... but today I'm just 17. Ah, well. At least now I can sing Rolf's part.

What does it actually mean, being 16 and "going on 17"?

It's a song from The Sound of Music, I believe. Means you're 16, going to be 17 soon.

It means that one is aged 16, but is looking forward to being 17. It's from The Sound of Music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VydLmPZVejE&feature=related).

EDIT: Gah! The ninjas!

I'm confused ... how is this a problem in need of correction?

It's not my fault he has a name with three syllables.

I believe Christopher Plummer called it "Sound of Mucus". He hated it.

Happy birthday!!

Sound of Music. Again. 'How do you solve a problem like Maria' is another song from it.

Happy birthday!

Why, at this age, you can take on anything! Climb ev'ry mountain!

That one was kinda lame, but I was just in a production of the Sound of Music. I'm a reference machine. Hit me. :smalltongue:

Not in Australia...you have to be 18.

But he can legally have sex in South Australia. If he's from anywhere else but Tasmania, he could do that a year ago.

I had a crush on a girl named Liesel for about a year. I asked her out and she said "no." I moved on, she became sullen and depressed that I didn't like her anymore. I managed to break my best friend's heart, and she managed to end up in an anorexia clinic.

Needless to say, this song carries a little baggage with me :smallwink:
