder as she makes her way to Rodger and his associates. Shorter than most of the others her red furry head occasionally pops out of the crowd as she jumps up to view her targets. The hadozee tries to keep herself between the rangers and the door as she closes the distance.

Aust now on the deck observes the scene with mild intrigue. 'Hmm, I dont think this is the Justice we want to see... No, I think they'll probably appreciate the kind of justice that charges heavy litigation fees and fines to the Empire.' Aust thinks to himself trying to decide if the situation is worth stepping into or not. 'Best to be prepared if I need to help throw someone in the brig if this door gets broken in.' He thinks weaving his fingers and popping them.

He casually looks for the faces of a few others in the crowd as he walks forward and makes his way to through the crowd, simply making sure this isnt their doing and if it is; Well he hopes they have enough something to back up these actions or it may get ugly...

Arha

Arha has no interest in joining the mob. She looks around the room and leaves Pyae's belongings on the bed. The thought of herself wielding a sword is ludicrous and a holy symbol? Well, she'd rather steal the power from the gods if she can. She looks out the window to see if either the imp or the creature are still outside or if they're completely gone.

Main Deck:
The crew is getting heated and riled up. The ship has slowed, and is not moving very fast. Indiga's glare can keep the men simmered down. She will find the smelly sea ranger, Thobrick, and his equally scuzzy friends talking in private at the bow of the ship. They are clearly trying to stay away from the riled up mob. Golt and Juneberry, two of the veteran mercenaries are listening intently to what Roger Thobrick says.

Officer's Hall:
With Olrik still outside making noise the blue-black haired lady pops her head out. She now wears a blue nightgown, and Olrik will be able to see a few figures in the shadows behind her. "We are resting. The ship is not in danger any more. Thank you. There is no need to disrupt our sleep."

Judging by the lingerie peeking from her lacy nightgown and sweaty brow, Olrik and Baka might think this noble wizard lady was up to something else.

Arha and Kerri are in the tiny officer room. Those in the hall will be aware of these two looking around Pyae's room in concern. There is no sign of the imp. It flew toward the rear of the ship, the direction of the captain's room and lounge. {The rear compartment of the officer's cabin, underneath the command deck at the rear of the ship.}

There is a great rear window in the captain's lounge. The newly repaired one has not fully been enjoyed by anyone except Arha.

Calli's and the Emerald Fairy Dragon:
"Pain is relative. I think a Tarrasque is painful. This...

The first time you might forget. I am not sure how it will effect you. But, I was sent to you for a reason." Calli will now see that she is covered in green scaly leather. There is also a mask or snout on her face. At the moment she can't tell if it is her real skin or not. Just moving about the room she will feel it does not hinder her movement in the least. "One thing's for sure. I didn't know it could do that. Looks like loin-scale."

Olrik spins around on the spot to face the crew and smiles almost manically. He begins to speak but his voice is slightly different now. It is cheerful. Almost scarily so.

"You know what? Your all right. In fact everyone on this ship is right. Correct, conforming to the truth and free from error, you are all right! There is nothing the slightest bit wrong aboard this ship nor has there been since the arrival of the new command. Nothing whatever has changed here and so there is nothing to worry about. We should all just go back to work and or sleep for there is certainly no elephant in this room. There are no secrets aboard this ship of that we can all be quite certain and so we will for the forseeable future trudge on with our journey into certain danger as we depart uncertain danger. Mr. Bosun, Tylo wasn't it? I am afraid I must revoke my previous statement about working tonight as I need the sleep. When I stay awake too long things around me have the unfortunate habit of combusting. Wood, paper, cloth, people, you know the usual things. Good night everyone, and pleasent dreams, I am sure that nobodies sleep will be disturbed by thoughts of unstoppable monsters, treachery or the fact that unbeknownst to you somebody could be spying on you at every hour through use of magic which you cannot comprehend."

Still with a smile upon his face Olrik moves through the crew and heads to his quarters.

Tylo sputters and looks utterly confused by Olrik's latest speech. He doesn't even manage to spit out that he isn't the bosun, he just nods in recognition of his own name. As the psion begins to walk away, he finally manages to mutter. "I'll give her the message."

As the crowd (presumably) starts to disperse, Tylo heads off to find Indiga. Spotting her near the ranger, whom Tylo has begun thinking of simply as "that idiot," he approaches. "I need a word, if you would."

After stepping a little away from Thobrick and his cronies he says, "The psion isn't going to work tonight. Said he needed his sleep so that his brain doesn't make stuff blow up or something. I don't know about all those mind magics. What I do know is that he summoned that sea monster, Vogel told me. He summoned it, tried to use it to rile everyone against the wizards, not that that's such a bad thing, and then turned and went to bed, making some comments that sounded vaguely like threats on the way." Tylo's tone makes it obvious that he's extremely frustrated by the whole situation.

'Whiner.' Aust thinks to himself with a roll of his eyes. "Well, glad that's settled. Does anyone else feel their voice isnt being heard? Hmm?" He draws out the Hmm slightly. "Yes, it's not like this goo that's still lingering about from that monster crawling over us melts clothing and burns off skin isnt pitting the wood of this boat as we speak because everyone who would or should be cleaning it off is here belly aching."

He adds with a snap of his fingers. "WAKE UP! We're better then this! We're Sailors! We're not some bunch of union thugs who go to the company head and threaten to shut down operations every time there's an incovenience or we desire better conditions." He adds with a pause. "No! We're men of honor, we're men who build our lives and livelihoods off the sweat of our brows and the quality of our labors and given food, coin and purpose. And im sure many of you may have complaints, well there's a gang plank that lets off to a dock at every port and plenty of other seasoned sea dogs who'd be thrilled to take your positions; However, until then I suggest we get this vessle back into ship shape as we cant afford to be losing time like this." He adds rolling up his sleeves.

"And if you have a problem im certain the officers wouldnt mind speaking with you in the morning after your shifts, but there's a chain of command people, they leave people in charge while they're busy or cant be disturbed, so follow it and bring your troubles to them allright?" Aust adds with a serious tone, securing a bandanna around his forehead.

"Now, lets get this ship cleaned up and get a damage assessment - I for one know we may need to replace some of the riggings after that and hell, if we look hard enough maybe we'll find what that beasty was after so we can make sure we arent on the menu when passing through again." His tone is much more light hearted with this as he trys to draw the men back to their duties.

Arha finds a moment to lean close to Kerri. She whispers that if the priestess EVER tells anyone about what she did to get inside this cabin, that she'll hunt her down and she'll die a slow, painful death. Arha is utterly serious when she says it. She knows just how many people onboard this ship know her capabilities. Kerri is now one of them. Arha likes Kerri, but she would take it personally if Kerri were to spill her personal information.

After she figures out where the imp has gone. She smiles at Kerri, "Now that that is over with. The imp seems to have flown toward the Captain's room and lounge. Next time you're in there, do you want to look and see if you see any sign of the elf?" When Olrik moves out to the main deck everyone watches, including Roger Thobrick and his thugs. Aust will also get attention on his speech.

Rear Admiral Rockfire bursts onto the deck in a hastily thrown on black robe during Aust's rant. Rockfire is followed by the two ladies in rumpled green and blue nightgowns. They have the elven priestess with them, she is in what looks to be a skimpy green bathing suit, that leaves nothing to the imagination on this sexy elf. Rockfire is annoyed and drags the elf to the main deck. He throws her in front of the crew and snaps at you all. "Here's your whore!!! I was just making use of her. She would continue but is interrupted by the sudden appearance of the priestess on deck.
For the second time tonight she watches as her carefully disciplined crew is turned into a frenzied mob. She rushes forward to reach it's edge before Roger, Golt, and the others can. Like a storm cloud she rises over the crowd, her normally soft wrinkled face hard with lines of anger. "First man to touch that girl is subject to twenty lashes." Pure matriarchal rage rains down on the crew from on high. "THIS IS NOT HOW YOU ACT! YOU ACT CIVILIZED!" Falling down she glides to the side Pyae, "This girl is not a buffet, IT IS NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! All of you on the current shift get cleaning, or you get to help Zhako re-varnish the whole thing. The rest of you get to bed. The fine lady's affections will be given to whomever scored a hit on the monster that caused tonight's godawful mess.

Once back at the room he quietly but respectfully replies to Montoya. "Shall I return to cleaning mum, or would you like me to stand watch on things and make sure no one causes trouble here? Rockfire is so outrage at Indiga's move that he will be speechless. He is so horrified that he will begin to cast a spell. Green energy will swell in his hand. The next few moments happen so fast most of you will be scrambling for your lives.

A short green lizard-lady swordmaster comes bursting from the lower holds through the deck. The agile little lady might even be a hobbit in a green scaly suit. She is wielding a strange greenish blade that seems to hum and whistle energetically. With her dramatic splintering appearance she lops off Rockfire's casting hand quite dramatically.

You might think by the spray of blood covering the mostly nude elf and nearby Indiga and Aust that victory was had. However, the next thing that happens is the Captain's Lounge door swings open and out steps a gorgeous lady with purple hair, in an indigo jumpsuit. {Allie's mother was older and had magenta hair.}

This lady blasts everyone in cold. Indiga and Aust saw it happen, and somehow she amplified it to a level that hit the whole deck. Many friends of Indiga were killed in that moment. Frozen death everywhere.

The hearty among you froze, but were ready for the shock. Some more than others. {59 or 29 - cold} All of you would want to react, but even more powerful magics are here to save you all from sure doom.

Out of no where black robed wizards appear and incapacitate the purple spell caster, and also cage up the remaining casters gathered in the captain's lounge unseen.

One fellow bows to Arha, as all of you except her might be stunned at how fast this all happened. "We got'em girl!! We got'em!!" This dark, long haired Lemurian wizard in his early 40's was named, Lavando. He was one of old Vito's top merc-wizards. This unassuming dark fellow was epic in power, and with him here, the admiral will be healed and taken under arrest before the survivors will know what hit them.

A younger fellow in his early 30's, speaks to Lavando. Arha doesn't know him, he looks sadly at the frozen death of the crew around him, the survivors only moan for their lost fellows. "At a high cost wouldn't you say, Dr. Lavando?"

The older gentlemen {Dr. Lavando} with a slight goatee, is more pleased with Arha, and will be introducing himself quite quickly to Olrik and Indiga.

The frozen blast will have stunned the green suited fellow, and she lays among the frozen dead.

As the little green dragon knight comes to among the frozen dead crew Dr. Lavando will notice her and freeze the green scaled little hobbit as she tries to make her way into the officer's cabin. He will magically wave his hands effortlessly and bring the hobbit to him telekinetically. "What have we here? A little dragon-knight?"

Lavando looks at Arha, Olrik, or Indiga as if they can explain.
He will casually say to the magically lifted hobbit in green, "Your captain is not on-board this ship. She's been gone sometime..."

As Olrik presents himself, Lavando acts as if he knows who this psion is even though they have never met. "Getting the captain back soon could be a problem."

There is a commotion in the captain's lounge as over a dozen wizards in black round-up the colorful wizard ladies and the one-handed Rockfire. {As well as others in the lounge?} They also gather up the elf, Pyae, but she screams. "I'm not with them!!"

Lavando laughs, "Well, you aren't the mercenary priestess hired for this crew either. Without Rockfire's SCREEN I'm afraid your gig is up!" With a flick of his epic magic he dispels the form of the elf before you and suddenly a naked featureless, sexless grey skinned humanoid lays magically-bound on the main deck. A doppelganger!

The doppelganger will beg as magic binds her, she claims she was coerced by Rockfire. The arresting wizards want nothing of it, and plan to take the doppelganger away with the offending wizards. She will beg of Arha and even Indiga, "I could still be a vital part of the crew!!"

There was a hobbit hiding on board away from the crew but this is not what she looked like when I met her. I cannot atttest to wether it is the same person one way or the other. Regardless if you can find the hobbit she seemed to be one of those most loyal to the captain. Also may I recommend you dispel any magic on the rest of the crew too? Myself and Arha included assuming she does not object. With doppelgangers in the equation it felt a little hard to trust anyone really after a certain amount of time. Any one of use could be subject to a suggestion, a domination or even be somebody other than who we say we are."

I know it's been hard to trust people on board lately, but this crew will be in shambles if we can't trust each other and lean on each other. Aust casually looks around for the hand of Rockfire an interesting souvenir if there ever was one - however if it's too far away or if it flew back into the room where they're rounding up subjects he wont bother. He'll check the bodies to see if they're completely frozen or if they can be prepared for a burial at sea. Aust assumes they could do such a thing while the bodies were still frozen, but it seems rather heartless to not do it properly.

Aust will not obviously reveal his employ like some of the others as he has little idea what opinion the rest of the crew may have of the guild and so will simply blend into the background tending the bodies as he has little to contribute to the following affairs. He almost felt guilty that so much of the work had been performed by the other operatives and he had pretty much been left out of the loop by all of them, but so long as he got paid he couldn't complain really - sea life was even starting to agree with him, always something to do.

As aust see's the scene unfold, part of him wanted to simply watch it - but another part of him said 'might as well appear useful' and it was a good excuse to get closer since the hand was probably still near rockfire. He rushes over quickly so that the mage will not have to expend more magic on the situation and will pull the halfling free of Rockfire.

"Shhh, calm, calm, all in due time..." He whispers to her clasping her mouth closed with one hand around the front and the other wrapped around the back of her head pushing slightly forward while he pulls her back, his arms interlaced from under her own armpits. He will pull her back far enough away that she will hopefully not be considered a threat anymore so long as he holds onto her. If she continues to struggle he may even attempt to turn her face (with a pin) and give her a 'reassuring look'.

When Calli {the mini-dragonknight} goes 'beserk' on the deck and charges the magically bound one-handed Rockfire, she finds she is pinned herself by Lavando's magic. Lavando roars at her. "Stop you fool! Before I arrested you!!" Olrik won't be able to manifest fast enough, and Aust will be soothing a pinned hobbit in green armor.

Rockfire and his one-hand are too in pain to be aware of what is going on. He says nothing, and can't. He and the 3 colorful wizard ladies are gagged and covered in strange swirling force. Calli is also now swarmed with this high powered magic.

Dr. Lavando does seem to notice Arha and is pleased, but is currently distracted.

Fighting and explosions come from the captain's lounge, Lavando looks at his wisecracking assistant and tells him, "Make sure none of the captives come to any harm." He looks at Rockfire and his two lady assistants in particular.

Aust will spot Rockfire's hand near the officer's cabin, nearby where Calli is pinned.

For some reason the doppelganger's mouth isn't gagged at the moment with magic swirling mists, and it shouts out to Olrik. "Please! Don't let me go with them! I'm not with these yuckholes! I can help you find the Captain and the elf. Pyae might even be here still." The assistant will silence her with swirling mist.

Lavando is about to attend to the commotion in the captain's lounge when the freshly recovered Indiga knuckles her way into his path. Indiga had fallen in the hall right outside Pyae's room, so he and Kerri are right in his way as Lavando forces his way by them.

Lavando is so taken by what Indiga says, that he bursts into a fit of laughter. He then keeps going toward the captain's lounge. If Indiga follows him to the captain's door he will turn and warn her. "If you follow me into the captain's lounge. I don't think you'll come out alive." Lavando tries not to laugh in Indiga's face, but fails miserably, and will continue toward the rear captain's chamber.
"Vesterfay take care of these poor souls." He speaks to his younger associate, who looks sadly at the death on the ship.

Vesterfay sighs, and mumbles trying to lure Indiga from her aggressive intent."He's serious, bosun." Clearly these guys have advanced knowledge of the crew and situation.

Olrik seems slightly saddenned by the turn of events.

"Things did not have to work out this way... Vesterfay! You seem a good man. Tell me. What do they intend to do with the captives. The politics between the guild and these wizards has caused enough trouble already for these people. If the Doppelganger is telling the truth I think we should hear it out, wether our superiors want to or not. Something like this has happenned to me before and I let it slip through my fingers in favour of the mission."

Assuming Lavando goes on alone into the lounge, Vesterfay will be calm when looking from Olrik to the doppelganger. "If you want this shifter under your watch I can give it to you. It is merely a mercenary in this whole wizard plot against the empire." Vesterfay says this with disgust, as if he were a dyed-in-the-wool wizard himself.

If the bosun wishes to have the creature remain aboard her ship then I will take it off of your hands it will remain here with the guild being informed it is for the time being under my responsibility. If the bosun does not wish for the creature to remain aboard this ship then I will have nothing to do with it and you can keep it."

Olrik sighs and turns out to look at the sea.

"That depends. I am sorry if I have seemed cold, perhaps cruel. I have not always been like this though. This most recent case I suppose would relate to my last big job. You had to have a certain detatchment from life in order to survive. People died on a daily basis, one of our 'experts' was crushed between two trees, another was eaten in his sleep by dragons. A couple of times I considered ending it all but each time something came up to remind me there is so much yet to learn, so much more to see. How old are you Montoya? I am unfamiliar with the Hadozee."

Lavando the guild-wizard ignores Indiga. He will enter the darkened captain's lounge, whatever is happening in there cannot be seen. Only bright flashes, and shadowy movements will Indiga see when the captain's door is opened.

Vesterfay on the main deck alone, is another dark haired tanned Imperial. He has a neat, very short beard, and by the way he holds himself and hands together, you can tell he is a fastidious fellow. He will be the only wizard left on the main deck to watch the 4 captured admirals. He will begin to get nervous as the explosions in the captain's lounge get ridiculous. It is hard to believe all those loud explosions are coming from the lounge, but it is starting to shake the ship a little.

He will speak to Indiga, as Aust is searching the deck. He can even slyly pocket Rockfire's missing hand.

Vesterfay will listen to Olrik and Indiga politely. "Hadozee. You have been in trouble long before this psion was hired. I am sorry for the death, but it did bring an end to this fool's quest. I think your green sceptre has been found." He points to the miniature dragon-knight bound in the magic. Calli's mouth is left free to speak, even though her body is held.

At some point the entire ship shudders as the rear captain's lounge explodes, splintering everyone with shards of wood. No one is seriously hurt, and you are merely covered in many splinters. Vesterfay will cringe at this rain of wood.

Finally Lavando will emerge from the cabin wreckage very weary, his robes a bit tattered. He bows to Arha, "We have his son. Things have changed, but I assure this Rockfire will face the full penalties of the law." He kicks the pained one-handed wizard.

Green-red robed wizards arrive. The material of their robes is quite expensive, there is even some real gold threading in the stitches. These are the wizards of the empress herself. They will act as police and even though they are lesser powered than Lavando, he will acquiesce to them.

The ship is in shambles. The frozen dead bodies will begin to thaw, but are still not stinking, as they are still chilled. They can be buried at sea with honors. Gerta the orc female warrior, and long time Indiga friend, weeps intensely over the last of the three orc males, Rakmon. Rakmon was among the many casualties on the deck.

The imperial {green-red} wizards will take away the prisoners, as well as other colorful dressed individuals that seemed to have been hanging out in the Captain's lounge. One swarthy man in black leather suit with platinum studs is quite famous. His handsome face and thin mustache will be immediately recognized by Arha as the face of the guildmaster's son. His hair has a bit of silvering, that makes him look distinguished even bound in the swirling mists of Lavando's magical bonds. This fancy looking thief is: Vito the Fourth, the high priest of Loki himself, and he too is taken away. He will glare madly at Arha.

It will be late when the commotion on the damaged ship leaves, the dead can be attended. When all the craziness has calmed and all the different wizards are gone. Only Lavando and Vesterfay remain to answer questions.

In the explosion the rear mast was toppled, and the whole command deck caved in. Even Baka and Indiga's rooms are damaged, though they are able to dig out their stuff.

The Black Tornado looks even worse than it did before the repairs in the imperial port.

Turning to Vesterfay, Miss Montoya speaks coldly "We may have had problems, but we still had a loyal crew to deal with them until this man rallied them against powerful wizards like yourselves, I hold him just as responsible for the deaths of my crew as the woman who killed them."
She dives for cover as the ship is rocked by the explosion, she can only watch as the rear mast falls in a groaning splintering crash.
SOMEONE'S PAYING FOR THIS!" Screams the bosun as she pulls herself up and picks bits of wood out of her fur.

Olrik helps in clearing the various wreckage and aiding the crew with putting things right aboard the deck. If there are particularly large pieces of wood that need moving he will use his telekinesis to move them about the deck. For smaller parts a broom will suffice. For the time being he steers clear of the Bosun. She clearly doesn't want any more trouble. At some point Olrik will move over towards Vesterfay and ask him the important question. "Have we new orders then?"

Arha

Arha throws up an arm to protect her face from the splinters, afterwards she is rather surprised by Lavando's pronouncement and the bound Vito IV. Her eyebrows go up when she spots him in the group. She thought he'd know better than to hang out here and not even be able to teleport away, what a surprise. She puts one hand on her hip as he is carted away.

Once they're all gone, she relaxes a little. She starts picking out all the splinters and licks the spots on her hands. After she's sure she got most of them, she begins helping the crew pick up the mess on the deck.

Most of all, she wants to know how much the Guild Master will pay for for all of this...

Tylo

Tylo assists in gathering the bodies and preparing them for burial at sea. The small man begins moving all of the corpses to one area of the deck, laying them side by side in a long row. He tries to close their eyes and cross their arms over their chests, but the frozen flesh makes it nearly impossible. Instead, he settles for placing a large sheet of canvas across the bodies as he lays them out.

When the explosions begin, Tylo glances in the direction of the source. He simply shakes his head, a frown on his face. Then he returns to his work. He has just about finished with the last of the dead when the final explosion rocks the ship. Tylo nimbly dives out of the way of the mast as it falls. He lays on what is left of the deck of the ship face down, waiting to make sure the explosions have ended. Once all seems stable again, he stands, surveying the damage. "Looks like we'll be heading into docks again," he says. "If we make it that far. Several dead. Who knows what happened to the captain, Pyae has been replaced by a doppleganger... or maybe she always was one. Baka's friend is still being held by the sahuagin. And a ship in shambles. Some days I think it is just time to throw in the towel."

Aust shifts slightly during the second burst to protect calli whom he was keeping restrained, even though the idea of holding up the halfling as a large shield was more ideal - it seemed to lack a certain noble quality. Almost none of the splinters will be able to penetrate his hide, but those that do seem to be quickly pushed out without effort in a matter of seconds due to his naturally fast healing.

Aust smirks slightly now that calli is relatively calmer and casually replies "Looking forward to working with you again, hopefully next time it will be under better circumstances." He chuckles slightly before getting back to work. He picks up the hand and gives himself a high five with it before casually tucking it into his belt.

Aust aids in clearing the weighty debris and can easily carry things overhead from one location to another so long as they didn't weigh more then seven hundred pounds, he could probably even pull or push a handful times that behind him or in front of him so long as he had a stable enough hold and the depending on the terrain - but people would probably already be suspicious of how such a slender elf could be so strong so he wouldn't bother unless it was simply too troublesome for what was left of the crew to manage.

Vesterfay will realize the most important person to deal with will be Indiga, and then the mighty chef Olmeric, who has now returned from checking on the safety of his three teen assistants below decks. Olmeric's eyes are filled with rage and tears, but gives a nod to Indiga letting her know his assistants live.

Vesterfay soothes Indiga with magic words, that seem gentle and kind to her. Her mood does change a little. "I assure you my noble friend. The Guildmaster is doing his best to recover damages. And I'm telling you, he has a particular soft spot for your missing captain. So, believe me when I say we are your best friends right now. This mess isn't something we wanted either. The involvement of the guildmaster's son has made this whole bust even more complicated. Still, a lot has been accomplished. The loss of most of the crew is regretful. The guildmaster has already offered put up the funds to give these frozen souls's dependent's full military benefits. Allie's mother has a lot to pull from, and I was hoping we could indict her, but we may have lost that chance with Vito-four being here." He seems to find the old Guildmaster's fondness for Captain Allie an annoying thing, even more so than finding Vito IV here with other colorful wizard-types.

Dr. Lavando is silent, and nods in agreement with his younger associate's astute assessment of the situation. By the end of Vesterfay's 'masterful' speech Indiga will trust Vesterfay. Though she can still hate everyone else along not named Vesterfay. Arha will have noticed the minor magical effect that Vesterfay used to calm the Hadozee Boatswain.

Vesterfay laughs at Tylo and answers Olrik, holding his hands together in front of himself. "Never throw in the towel. That is a fool's route.

As for direction... well... we have none regarding the old mission. Now... the Master wants to find Captain Allie." The two wizards will let the crew decide on the doppelganger.

Another of the empress-wizards in green-red robes appears via teleport alone. This is another dark haired female Lemurian like much of the people you have met recently. She is well put together and attractive, possibly in her mid-40's. She bows respectfully, not sure who to speak to. "I have come to find those who were witness to the crimes of Rear Admiral Thrace Rockfire."

Lavando and Vesterfay look to you guys.

{Correction: Allie's mother is a red-head, like her daughter. Not Magenta as was posted earlier in this thread.}

OOC- I like wizards, so I obviously have wizard factions. This is a rough explanation of the robe color codes and factions:

Wizard Robe:
Black Robes- Used by Military, Navy, and Scholars; also guild wizards
Green/Red Robes- Empress's special wizard force
Blue Robes- Former rebel wizards, now known as wizards of the North.
Multi-colors- Usually themed for noble-wizards, includes only noble wizard-admirals

Wizard Factions:
Empress Wizards- Handpicked by the Empress to watch over the Empire
Guild Wizards- Friends of Arha, Olrik, Aust, and Indiga's 'friends'
Wizard-Admirals- Ran the Navy of old, still have a big influence
Northern Wizards- Of the Far away good North
Others..... :smallamused:

This genius woman in green/red and gold-trimmed robes eyes the living crew, and notices Calli is gone. "And bring me that jeweled hobbit! She needs to answer for this too!" She is mad, but not the kind of mad where she is about to launch fireballs. She actually seems civilized... compared to the wizards any of you have met so far.

But all this? Too expensive. However..." She looks at the rubble hole into the ship from which Calli leapt.

'Depends on what you mean by 'superior' I suppose...' Aust thinks with a smirk to himself as Olrik answers the mage in his fashion.

"...Sarcastic notions aside, I take it you need to speak with more people and most are up here, so logically it would be inefficient to go and talk to her when the bulk of those you need to speak with might disperse to their duties; otherwise you probably would go down below to talk to her face to face I take it." Aust adds with a slight nod setting down what he's carrying and clapping his hands clean of wood particles. I'll go with you... Aust? The name is Calli. She blushes slightly. I, uh, didn't mean to lose control of the suit. It's.... new.

"Pleasure," He nods at the introduction. "Understood, Fret not - for even the gods are not immune to embarrassing accidents. And im sure if they're honest, there's not a mortal alive who could say they've never been embarrassed. Though probably a handful who could say they've never streaked across a boat deck before." He chuckles into his hand slightly.

"This reminds me of when I was in my adolescent years," He adds turning to the hall to walk back up to the deck. "When I learned I had an allergy to sunlight and had to leave my company and join the night patrols. Though I suppose that's more of a depressing humiliation, perhaps it wasn't the right story - after all im no bard." He smirks. "Point is i've Been a night person ever since. I suppose it's the small moments that make us step back and examine ourselves and allow us to grow as individuals."

Main Deck:
Geraldine, the imperial wizard in green/red is patient, and looks out over the sea as she turns her back to the main deck. With this ship disabled, it isn't going anywhere.

Indiga, meanwhile, can get the crew back to work. For now Thobrick and his remaining assistant keep their noses down, and will act as good members of the crew while the investigation takes place. Golt and the mercenaries also seem rattled by the powerful display, and will help as is in their job description.

Olmeric and his three teen sidekicks, who were safe below decks in the blast, will be very helpful for morale, and will keep the weary and defeated crew well-fed. Fresh meat will be cooked in the kitchen to cover any other scents.

Vesterfay will help too {with magic}even using force-magic to lift the rear mast, and hold it in place, so the remaining specialists can jury rig a brace for it. With time and Vesterfay's magic, it can even be better than before.

Whenever Calli returns to the deck Geraldine will light-up excitedly.
{OOC- Lex-kat- Please note if Calli 'wears' the mask. With the dragonscale in place Calli can feel her high armor class, as well as sensing some interesting magical protections/properties that she has yet to test out.}

Much to the surprise of even Vesterfay, Geraldine bows before the hobbit.
"I am honored to meet you. The empress has been dying to meet you." For some reason Calli gets the feeling Geraldine speaks to the suit, and not necessarily the hobbit. The suit will not respond.

Calli follows Aust, but stops in her tracks as she hears his story. She's heard of vampires, of course. Though, she's always felt they were myth.

She then shakes her head with a smile, and continues to follow. Indiga would never allow a real vampire onto her ship. It'd be bad for morale. Not to mention more than a little deadly for the crew.

Yeah, I like the night time too. It's a lot more quiet at night. Not as many people awake to see you running across the deck, with nothing but a scalemail bikini on.

She does shift the mask into place as she comes up on deck. She doesn't trust this woman. And even more so when she bows to her. No, not her. The suit. What... are you doing? Calli takes a step back, drawing one of her daggers, and taking a defensive stance.

The crew will stop to watch as Calli comes out fully clad in the thin shiny green scale. Her mask, and dark green 'eyeholes' give her the appearance of a miniature green draconian {mythical humanoid dragons}.

Geraldine chuckles at Calli's drawn dagger. "I don't think you want to use that on me. What am I doing? I'm doing my job. And I find you. A gem dragon-knight." The glittery emerald-green color of the suit is now visible to all on the main deck, as a clear difference from normal 'green'. "Now you tell me. Where are you going? Calli's frown deepens. She looks for Indiga. We... we are going to save Prince Zgata. He's, a friend of the captain's. The last part of the last sentence sounds almost like a question.

She's not certain what they are going to do. She would much rather turn around and try to find Captain Allie and maybe the lost priestess. She cares not for some princling. And the first clue to finding the Captain, is to question the doppelganger. What happened to the impersonator?

Olrik steps forwards.

"At my request it is under my responsibility for the time being. If however the crew decides that having a shapechanger on board who has akready decieved them is too great a threat then I am sure we can arrange for somebody to take it away from here."

"Prince Zgata. Hmm..." Geraldine scratches her chin and thinks for a moment. She is very calm, and patient. "Prince Zgata is a concern for the empress, but out of your hands now."

The doppelganger is still restrained magically, and is now verbally gagged as well. Vesterfay has this 'impersonator' under his control. Olrik is able to move the restrained doppelganger as he wishes. "You did say, milady, that we might need it to find Allie." He gives a long hard look at the doppelganger, who's wide white eyes blink innocently.

"Yes... and that brings me to the main quandary at-hand: The legitimacy of this whole captainless crew."

2010-05-20, 03:00 PM
"Indeed. The crew certainly needs a captain but as I am aware one of the main points of contention about the recent admiralty was that they had no actual right to be here, am I correct? They forced themselves upon the crew replacing the existing captain with a counterfeit. Therefore any of your wizardly factions with an interest in the ship..." Olrik looks over at Calli "Would be just as an illegitimate authority and therefore the exact same problem as before would still exist. Therefore common sense dictates that one of the crew who either new the captain well or was of a high rank should be temporarily promoted in her stead. There are two obvious candidates that come to mind but I feel that with the current...state... of things Calli is not the best option. Therefore I recommend the only person who seems to have the entire crews interests at mind, Miss Montoya. I am sure that if you consult with the crew they will agree that she would make a good captain and that none of them want another outsider to be placed in charge."

Indeed, ever since we suspected that the captain was not herself, I have been acting Captain aboard this vessel. Now that we know that she is not aboard It will be my top priority to find Allie so that she may have her crummy job back. Unfortunately, unless a bunch of you wizards teleport her back to us, it will be difficult to track her down. So until we find her trail we will continue with her original mission, and find that prince. She may not currently be the ship's captain but she's still the shipowner. I still have to report to her when we find her. And find her we will."

Yes, I believe that command would naturally fall to Indiga, unless anyone has any objections. Calli pauses, but as it is unlikely anyone would object. Even Thobrick wouldn't wish to draw attention to himself, I would think.

And I feel a little insulted that you would think that I would turn this ship around and fly back to the Imperial Port city. Infact, I'm certain I know exactly who to blame for Allie's disappearance. Calli looks up at Geraldine with determination. But I currently don't have the power to do anything about her.

Geraldine is amused at Olrik's speech. "Unfortunately the empress's laws supersede those written for common man. Just be lucky her mother the fire empress is still not on the throne. If she was the whole ship and crew would be dead from a rain of fire." Vesterfay has to nod in agreement, and shrugs with his hands still held delicately together in front of him.

"As for the Lady Montoya's windfall-position it is true, but only as far as she co-operates with the Empress's Court. With the Vicomtesse Allie Alandra gone, the ownership of the vehicle falls to her mother. Her mother is under imperial investigation, so that means this ship is mine. Technically." She blinks calmly, daring anyone to question her.

She will turn back to Indiga and speak slowly. "Now then, I think that you and I have one thing in common. And that is in the finding of the Vicomtesse. Which means your quest for Zgata ends here. I understand that his guardian protector, Baka, will need help finding his prince. And that is where my people come in. You are in luck Antarian, my new empress has an interest in Prince Zgata. However, your interest stops here on the Black Tornado, due to MY interest in finding Captain Allie. Understand." She looks at everyone slowly.

The surviving crew will want to find Allie over Zgata. Little can deter them from that goal. Even the new mercenaries who don't seem to care a bit will want to go after Allie, who is ultimately who pays the bills.

Vesterfay will sidle close to Arha and hopefully Olrik if he is near. Likely Aust will overhear, because he can. "Looks like we aren't done with this Captain Allie. Vito wants her back, but I can't go with you. You two need to make sure the real-Allie gets control of this ship. Why does our master loves this 'girl' so much? I don't know. But, it is his wish to get her to safety. Vito will want you guys here to keep an eye on her until things 'calm' down in the Imperial Seas."

Openly in front of all Geraldine is most respectful of Calli, and will almost ask her a question. "Sound good dear hobbit? The Vicomtesse will need a protector, and that sceptre found a way to bound with you for some reason. It is an excellent idea to let Indiga run things once we get your ship up and running. I cannot be here to pilot your ship, I have SO many things to do. Indiga would make an excellent choice as captain-pro-tempore." The way she rolled her eyes at the previous statement made it seem true. This wizard-lady is a very busy woman.

OOC- Anyone else who feels they want to safely retire their PC, may choose to follow Baka and the imperial wizards to find Prince Zgata. Those wanting to find the Captain can continue on the dangerous journey.

Tylo

Tylo steps forward from the railing where he'd been standing watching the situation unfold. "Well, everyone. I'd like to find Allie as much as the rest of you. However, Prince Zgata must be found also. I have conferred with Vogel, and while he doesn't have an idea about the Captain's whereabouts, he does still have a trail to follow on Zgata. If others are continuing on the Prince's trail, Vogel and I will join them. It only seems right that we help where our aid is most beneficial."

He turns to Indiga. "I hope you'll understand. Good luck with everything here. I'm sure you'll do well, I have rarely seen anyone so devoted to her ship and crew." He turns back to face the rest of the crew. "And goodbye and goodluck to the rest of you as well. I truly hope you find Allie and are able to give those that took her a whole mess of trouble in the process." He pauses for a moment, collecting his thoughts. "But I'm not really one for long goodbyes, so... uh... See ya."

He turns and begins walking toward where Zgata's rescue party is forming. "Come on Vogel." The cloak on Tylo's shoulder suddenly bunches as if an unseen hawk has perched on it.

'Why does she annoy me so much...' Aust contemplates listening to Geraldine talk. 'This all feels very familiar, this air of superiority, that know it all way of speech like you're talking down to someone of a lower station.' He adds tilting his head with a realization. 'I wonder if this is what it feels like to be a servant.' Aust ponders, the general tone of this Geraldine reminding him a lot of himself when he was younger - perhaps that is what irritated him most of all since it opened unhealed wounds.

'I wonder if Siegfried or any of the other workers ever wanted to punch me in the neck like I do now.' He continues contemplating as the visual of him striking Geraldine in the throat comes up only to be quickly replaced by his old cohort Siegfried punching him similarly... And then getting disintegrated.

'I wish we had departed on better terms...' He closes his eyes partially imagining his old friends destruction via beholder; his face relaxing as signs of a momentary depression show themselves and then quickly vanish with a blink as he fingers something under his shirt at the collarbone. He would like to think he always appreciated his companion more since his banishment and journey across the ocean. But there was part of him that wondered if maybe Siegfried hadn't and that chafed.

Aust will give a final goodbye to those he served with during his short stay who are joining the rescue party and lament slightly that he had not gotten to know them better and all the other before wishing them the best of luck. But his contract as far as anyone knew was with the ship and honestly, he knew so little of the prince that he did not feel comfortable joining a rescue team.

She'll wish Tylo and the invisible Vogel well, after all, he was kind to her familiar and she views that action in a favorable light, even if she doesn't particularly believe there is an invisible Vogel, but no need to bring that up.

She'll be staying with the ship and continuing on in the search for the real Captain. She is curious about what happened to her and where she is. She's also enjoying the companionship of her hawk since she doesn't get to see her very often.

Crossing her arms the captain-pro-tempore stares back at Geraldine, "If you truly belive Allie to be alive then you have no claim upon this ship. I respect your authority, but unless thousands of fat merchant's have it wrong, the ship owner does not have to be aboard. If you have evidence of her whereabouts or even a lead I will turn this ship around and begin the search at once. However, currently it would seem to be a frivolous wild goose chase during witch we could assist you in our mutual goal of rescuing the prince. It's every little girls dream is it not?" She finishes with a smile and a wink. "Due to the recent calamity that has befallen our crew, we have more than enough food for all of you, and a chef who would hate to see it spoil. Geraldine looks at Tylo with surprise, the unassuming fellow had been silent all along. "Hmm... yes, I heard word the ship had a spirit-guide. Our tracker will indeed need your help in finding Prince Zgata. It will do well for building imperial relations with the diverse people of Antaria." She nods her head respectfully to Baka.

Within a couple of hours Geraldine and Vesterfay will magically get the ship into makeshift working order. It still looks like crap, the command deck is half blown up. Luckily the whole steering column at the center of it was undamaged by the explosion of the rear captain's lounge. If it wasn't for Baka and Indiga's specialized repairs and magical-defenses on the ship, more of the whole thing would have been destroyed.

The rescue party gathers around Geraldine to be teleported away, shortly after the ship is ready to move again. Arha will be surprised to see the effect of some raptor gripping Tylo's shoulder. Arha will notice that her hawk did have an affinity for Tylo, and will give a cry out loud when Geraldine begins casting. A final farewell from Arha's familiar to the kind guide.

When Indiga speaks to Geraldine she is a little surprised and narrows her eyes. "If the Vicomtesse is alive then you are still wrong. But, you are correct, I do not own the ship. The empress owns everything. I am her spokeswoman here. And since the Vicomtesse is her kin, it is now your job to recover her. At last word your captain was sold to guild slavers. YOUR people, Lady Arha. So, I suggest you sort things out with old man Vito." She seems pleased at possibly opening up a new can of worms.

Vesterfay is defensive, but calm, moving his hands behind to the small of his back. "That wasn't MY 'people' dear, Geraldine."

Geraldine will spin to face Indiga fiercely, "You best do everything to get your captain back. Or bless your alien soul, I'll have to place you under arrest for treason against the empress. Believe me, we'll make everyone's job easier. Already as you can see I have two of your excellent crewmen assisting me. Zgata's protector and the damn guide who seems to know right where he is. I will be heading that mission. If you want to come, dear Hadozee, be my guest. I guess I can promote my own captain-pro-tempore."

Assuming, Indiga backs down to the threat of arrest and ship seizure, Geraldine will teleport away quite abruptly with her 'staff'.
{OOC- Final good-byes can be said, but after this Geraldine, Baka, and Tylo will be retired out of the game.}

Vesterfay stays looking at the spot Geraldine and the 'rescue party' had been. He is loud enough so that everyone on the main deck can hear, but he is not really speaking to anyone. "Do not worry Captain Montoya. I'll get you to the nearest imperial port. From there you will be in-charge. I'm here to make sure you get there." He points to the surrounding sea, and motions with his hand. He will cast a shimmering illusion, revealing a tiny green haze, only visible with magic or psionics. A sphere that surrounds the ship out to 100 feet. "Nothing I don't want can enter that sphere magically or psionically. Only material travel is allowed through the sphere. We will need those who can view invisible forces." He'll nod in ode twice to Olrik, a guild-wizard Vesterfay is likely well-versed in Olrik's 'older' skills.

Baka

Baka has been silently anxious during all of the events. During the last bit all he has done is stood, staring at the Golden Spear in his hand and every now and then shaking his head. The internal struggle between his loyalty to Captain Allie, a beloved friend, and his duty to Prince Zgata, his charge and evidently his destiny is tearing at him. But his decision is clear by the end of Geraldine's offer and he gratefully accepts Tylo's help with a clasp of the fellow ranger's hand. "We must find Zgata. It is of an importance that none of us know yet. Thank you my friend. And thank you Vogel."

While preparations are being made he finds three of the crew to speak with; Olmeric, Zhako, and Indiga. "I am sorry to leave this duty to you. Find the Captain. The last time I left her she was dead. This time she is lost. But she has great friends in each of you and a greater spirit that will not yield to even this. I will find you again if my duties allow." He gives each of them a grateful embrace and offers his stores to help repair the ship. The captain had made him a rich man on the Red Tornado.

Calli quickly runs to Tylo and Baka before they are teleported away. With tears in her eyes, she'll look up at each of them.

To Tylo. I'll miss you. I know we didn't talk much, because I was forced into hiding, but I did enjoy the time we spent. By Vogel. She gives Tylo a hug. Though she doesn't really believe in the spirit guide, she respects Tylo enough to say goodbye to it, also.

Then turning to Baka. Thank you for all your kindness. The food, the clothes. You have been like a big brother to me, in my time of need. Protecting and keeping watch when we met with Olrik for the first time. I wish I could help you with your search for Prince Zgata, but you know I can't. Right? She aks, pleading, as if she needs his permission to search for the captain.

Whatever he says, she gives him a big hug, slipping him one of her daggers. To remember me by. Maybe it'll bring you good luck.

After they leave, she'll silently take her place near the Hadozee. When Indiga starts talking back to the wizard-lady, Calli starts to get worried. Please, Indiga. She'll kill you. Even with the crew decimated, and without Baka or Tylo, the ship will sail decently with Vesterfay's wind-magic pushing the wounded ship along. Vesterfay is silent, and a little nervous, not of Arha or Olrik, but of the rest of the crew; especially Aust. :smallamused:

He will work closely with the trusty Navigator Yondrick to get the ship to the nearest imperial port of worth. One day Vesterfay will approach Calli. He is a little nervous of the short dragonknight, and will be extremely timid and respectful to her. "We are on your side, Calli. I believe you of all people want Captain Allie back. And by WE, I mean, the Guild. The only one you know." Calli knows of this 'Guild', they run all the labor unions, the seas, and pretty much run all involved in the economy.... which means just about everything including whole kingdoms. "Dragons have only to gain from us. No matter what shade their scales glitter. The empress would never kill you. I've seen that woman. She's liable to love you. I think I may have been under the effect of some sort of enchantment or something. There was the girl Jinifir and then Petisto arrived, we discussed her being returned to her family, political importance and all that, Petisto seemed to have other ideas in mind for her and so there was some onjection and then we recieved a sending from Archduke Javin I believe. "Admiral Alandra is a well-respected person. We must be prepared if we are to take her down a peg.

The Empress. Ruler remaining Old Empire. The Northern Queen you speak of has only but a drop of the power Arrianna III has at her fingertips.

Young Erria's father? Do you mean Enke the nudist?? Once again these are people and powers outside the empire. The Northern Kingdom foments trouble all the time for the Empire, from many avenues. It is also the land of the many drow cities deep in the Underdark."

Vesterfay will listen to Olrik, "Yes. The Archduke Javin has many Northern friends. It doesn't surprise me that this man is involved in this. One of Javin's vassals, Duke Kain, used the well-known rebel orc, Lockhart, as a pawn for years.

We will go to Lemuria. The heart of the Empire. We must go into the lion's den!"

Of the four officer rooms Indiga and Kerri each have one. Calli is told to take one by Vesterfay, and he will stay in the cramped specialist bunks below. This will be Baka's former room. Arha will then be offered the missing priestess's room, which is across the hall from Kerri.

Arha misses Sharon and while Kerri certainly doesn't compare in that area. It would be nice to have a bit of companionship, as long as Kerri doesn't mind Arha sleeping with a dagger under her pillow. She won't pursue much more than friendship with Kerri and she'll still keep an eye out for certain other things she has charge of.

Calli's not-so hidden room will be repaired below decks. As far as rank goes, the Navigator Yondrick could get the 4th room.

Arha will find Kerri wise, but not too intelligent. Likely, the reason a hot priestess gets herself on some brutal mercenary mission. She is attracted to Arha's power, but will keep things 'plutonic' for now. If Arha pushes she could easily charm the priestess without magic, but the priestess for some reason is prudish with Arha, even though she was literally a former temple-whore. In fact, Arha will find out in private, that this profession is how she got to know Pyae. Pyae was doing 'work' in the humanlands for the elves. She was actually using this mission to contact her allies in the North. No chance of going there now.

Olrik keeps himself to his self for the time being, Vesterfay and Arha being the only ones likely to see him much. He is well aware that a lot of the crew likely feel some ill will towards him and so he will not allow it to fester by risking an incident with anyone. He will not shirk his duties though and will do his fare share of the work. Hopefully when the new crewmen arrive he will be able to integrate more, perhaps even make a good impression but for the time being it is best to lay low.

Aust works near tirelessly below decks during the day and above decks at night. Occasionally during the day's he'll be attempting to get to know the crew better during points of free time, especially meals. He feigns eating his own 'elven' rations complaining his stomach is not adjusted to the seas and foreign food but will openly share his portions served to him with those at his table.

Aust will continue to accept challenges from the crew for drinking contests, tests of speed and agility, small gambling and possibly even a scrap or two should people complain about him winning too much. He'll wear any teeth he knocks out on a necklace in case they consider starting something with him again and as an interesting conversation starter with new crew-members when they come aboard at a later time.

"I wonder how Diamondell is doing," Aust ponders aloud casually as he works.

Olrik will find that Roger, and the other Lemurian mercenaries gravitate to him. They see his power and connection to the guild as important. At this point Roger is the most helpful of all the crewman, at times doing backbreaking labor, clearly to impress Indiga and the mysterious Psion.

Aust will become the life of the party, and his natural leadership, even in this 'lowly' undercover position/rank on the ship will attract friends and followers to himself. Even tussling with the crew helps his cause, big Gertha to his surprise will whip his butt in bare knuckle boxing. Though he could've feigned ways to make it go longer... Gertha will wear one of his pointy canines she knocked out in a boast. Strangely enough it will have grown back the next day. Gertha will comment: "Moon elfs is weird."

No one really knows what Diamondell is on this ship.

Indiga will get through the book and will gain some basic knowledge of the illithids. The book only explains their origin as: Not of Earth.

Arha and Kerri:
Kerri is front the heart of the high magic Empire. The Northern Kingdom to her is like a quaint little utopia land, but too little to take seriously. Though she does see power in the elves and drow of the land.

Aust has respect for anyone who can defeat him fairly, even if his strengths are in less then fair fights. He even laughs a little when he looses a tooth, quite amused with the power of the blow. 'This one would make a good guardian. Perhaps when I learn to be a proper leader of my people I'll see if she's interested.' He smirks giving her a playful wink and a thumb of approval after the fight since he cant say much right away with the swollen jaw - though the swelling would be gone in an hour even if the tooth hadn't returned.

Aust will make it a point to try and meet with the people the mage's and he would find important on a cycle if possible giving each some time on a particular day as they make their way to port. He'll start with Calli considering the interesting conversation starter of "You know I once fought an emerald dragon in an old abandoned keep controlled by - hmm now what are they called? Ill'ith'id? Mostly human bodies, with some calamari up top, you know what im talking about right?" popped into his head after getting struck by Gertha - similar outcomes too. "Care to hear the story? Or perhaps another of my fascinating tales of heroism from your humble port hopping moon elf?" If Calli is not interested he may tell the story to Arha as well, after all with what he know Aust thinks she'll like one of the side characters - a female mage by the name of Sharon.

Sorry I got delayed, fell asleep and then had to work longer then I thought.
"Probably as much foolishness as bravery,” He smirks slightly. “but bravado now that i'll agree on whole heartedly; As is the story tellers right, i'll skip the parts of the story that make me and the hero’s look bad so, lets ignore the first two ambushes where we lost a single member of our party expedition a piece” he adds drawing a little string at his neck and openly displaying a small pouch. “One a close personal friend whom I like to think is still very near to my heart. Siegfried Calli, Calli Siegfried.” He adds with a slight tone of morbid humor before dropping the subject entirely.

“So, we had entered these ruins and beneath the statue to this eldritch madness they call a god – we find these slave’s from some other plane of existence that look more like a bipedal dragons roughly the size of a human I believe they called themselves draconians. So after finding out what they knew about the complex some of us escorted them to the surface while the rest of us went hold off some sort of undead demon coated in grease with a frightening aura that scared away all but myself and our cleric. So while we’re fighting this creature, the rest of them scramble up to the keeps hall." He says motioning like a mouth about to swallow three outstretched fingers on the other hand.

"The dragon crashed into the hall with a mighty billowing roar of; 'Traitors'! As half the draconian slaves numbers were turned into a gorey paste from the beasts cone of sonic energy. Hearing this I tripped the abomination with my halberd and had the cleric ward the hall with a circle of protection to stop the creatures advance before we fell back to support our comrades in obvious peril. By the time we arrived everyone was in pretty horrible shape and if we didnt act fast the dragon was about to make things alot worse - so I used my innate talent of annoyance to buy my comrades some time." Aust adds striking a heroic pose in mocking jest.

"I vaulted from the stone floor with my halberd and flung myself into the side of the creatures leg where I began to work over his kneecap." He adds gesturing as if holding onto something with the rest of his body while striking with the other hand. "Of course, not liking this one bit the creature took in a deep breath and bellowed towards me and thankfully away from everyone else, while I dug in my fingers and slid around the other side of his leg as he lacerated himself slightly with his own attack."

He releases his mimed hold before continuing. "I climbed unto the creatures back and attempted to get somewhere I could remain out of the creatures breath and yet still have an impact on the fight, so I attempted to hold onto a wing with each arm - of course this resulted in some bad wing buffets and a claw when he finally managed to knock me away but I kept him from flying away long enough. Thankfully with my sacrifice everyone was able to rise again and we pushed back the beast. I was knocked unconscious for a moment and free of my hindrance the creature sought to escape after knocking the few obstacles in his way aside. One of the slave acolytes managed to wake me in time and I picked up the majority of the statue broken from the creatures breath and hurled it above the creature, forcing it to dive towards the lower doorway where our cleric placed a timely magical wall of whirling blades." Aust adds making a squishing sound while gesturing with his hands how it turned out.

"Their guardian defeated, we made quick work of the Illithid who did not wish to lose more to our group and thankfully we were benevolent considering those in our company who died; But I suppose we still killed more of them when all things were said and done... And there was the fact that the casters had almost no combat spells at their disposal after that battle with the dragon and with our numbers depleted we would have probably lost if we continued to try and ferrite out their remaining numbers." He says realizing the ending to the story sounds like a slightly hollow victory. "I'll say this, they have some interesting toys those Illithid, if the battery had any charges left I'd probably still be carrying around one of their weapons as a trophy."

The tale of the death of the dragon will sadden Calli behind her mask, as she will feel the emotions of the sceptre's spirit. In her mind the voice will soothe her, and her sadness can be held strong and stoic. "Yet another has fallen, but he was a bad one Calli. One that went real bad. He slew many of our own kind." Nonetheless, Calli will feel longing from the suit, one that seems to want to fling Calli forcefully into the air to spread non-existent wings.

And any one of these can move the body in different ways given the right, stimulus." "As for the current situation, I do not yet possess enough information to make a good decision. I have never meet the captain but she seems a decent enough person to command such respect from her crew and cohorts. As for the guilds responsibility, I would not say it is 'impossible' for a rogue faction or an independent splinter cell to do something like this -" He adds before whispering. "In fact it plays into the whole investigation and sting of the imperial wizards quite nicely since the guild needed a closed environment to observe and detain these individuals and her disappearance casually presented the opportunity." He adds scratching his chin.

"I truthfully wonder if we are simply being used by outside forces to diminish the guilds power, or if the guild is simply covering its trail by having us take care of a supposed rogue faction... But, more will be revealed when we arrive I suppose - but im in no hurry to jump to any conclusion as of yet."
