I am a retailer of wine and spirits. Currently it is raining and traffic in the store has been slow. Does anyone have any questions about booze that need to be answered?

Have you checked the front pocket of your jacket?

What's your favorite brand of absinthe, and why?

Green moon. It is fairly mellow, with a delightful aftertaste and until the end of the month it is on special for $24.99.

What spirits/liquor are in the bottle inside box my parents sent me. I'm not aloud to open it until my birthday.

What bottle would you like there to be in there?

What do you think of English Whisky.

How did you come up with such a witty title?

Because I for one quite enjoy it.

Situation:

I'm at a bar with a lady friend and I want to drink something impressive. Now, I'd normally just drink Guinness all night, but that only impresses my Irish friends. What do I drink?

Bonus points:

Affordability
I'd prefer no strong tasting liquor (makes me want to vomit, not so much the content does it but the taste)

A slightly more expensive type of wine?

Where do you get the spirits? Like, from haunted houses, or do you employ some sort of Ghostbusters-type group to gather them, or what?

How do you keep them from leaving the alcoholic liquids to haunt something else?

What's the manliest cocktail/mix?

Other than a Vesper?
(Three measures gin, one measure vodka, half a measure Lillet, shaken till cold, served with a lemon peel)

What's a good New Zealand sauvignon blanc?

What's the most you've spent on a single drink or shot?
$30 on a shot of a 25 year old Scotch whose name I couldn't spell, pronounce or even remember to save my life. To be honest? It tasted like a slightly finer version of Chivas Regal and damn well wasn't worth it.

Can't answer the first question, but I believe the best way to keep the spirits inside alcoholic liquids is to seal them inside a bottle. They will also grant you 3 wishes once you finally open it.

An appletini, duh!

Girliest is probably a Cosmo due to its prominence in Sex and the City. However, I do like a Cape Cod, which is just Cranberry and Vodka.

Manliest is probably a Boilermaker: a beer and a shot of whisky.

My favorites are (gin) martinis and gin and tonics.

How about Bunnahabhain?

What is the best way to enjoy a glass of whisky?

Dram o' whisky in a glass.
Add splash of water to taste. Room temperature water, preferrably.
DO NOT add ice.

Do you have or have you ever seen a swiss wine sold anywhere outside of Switzerland? Is there anyone knowing of a distributor of swiss wines, anywhere, elsewhere in the world?

Or do we just drink it all over here?

From Wikipedia:

Nearly all the national production is drunk within the national boundaries; less than 2% of the wine is exported (mainly to Germany).

Yeah, I know, I was just curious if a Spiritualist had come upon any of them. Not they are particularly good wines, but some are nice, especially with cheese.

I'd posit the Andrew Jackson. A1 steak sauce and whiskey over broken glass.

You may want to revise your position on this when "room temperature" is 35°C (95°F) or higher...
