Bouncing Idea's around for a PC idea or two im trying to get a list of all the PrCs that allow for casting in Armour without failure and continue main class spell progression. Not worried about caster level loss or requirements, just the ability to cast in armour.

Have though of using a Warmage/Beguiler/Dread Necro or a Battle Sorcerer but would prefer to play a Core till PrC caster and then gain the ability to cast in armour

All i can think of at the moment though is Spellsword and Knight Phantom

Geomancer pg41 of Complete Divine (only up to versatility score though).
You completely ignore it since you cast arcane spells as divine when want (and vice versa if need to).
Since Divine spells have no ASF, there is no failure.

Drawback: requires 2nd lv divine (and 2nd lv arcane).

Knight Phantom also gets to ignore light armor ASF

Mithril Chain Shirt with the Twilight enchantment has ASF of 0%, so there's always that.

or you just sudden or normal still all spells
might cost ya a spell-lvl, but a lvl 3 wizard can wear a fullplate if he wants...
or only cant non somatic spells

Feycrafted Mithril Chainmail with a Thistledown suit mod. also has 0% ASF, but is a slightly lowered cost, since it is non-magical.

The Battlecaster feat (CArc, I think) allows you to increase the type of armor you can ignore one step. Light -> Med, for instance.

But you do have to get casting in armor to start with.

Hence my Bard4/Warblade6/Jade Phoenix Mage5 casting just fine in Mithril Full Plate.

+X Mythril Breastplate with Twilight, and Thistledown. It's pricey, but I like.

Actually, if I may, I offer you the Abjurant Champion. Sure, it isn't real armor, but blowing a spell slot of (Greater) Luminous Armor every morning will save you cash in the long run, assuming you have some way to mitigate the couple points of temporary strength damage. As the bonus to AC from GLA is bound to be higher than most contemporary armors you can get down to ASF 0, you can throw on a +1 twilight mithral chain shirt and just load it up with useful enhancements instead.

I'm sad. Nobody has mentioned the Spellsword (Complete Warrior) yet! Except for me, of course. It lets you channel spells through your weapon, as well as get more spells and let you ignore spell failure chances for armor! It's an amazing prestige class!

OP mentioned it so it seemed redundant. :smallwink:
